Knickers in bed

I'm a lone (male) parent to DD of 3.6. She's been out of nappies at night for about a good month or so now, and a lady of my acquaintance told me she should be wearing knickers at night.

So. Should DD wear knickers in bed along with her pyjamas?

Personally, I can't see any point in it as it's just another thing for her to remember to remove when she uses the potty in the night.

Are you suggesting that I should wash five sets of sheets by hand in cold water every day? As well as kitting the family out in extra night time pants??

It won't kill you.

My gran scrubbed the front step every day during the war.

Standards.

best friend with ocd - so no insult intended - and for her washing was not her thing.

Also a bit of grime doesn't hurt either!

In my skint days of no washing machine, I didn't change sheets every day, was twice a week, I remember horrible trips to the launderette with all the clothes in a suitcase.

Hated it.

I was only joking about the scrubbing of step Grin

Gotta go to bed - though it was a smashing punch up - night night all - no knickers for me!

candleshoe · 13/02/2011 23:39

scrubbers!

Sorry but have I read this right - there are real people who change their entire bedding EVERY DAY??

Or have I misread something?

I thought I wasn't doing badly changing every week or every two weeks.

We don't wear any clothes in bed either.

Seona1973 · 14/02/2011 12:06

if I do bedding the rest of the washing falls behind (hanging space, as I hate using the drier) so no way could I change it daily. Ours are probably done fortnightly

SameOldJollster · 14/02/2011 12:13

LOVE LOVE LOVE clean linen so much, that if I could be arsed and had the space for drying I would change more than the once a week I do now.

I can see why people change bed linen every day or as much as possible MUCH MORE than the thread I read recently where the vast majority of posters wash hand towels after every use, as in when cleaned hands are dried on them. That left me totally Shock. Still think about it .
