OFF we had a shocking 26 weeks !

Offcolour · 14/06/2013 15:06

Lord I'm tired and we've still got the nightmare that is dd's swimming to go. I don't think I've got time for a coffee, could I just eat instant coffee to get the same effect? Grin.

Mummy2NJ · 14/06/2013 23:01

Lol @ the naked garden incident!!

Wow what have you been doing to loose weight? And most of all where are you getting the energy and motivation? Congratulations on the weight lose hope you reach your goal xx

Earlier today I put on some pre pregnancy stretch trousers and at a squeez I was able to fit into them. I even managed to zip up and do the button with ease....... Then I turned to look at myself in the mirror, I've never looked and felt so fricking ridiculous I'm my entire LIFE!!!
I looked like an overloaded 99 icecream cone.
It looked as though I had wrapped a load of sausages around my waist and stomache LOL

IT FELT GOOD FOR A SECOND KNOWING I COULD FIT INTO THOSE TROUSERS BUT AFTER SEEING MYSELF IN THE MIRROW!!!! That was a real downer lol!

Good luck tonight ladies!!
Thankfully it's the weekend. Hopefully we all have a some help from hubbies and partners xxxx

ds2 slept 7-5 without waking! Shock Grin

Dh sleeping in the room with him is obviously the way forward. ha!

Offcolour · 15/06/2013 16:41

Hallelujah crazy! Am super jealous! Ds slept better last night but his sleep is still pretty crap.

crazypaving · 15/06/2013 20:34

hallelujah indeed. of course, now I'll be disappointed when he doesn't repeat it tonight!

hang in there, offcolour, you'll get there. bastard wonder weeks.

crazypaving · 16/06/2013 10:31

shocker of a night! I'm thinking of disowning ds2.

happy fathers' day. hmph.

Offcolour · 16/06/2013 11:44

Oh lord crazy! These babies, eh? Totally unpredictable.

We were out looking for new glasses for dh yest in this fancy designery shop. They had toys in the corner and dd was happily playing when she suddenly announced "I done a poo in my big girl pants" Blush. Had to leave the shop ASAP before we stank it out. The snooty woman didn't even crack a smile. May have saved us £££s because dh has found the same specs online for much less.

Ds was pretty good for him last night. Hoping for an ok week and that the horrors of wonder bastard 26 are behind us.

Got out for a run last night and kept going and didn't stop Smile. Aiming to get up to a regular 5k soon.

crazypaving · 17/06/2013 08:18

it gets worse. up every twenty sodding minutes last night.

I'm hitting eBay later, he'll fetch a decent price if I don't mention the sleep, right?!

offcolour good work with the running! if I ever manage to persuade my rickety pelvis and shoddy pelvic floor to run again I might just run away! I do miss running though, I love it and haven't been since the end of 2009. I was really fit and it was so destressing, peaceful and liberating. I wonder if my pelvis will ever be pain-free enough to run again?

Offcolour · 17/06/2013 09:01

Oh dear crazy. I was feeling bad coz ds was up at 1,2, 3 til 4. Is your ds teething or is it another wonder bastard?

I hadn't run since 2009 either (when I got pregnant with dd). I'm really crap at it but I enjoy it. I had done a few short runs last year but had only just started back when I got pregnant with ds.

eversomuch · 17/06/2013 11:30

Just a quick drive-by to offer support to everyone suffering through disrupted nights. It's such torture when you're in the thick of it. It's been about a month now of DS (7m) waking between 4:30 and 5:30 am, and often not going back down. At least he's mostly in by 7pm now and usually sleeps through until that 4:30am horror time. He is teething though, so we've had several nights where he wakes up a lot. And even when he does make it from 7pm-4:30am, he makes a lot of noise while he sleeps, so I tend to wake up anyway ...

He's also biting now during feeds and I'm feeling mangled. He seems to have very nicely chosen the side on which I've been dealing with recurrent mastitis (finally cleared, I think), so I'm quite sore. :(

DD (27m) slept until after 7am the other day, which gave me hope that in a few months, we might have both of them sleeping through. Fingers crossed. For all of us!

Otherwise, DS is now rolling everywhere and starting to look like he's trying to crawl.

DD has gone on the potty a few times but I haven't started full-on potty training yet. I'm just so tired. I think I'll leave it until after our holiday next month.

Well done to everyone managing to get some exercise! I'm desperate but just can't fit it in right now. Feeling really unhappy with my body at the moment. Have got about 3-4kg to lose, but still require chocolate on a daily basis to make it through the days.

In a surprising development, however, DH and I seem to be getting a sex life back. Thought that might never happen!

crazypaving · 17/06/2013 20:00

ds2 has a cold - that's why his sleep is so crap. it's just a cold, child, pull yourself together!

good to see you, ever.

satsumagirl · 17/06/2013 20:06

Oh god. I am a horrible mummy. Did first bedtime on my own in the new house and my toddler deliberately spilt his milk everywhere- he keeps doing it every night! Was really cross and ended up shouting 'I don't have fvcking time for this. ' Feel so guilty Hmm

Mummy2NJ · 17/06/2013 22:54

@Sats, we all have moment when the pressure gets too much we explode and say something that make us feel guilty. It doesn't mean we are a bad parents. Don't beat yourself up about it. .

It's been hellish here. I am ill with symptoms I can only describe as coming down with a cold/fever. I can hardly stand for too long feeling dizzy, lightheaded, body aching all over and unable to carry my baby up the stairs. DH stayed home to help with the kids today. It didn't help that DS2 was up 8 TIMES!!! Last night. I really hope tonight things improve slightly and that I feel better tomorrow.

DH was amazed. he spent the day as me, looking after the boys, taking then to playgroup, preparing meals feeding bathing etc. He was overwhelmed and said he didn't think he would cope if he was to be the one doing this all the time. So I guess it's fair to say the one who stays at home with the kids is the one with the harder job.

crazypaving · 18/06/2013 08:18

satsumagirl I've been there. toddler behaviour is so so challenging, and add in sleep deprivation and it's a recipe for disaster. be kind to yourself.

crazypaving · 18/06/2013 08:26

m2nj get better soon. three cheers for supportive and sympathetic other halves?

Offcolour · 18/06/2013 10:06

Hello everyone!

@crazy, have you tried carvol plug ins for colds overnight? Really helped with dd, luckily ds doesn't seem to have been too bothered yet with colds touch wood. It keeps their airways open and help prevent sore throat in the night.

@sats we've all done it, especially when the pressure's on like a solo bed time. Today's a new day Smile

@ waves at ever! Seems like no-one's getting much sleep!

@m2nj sorry you're poorly! We are so lucky to have supportive partners. Enjoy the rest if you can and get well soon.

We're alright, poor ds is either teething or constipated or both, have just started weaning and no poos since. I've been giving him prune juice, diluted orange, pears etc but nothing so far! He's getting quite distressed at point but don't know if it's teeth or poo related. He's started sleeping till 8 though and dh is taking dd so I'm not as zombied as I could be. He slept a bit better last night although he screamed from 1030-11.

Offcolour · 18/06/2013 11:13

Bollocks, have messed up my weight calculations! I still need to lose 8lbs to get out of "obese" bmi range, but then need to lose another 2 stone to be "normal" weight! Damn, I thought I just needed to lose 1 stone after getting out of "obese". That means I need to lost 2 stone 8lbs to be in the normal range! Crap. Oh well. Better go for a run tonight.

debbie1412 · 18/06/2013 17:31

OFF I've just got myself down to bmi 25.2 still in the over weight box but out of the obese. Also got another 21lb to lose its soul destroying !

Offcolour · 18/06/2013 18:11

That's brilliant Debbie!

I've been in obese for years so it will be a big achievement to get into over weight but I had thought I was a bit closer to "normal". Oh well, I'll just keep plugging away. It's actually been easier to lose the first 15lbs than I thought, so maybe the rest will be ok as well (wishful thinking)....

Mummy2NJ · 18/06/2013 19:45

@off and Debbie
How are guys managing to loose weight? I don't know what to do to motivate myself.

Feeling much better today thankfully!!

Offcolour · 19/06/2013 09:24

Glad you're feeling better m2nj. My motivation started when I lost 5 lbs from a d&v bug! And I want to be healthy for the kids and set a good example. I'm cutting out pretty much all "bad" food, editing portion size, snacking on carrots, lots of chicken and cottage cheese!

Terrible night last night, no idea what's going on with ds. Dh took the kids for a couple of hours this morn and has gone to work late.

crazypaving · 19/06/2013 12:43

I'm back in the land of the living!! Sunday night was horrific, up 3x every hour. Monday night better but still up 6-8 times or so. last night dh went in with him again and he only woke once.

anyone else see a pattern emerging here?

the last two days I've been ready to slit my wrists. today I feel vaguely human again. both ds's being pretty bloody high maintenance though, and our neighbours are apparently doing renovations with no warning, which is making naps impossible.

I'm gaining weight like nobody's business cos I eat when I'm miserable and stressed. I'm really annoyed because I'd lost 1.5 stone between January and March Sad I really need to sort myself out again.

glad m2nj is feeling better, and good luck everyone else with the weight loss!
