All those who snigger at the:

checkout woman said why not give her a biscuit
shocked at lunchbox contents
eating at McDonalds is on a par with registering them in an al queda training camp
HV suggested a bottle (gasp)
Coke is the work of the devil

full fat coke here yum Smile

shazronnie · 20/06/2006 17:51

I once saw a baby with coke in a baby bottle. And I promised myself I would not be that un pc!

Everything else - pretty much ok!

Piffle · 20/06/2006 17:52

I'll not condemn you for drinking coke.
When your body protests in various guises in 5 years time, you'll know enough then.

what for drinking coke! does that count for all alcohol too?

spursmum · 20/06/2006 17:55

Am I a bad mother because my ds doesn't sing any nursery rhymes but can sing most of 'Vindaloo'?
And prefers punk/rock/funk/metal to cheesy pop?

wannaBe1974 · 20/06/2006 17:55

signing in, but coke is definitely the work of the devil. And I speak as someone who had to give it up because I was having palpitations. Do still drink it sometimes though but my ds will never have it. And cafeen free diet coke must be gross, would rather go without.

Piffle · 20/06/2006 17:56

spurs you are to be commended Grin
alcohol is fine it preserves the organs...

foxinsocks · 20/06/2006 17:58

flat coke is great for a nauseous stomach or after you've been ill (with a tummy bug)

nzshar · 20/06/2006 17:58

ohhhh please I have diet caffeine free coke only because if I have caffeine after 6pm i cant sleep and i have to have something with my vodka :o

southeastastra · 20/06/2006 17:58

imo alcohol is more ageing that blinkin coke, which organ does it preserve, the liver??

SparklyGothKat · 20/06/2006 18:00

My kids have eaten homemade pizza tonight, and a slice of chocolate birthday cake. They are allowed macdonalds once in a while, and they sometimes eat sweets!!

spursmum · 20/06/2006 18:01

Cheers Piffle I am going to hell!!
Who cares? At least I'll be warm!!Grin

Piffle · 20/06/2006 18:03

exactly southeastastra In your opinion
My dp worked at the coke factory upgrading their software once
Nuff said
He also worked at Kiplings - softare upgrade
We never ever eat Kiplings
Nuff said
He also worked at Felix petfood - software upgrade
He would ingest that over the two previous items.
Nuff said Grin

southeastastra · 20/06/2006 18:07

good for him

PanicPants · 20/06/2006 18:07

Count me in - although I do try to give healthy food only to ds. But sometimes I think I'm giving him healthy food but it turns out I was wrong - again.

He loves marmite but someone on here told me not to give it to him as the salts too high Sad

moondog · 20/06/2006 18:09

Bollocks
Nowt wrong with Marmite.

I'd love to know more Piff....

PanicPants · 20/06/2006 18:11

AND I let ds (10months) have an ice-cream at the weekend Shock

JoolsToo · 20/06/2006 18:12

Blu - you don't wash mushrooms, you just wipe them

PanicPants · 20/06/2006 18:13

Moondaog - exactly, he's currently sat at my feet smearing the stuff onto the floor as he's not in his highchair (very bad mother icon) as I wanted to come on pc :o

Whats the mushroom v biscuit thread all about then?

Dp has coke, I do sometimes but will not let ds have any.

foxinsocks · 20/06/2006 18:13

everything in moderation (chant to yourself)

loads of things have high salt - lots of breads and so called healthy cereals have high salt contents. Honestly, if he was eating jars of marmite a day it would be one thing but the odd bit of toast and marmite here and there.....

southeastastra · 20/06/2006 18:14

my ds (12) has never eaten any sweets in his life, he likes chocolate occasionally and apart from that eats really heathily, by choice. the only thing he really loves is coca cola and im not going to deny him that one thing!!

wannaBe1974 · 20/06/2006 18:22

kiplings? piffle do share? lol

southeastastra · 20/06/2006 18:23
