I have had enough of the bitches on this site. I know there are plenty of nice, genuine mumsnetters too but too many bitches. I am ending my membership.

your not a newbie are you Adamadamum? im sure you are on the SN boards with an Autistic child......though i may be mistaken so i apologise if thats the case.

if it is you im thinking about then you have had lots of help, support and advice from all of us in SN and i think its quite hurtfull to speak in blanket terms about this entire site.

but hey, if you dont like it here then thats up to you...just dont make such a big deal about it and go.

And of course starting a thread in order to call a whole group of people bitches is the mature caring thing to do.

a bitchy website

ok, so the mile for maude , blanket for maude, soapbix's xmas appeal, the tiding over fund for the lady who has lost her husband, the support for peter & misdee, for Martianbishop and her DH, when Yorkiegirl lost her DH, onlyjoking and her DH, the mumsnetter who doulaed for anotehr she had not even met before, the support for those suffering bereavement, miscarriage, financial problems

that is also a part of a MN, a huge part, the odd bitchy comment or nasty thread is totally outshined by all the good stuff

adamadamum, i find that if i avoid the threads in which people are getting...over-passionate...i avoid most of that.
Is it something specific that has ticked you off?
I think nearly everyone (barring Mother Theresa, except that she's dead, and maybe she could be a mean mutha when she wanted ) can be a bitch if it's about something they care about. Aren't you?

I didnt start this thread btw

I always wonder why people feel the need to 'post before they go'. If the site annoyed me that much, I just wouldn't bother !
Yes MN is sometimes bitchy, but sometimes it's funny, sometimes it's sad, sometimes it's sensible, sometimes it's educational, sometimes it's interesting, sometimes it's trivial, sometimes it's controversial, sometimes it's supportive.....shall I go on ??

Yes it is bitchy which is why lots of us like it because it challenges but it is all the things that lulu said too.

The thing is that flouncing is a waste of time because there is no way on this earth that you haven't logged on to see what reaction this thread got. And whilst you are there you will check out whatever other sections or threads that you are interested in. and then in a few days you will just have a quick look and then you will read an opinion that you strongly disagree with and you will really want to post. And then you will have to re-register with a new name. So you really shouldn't have bothered with this thread.
You could of course just come back with your original name as no one here is really going to remember you and your opinions tbh.

They do it (i know, because i left and came back, after suffering extreme headaches after the smacking thread!) to make a point, and so they can look back in a few days to see if anyone answered, or anyone missed them.

Yawn.
I don't believe I have ever been particularly bitchy on this site.
I don't think anyone has ever been bitchy to me either.
I have a laugh on here and have had good advice and made friends.
Sorry you couldn't hack it.
Bye!

(sorry, was that a bit bitchy...?)

I will never understand the need to announce you're leaving....if it's not your bag anymore (or never really has been) slip away and think poke your MN.

In the scheme of things it really isn't worth getting wound up about.
