Ok, the thread's too long for me to something similar has been covered, but you seem quite impressed with it, so.......

DS2+3, 10 and 8, can sometimes be a pita at bedtime. (Sometimes aided and abetted by DS1).

They're loud and boisterous lads, and tbh most of the time they're only sitting talking, but they're soooo loud.

The problem is DH sometimes has vvv early starts and often goes to bed before them, and then is kept awake by their nattering.

What should we be saying to them to get them to show some consideration, be quieter, and ultimately go to blardy sleep?

has all gone a bit wrong really. Real people turned up and ASKED QUESTIONS and I had to give them answers and then Boco turned up with all this mad talk about pretending to be a cyberman and things, and now they're all in the office, and there's this business about sick and it might go on Dogsby's desk and she'll KILL ME.

I want to go now. Can't we just put the anserphone on?

Boco · 30/05/2007 20:04

DT my children are learning valuable lessons about resilience. It's Good For Them. They rarely have tantrums in public since the bodypopping started.

ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:04

See Franny? Boco cant be stopped. She's a ZEALOT.

I thought your advice to Mellowma was Very Good Indeed, 100x. Honest.

Boco have you been sniffing the Tippex thinners again? I told you to keep it in the locked stationery cupboard, 100x

Boco · 30/05/2007 20:08

100 you hired me to recruit people - i did my job, pulled in the punters - and where were you!?

I had to tell them something - and i haven't read the book. I just told them what i know, spoke from my heart, and you know what? I think they'll appreciate that, maybe there will be some subdued children and some empowered parents by tomorrow. Who know!

ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:08

Help me get them out. Am shutting up office for a bit. Is exhausting this job. Cod thoroughly deserves her holiday imo.

foxinsocks · 30/05/2007 20:09

aaah here you are ahundred!

Cybermen are quite scary though aren't they. Was it that episode where they marched around 'upgrading' people that freaked her out?

This week's Dr Who mag has an Ood mask and a Dalek poster. Put poster on wall, insist Dalek's rule and can easily outdo a silly old cyberman and hope she falls for it.

LordVenger · 30/05/2007 20:12

puzzled Everyone's done a bit of sick in their mouth, haven't they? And if you do much sick in your mouth, it kind of gets forced up your nose, and then you can do sick in your mouth and nose at the same time. It takes about half a pint of sick. proudly I haven't done that for a while, though.

ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:14

LordV - I think we may need to discuss this privately elsewhere. No I have never done a bit of sick in my mouth, my nose or anywhere else. I don't really understand what you're talking about.

Fox - welcome. we're having an after office hours drink.

Boco · 30/05/2007 20:15

That is a sight more terrifying than any cyberman. Seeing your mother sick out of her nose.

If you're prone to that kind of thing, you need to make a cyberman mask with a little drip tray that can be easily emptied.

foxinsocks · 30/05/2007 20:16
ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:16

LOL @ tray.

Is possible LordV that your dd isn't frightened of cybermen at all but of this half pint of sick of which you boast?

foxinsocks · 30/05/2007 20:17

either that or the playing of Tiffany tracks. I think that might make me scream.

DimpledThighs · 30/05/2007 20:18

lol LordVenger

Boco - you're fired! (a la Alan Sugar)

ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:18

Am still thinking about this problem though, from an HTT point of view. Perhaps you need to Encourage Her Autonomy? Equip Her For Battle?
Is better in the long run I think, than messing about in tin foil with trays at the ready for your unfortunate problem.

ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:19

Ahem, DT I do the hiring and firing around here.

Boco · 30/05/2007 20:19

I'm beginning to agree with you on this one 100. Problem definitely lies with the mother's unusual vomiting habits.

(use the technique on her 100, talk so she'll listen, when she says stuff, say m'kay uhuh etc. Maybe start with that thing about
'wouldnt' it be lovely if we could all sick through our nose, what fun we'd have etc...')

LordVenger · 30/05/2007 20:19

with increasing worriedness being sick in your mouth - it's like being sick in your handbag, but when you've lost your handbag. You keep the sick in.

LordVenger · 30/05/2007 20:21

It's the posh thing to do. It's what Sophie Ellis Bextor would do. If she was singing Groovejet, and then some sick came, she wouldn't do it down her dress - she'd keep it in her mouth. LIke a lady.

ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:22

Aha, uhum LordV. Your handbag! Of course! Aha. Quite normal I'm sure.

Boco · 30/05/2007 20:22

Dimpled don't try and fire me! My work today has been GroundBreaking. Mellowma has made some real progress - did you see her dance?

You have no authority here.

ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:24

lol. No was me Boco with the mellowma. She's out there now, talking to her ds about boring bushes. Is inspriational.

FrannyandZooey · 30/05/2007 20:26

Oh I have remembered what I came in to tell you, 100x. Just had a fax from cod. She wondered if everything was under control?

has someone done a bit of sick in here?

Boco · 30/05/2007 20:27

I think you'll find she's bodypopping 100, and i think by tomorrow you will be seeing Results. Ok, so to begin with she'll keep it within the home to avoid being shunned by her new neighbourhood, but in time, her confidence will grow.

In our next lesson - rapping.

ahundredtimes · 30/05/2007 20:28

NO FRANNY. Is okay, because she keeps it in her nose and when that is full, in her handbag. So Cod's desk etc quite safe. Is most impressive lady really, with this sick thing.
