pictures are wicked dot. Good luck tomorrow.

Have figured out the more food I can pump into dd during the day the better she is at night, yesterday she didn't eat a lot and she woke 4-5 times when the night before she had eaten more and only woke once.
Ah in for a bad one then aren't I - it is too hot for lots of food.

I'm wondering about weaning now - started a thread here .

Dot - DS2 is a very handsome little lad. Aren't we all clever to produce such beautiful babies...

Yorkiegirl - hope dd1 gets better soon. I sympathise; we tend to be permanently ill in this house. Baby ds has already had (and only 20 weeks):

*an infected finger needing topical antibiotics
*bacterial conjuctivitis - needing antibiotics

  • an upper respiratory tract infection and ear infection
  • 2 sick 'bugs'

and dd contracted a sick bug last week which i secumbed to yesterday taking to my bed.

It really grinds you down doesn't it!! I think we are due a spell of good health soon if there is any justice.

How is dd1 doing now - any better?

I want to complain that everyone's baby has hair except mine Although mine is otherwise devastatingly gorgeous& completely charming. And its well known that baldness is a sign of an extremely high IQ

....sadly he can't tell the time yet though and keeps waking at 5am...sigh...

OOPs forget to say, Yorkiegirl and HMC - hope your kids get better soon. Sounds very tiring and frustrating

hewlettsdaughter · 06/09/2004 09:16

Kristina - lol re the hair!

MrsDoolittle · 06/09/2004 10:11

Lovely pictures dot. It's nice to beable to put a face to your posts.
I have had a go at doing this myself. Don't know if it's work but we'll give it a go anyway!
My beautiful baby girl

MrsDoolittle · 06/09/2004 10:13

Kristina, she doesn't have much hair either! I think it makes her look younger than she is - 21 weeks!

mrs D is this you first morning back at work? Celebrated by multiple mumsnet postings!? how is it going?

lovely photos. will send a recent one of mine to yorkiegirl for a collective album - one that shows off dd3's hairstyle specially for KristinaM

Tickle - hi! I also have 3 small children, and currently feel it is too many!

HMC - my 2yo dd2 is definately harder work and more demanding than my baby dd3.

Lowryn · 06/09/2004 12:08

Ahh, lovely babies!
I feel happier about posting Alexander's website if you are happy to share your little one's piccies.
have a sneaky peak at Alex

MrsDoolittle · 06/09/2004 12:20

I'm skiving at home.
I don't see the students til tomorrow, so I am at home 'preparing'!
I'll pick dd up a bit later when I have done the hoovering and tidying up that I have been threatening to do all morning. I mowed the lawn on Saturday so all weekend we have been bringing grass into the house on our feet!
I have just been laughing to myself, it's a beautiful day and there is a cacaphony of lawnmowers going. One particularly loud one was outside my window, until there was this very lound bang and clatter and suddenly ...... silence! For a while, anyway. Aren't I wicked?

hewlettsdaughter · 06/09/2004 12:21

Had a look at the pics Lowryn, they are lovely (loved some of your captions too - fishtank, elvis etc!)
Now I really must get off mumsnet and go and do something useful (dd is asleep and ds is at school - don't know what to do with myself now that he isn't here!)

hewlettsdaughter · 06/09/2004 12:44

Just popping in to say I've sent you an email via CAT, Yorkiegirl.

MrsDoolittle · 06/09/2004 12:52

HD, I have a Johnson's weaning book. Dh bought it at the weekend. Do you want a squiz?
I doubt it will tell you anything you don't already know though
Now I MUST do some work!!!

Fennel · 06/09/2004 13:21

Mrs D - what is your job? I told mine!

I am paralysed at the mountain of work I should be doing, had to come on mumsnet to avoid panicking about the work.

hewlettsdaughter · 06/09/2004 13:37

Thanks for offer, MrsD. I have an Annabel Karmel book from before, so that will probably be good enough if I need to refer. Let me know if your book is particularly useful though!

Metrobaby · 06/09/2004 13:52

Hi there just popping in quickly to say hello! Welcome tickle to our thread.

I've managed to have a look at the lovely babies though. They are so all so gorgeous. Dot - your ds1 looks like a real cheeky monkey I've really enjoyed looking at the photos. Here's some pics of ds and dd here . The password is mumsnet. The ones of ds were taken some time ago however.

HMC and YG - hope your babies get better v soon. Its horrible when they get colds.

Fennel, Dot1 and MrsD - you're back at work. Hope it goes well for you dot on your first day. How are you finding work Fennel?

dot1 · 06/09/2004 13:54

Mrs D- gorgeous photos!!

Well, here I am, and after a lot of tears work's not too bad... Missing everyone at home obviously, and keep watching the clock wondering whether the 11.30am bottle's gone OK, and 12pm lunch time, but have only rung home twice so far!

ds1 reduced me to tears this morning, asking me to get back into bed - he couldn't understand why I was up and dressed at 7am! My work shoes have also brought tears to my eyes after slouching around in trainers for 6 months..!
