how long were you with your partner before you had your son or daughter and did your relationship last?

Hi ladies,

This is just a nosey thread really, just wondering how soon after you got with your partner did you fall preg with your son/daughter and if you are still together? I fell preg with my daughter about 6 months after i got with her dad. We're not together now but i wouldn't change my girl for the world :) xxxx

I started dating dh in 1987. We married in 89. Had ds1 nearly four years later in 93, then ds2 in 96 and dd in 2002.

Very very happy.

Had DS 9 years after we started going out.
Been together 16 years now.

We moved in together end of March 1993 and had our DD1 in June 1993.
We had been in a relationship for just over a year when I got pregnant. We carried on living with friends until we saved up enough for a deposit on a flat.

Had another DD in May 1997 and got married in Oct 1997.

Still together and although we've had our ups and downs (redundancy,a few house moves etc) we are v happily married and I wouldn't change a thing Smile

Started going out in April 1990, got married December 1994. Children born Feb 2000, Feb 2002, Nov 2003.

So had been together almost 10 years when our first child was born and are still ridiculously in love having been together almost 21 years and married for 16.

Moved in together after 4 mths, married by 6mths, took pregnancy test the week after we got back off honeymoon. Our 5 yr anniversary is in August. And he was only meant to be an office fling. Grin

Dated DH for 8yrs before marrying in June 2007. DD1 was born July 08. We had already decided we would try for a family once we were married.

3.5 yrs of being happily married and we have a 2.5yr old and a 9mth old.
What a busy 3.5 yrs they have been! :)

Dated sounds wrong IYKWIM.

We moved in together after 9mths and moved 50 miles away from anyone we knew! Everyone said we were mad but we knew it would either make us or break us. That was about 12 yrs ago! Grin
