Slightly trivial but do you put a clean babygro and vest on your baby each night...

even if they are clean ? My ds of 6 months has a bath each night. If he hasn't wee'd or worse I put him in them again the next night ....same with his day clothes (only change if he's spilt food or dribbled/sicked down them).....
Is this awful? No doubt as he starts crawling, eating more himself then I'll need to wash his day clothes more often.
My mum is obsessed with washing his clothes all the time.....
What do others think?

if there still clean why bother making more washing?

Its sensible (imo) not awful.

WOuld you wear your trousers 2 days in a row if they were still unmarked? I would and babies don't sweat like adults do.

Yes. Because he is 9 months old and permenently filthy, despite a daily bath.

I'm with everyone else, leave them till they wee, puke, poo or spill food all down them.

um yes I did ... but I wouldn't worry about changing them the next morning ..so they got a full 24 hours out of it (unless I wanted them in a an outfit)

and they still get clean pyjamas every night (2.8 and 5.11) .. perhaps that's a bit ott

Mine always had clean ones on. Still do and the eldest is 6.

If the clothes are still clean, yes put them back on.

DS only manages a day (if that) in one outfit but, now he's older, he can wear pyjamas for 2 or 3 nights. Thank goodness.

clean vest every day and night, sleepsuits worn two or three times. day wear washed after every wear, no way it'd be clean, doing blw with an 8 month old.

Yes. Because I am a lazy slattern and my floors are all so filthly that pristine clean new pj's are bogging after 5 minutes of DD crawling on them

I am afraid my DS (6 months) has a clean outfit everyday and a clean babygro every night - having read these other replies, think I might be obsessive!!

I wouldn't wash them unless they aren't clean. Although with both my ds's I never had the luxury of deciding on this. I was happy if they got through one day in the same clothes...

I'm with Ceebee my dd2 (aged 3 weeks) has clean vest and babygro every night although at the mo only has bath every other night, she also has clean clothes/outfit put on every morning.
DD1 (aged 2.5) has her pjs on for 2 nights at a time but has clean vest every night and 90% of the time all of her clothes she has worn that day go in the wash every night mainly because shes spilt something, had a toilet accident or just generally manages to make every item of clothing dirty by bathtime.

No, I did it and still do.
DD is 15 months.

Vests and Pjs get 2 days wear and clothes (norm trousers) get 2 days wear. If they are soiled then fine but if still clean why wash again!

I change my baby's vests every day, but babygros stay on until they are dirty.

Snort! Today I put BabyDragon to bed in a vest that has lamb risotto on the front because I couldn't be ar$ed to get a clean one. She can have a clean one tomorrow, it won't kill her

at this age they all have the same clothes on for day and night, don't bother changing them. And they don't have a bath every day either, maybe twice a week...
still feel I have too many clothes to wash

nope- only own 3 baby grows which I use as PJs for the boy. They go in the wash when they have too much weetabix or calpol or wee etc on them. vest- he gets a clean one in teh morning and wears it for 24 hrs unless its soaking wet or filthy.
Its greener not to wash clothes unnesserialy and saves money and time too.
Day clothes- socks, trews and T-shirt all tend to be mucky by end of the day as hes an active mobile lad, jumpers may be worn a few days tho.
before he was mobile things might be worn 2 days if not sicked or dribled badly.
