We had a pinanta when camping with about 10 little kids and lots of wine

We enjoyed it innocently, not realising that there was a reason that we shouldn't

Heathcliffscathy · 03/09/2007 20:15

pointydog · 03/09/2007 20:18

I don;t understand how anyone could have missed the pinata explosion of the last five years.

Slubberdegullion · 03/09/2007 20:19

LOL @ pinatas filled with lentils and pens.

I once went on church camp where we had a pinata. Inside was a picture book of the story of Noah. I think there was meant to be a hidden meaning there. Was lost on me, no f'ing sweeties, enought to make a child an apostate I tell you.

tissy · 03/09/2007 20:19

I lurve parma violets !

fillyjonk · 03/09/2007 20:22

THANK you harpsi

But can you not fill it with smooth sticks and carob bars?

TnOgu · 03/09/2007 20:22

Oh yes, yum.

I love Refreshers too.

fillyjonk · 03/09/2007 20:26

i was puzzled, you see, as I thought pinantas were pretty lentilly

I mean, there is the effort involved in stuffing the pinata etc. Those "what shall I put in the pinata" threads started by people who plan birthday parties using lists. That has always out me off.

MyTwopenceworth · 03/09/2007 20:31

Well, I'm not a miserable killjoy.

Am I?

[paranoid] and [insecure about parenting skills]

[doesn't care really]

And the Most Fake Emoticons In A Single Post award goes to.................

Thank you very much. It's an honour [proud]

Beetroot · 03/09/2007 20:37

lol at cods thread

MegaLegs · 03/09/2007 20:39

I taught DS1 to make me a G&T last week, he makes it perfectly, with ice and a slice. he calls it Gin Toxic though.

Anyhoo, back to the pinatas - I made one once, used PVA glue, the fucker would not break, in the end we knocked it down and stampted on it, some Haribos got stuck to some shoes.

MegaLegs · 03/09/2007 20:40

OO - I used a real swear then, usually I fark or blardy - soz has been an emotional evening.

MilaMae · 03/09/2007 20:40

Errrr seemed to have touched a raw nerve.

Lets just say it's been a long 6 weeks(3 under 4)so a little jaded and new to the party thing. Dts have just discovered weaponry (in a big way)so thought I ought to do a bit of research. Clearly the pinata has a big fan base.

Will give it some more thought.

DrNortherner · 03/09/2007 20:41

CUNT CUNT CUNT

FlameBatfink · 03/09/2007 20:41

I'd be happy if pinatas were a non-horse/donkey shape - I think the fear of being kicked by them had made me nervous of even whacking paper ones with big sticks.

Gimme a fish shape or something and I'm all for it

DrNortherner · 03/09/2007 20:43

This thread isboring the tits off me now. I'm off to talk about under cabinet lighting instead.

Whoop ee doo.................

SoupDragon · 03/09/2007 20:52

Would a parenting guru shaped pinata be popular amongst MNers?

FlameBatfink · 03/09/2007 20:54

Oooooooooooh I like!

DrNortherner · 03/09/2007 20:54

Can I get a Natasha Kapklinski pinata?

filthymindedvixen · 03/09/2007 20:55

Snigger
I want a Nigella one right now.

DrNortherner · 03/09/2007 20:56

Hey FMV how are you?

SoupDragon · 03/09/2007 20:57
harpsichordcarrier · 03/09/2007 21:02

yes filly you could but your children would be shunned in the playground and called Carob Pants and would never talk to you again.
