Breast milk jewellery- cute or wierd?!

Okay.... so I can't decide if this is cute or WIERD.

But..... I am currently bf and drawing to the end of the journey- maybe another month or 2. I feel really sad about giving up but I know it's time.

I saw some breast milk jewellery where they use resin to make a pearl looking stone out of breast milk.

I thought maybe this would be a cute keepsake... if not to wear then maybe just a little heart shaped one to keep in a special box.

Thoughts on this? Cute? wierd?

Also- do you know of any other ideas for breastfeeding keepsakes/ souvenirs?

@My2pence2day i had a section at 14 days overdue, lazy sod, so my placenta looked like a jigsaw. Thinking back it was probably in perfect earring shaped pieces!

Ha ha, damn missed opportunity! 😂 You could have started quite the trend! 🤣🤣🤣

Ouchmehip · 11/01/2023 01:10

It would have made up for his current gas bill from extended shower usage 🤦🏼‍♀️

Why don't you just get a nice piece of real pearl jewellery? Does the job, but without the weirdness.

I can't believe that this was on the first page and y'all got into ANOTHER breast vs formula debate instead of breast milk vs oyster snot. Shame on all of you.

Oyster snot helps making babies, that mums can feed how see they see best. So
there’s a tenuous link 🤣

Wow.... this thread has gone round the houses.
I personally want one of these rings and did question whether it was weird too but I think when I stop feeding I'm going to do it.

If somebody says I'm bragging or implying it's any part of breast v formula nonesense i think I would laugh in their face. Why do we have to make feeding a baby such a public argument and try to make people guilty if they so much as mention breast feeding never mind celebrate THEIR achievement. I'm not married, I don't look at wedding rings and feel hurt or think that person is bragging. People with jewellery that have their children's names on are not doing it to upset people who can't have kids. Yes things can hit a nerve but other people need to accept at some point it ain't all about you or to offend you.

Another thing people who said its disgusting and you shouldn't prepare food. I don't think it weeps boob juice everywhere like some weird boob juice slug. I also wouldn't look at what pearls are if I was you.

All the arguments on feeding and babies bond is wild. A secure attachment is one of if not the most important thing and that's built by making sure the kids needs are met and they are loved and feel safe. So no matter how your babies are fed as long as they are fed and are loved and taken care of then your doing what you need to and your doing amazing 👏💛

I think it's a lovely idea. It would remind me of how far I've come with breastfeeding because it's been really hard! Remind me to be proud of myself. All those that think it's weird clearly haven't breastfed... x

Someone who has the ability to empathise with others. So like... a regular human, I guess?

Nope that is wrong

It is very magical xx

Absolutely this! I'm so bored of the whole breastfeeding vs formula feeding arguments that go on.
I have debated whether or not to get one as well and if I did I doubt anyone would even realise it was made from breastmilk. If someone asked of course I'd tell them but I don't think many people would ask.

An empath feel what others feel like good/Bad emotions. It can get very tiring. Also we feel sorry for arseholes too. The worst part of it
