how long were you with your partner before you had your son or daughter and did your relationship last?

Hi ladies,

This is just a nosey thread really, just wondering how soon after you got with your partner did you fall preg with your son/daughter and if you are still together? I fell preg with my daughter about 6 months after i got with her dad. We're not together now but i wouldn't change my girl for the world :) xxxx

Pregnant after 9 months and no. He was a controlling arsehole.

His second child was conceived less than a week into his current relationship - planned apparently Confused - though that might be bullshit. They're still together but baby's only 6 weeks old!

Together 15 years before ds1.

Still together 4 years on.

We were together for nearly 10 years before we had our first child and are still together 10 years on.

Still together TTC number 3, will be 27 when they are born probably!

We dated for 3 months before we got married and DD1 came along a year later.

That was 20 years ago and we are still very much in love,(Although DH's large bank balance and presentation of a rather vulgar 2 carat diamond engagement ring clinched the deal).

The only drawback, as far as I can see, is that I often have to enthuse with DH about the Elizabeth 2nd Bridge - however, after a couple of glasses of good quality cabernet sauvignon I don't find this a problem. Grin

5 years before DS(1) got married when he was 10 months. Had 2nd DS last year and will be 3rd wedding anniversary this month. We are hanging on in there just but are both different people from when we met and seem to be constantly re-establishing ourselves/our relationship.

Met in 1989, had son in 1996.

Divorced in 2010.

I waited til my son was old enough to cope, and have made the right decision, hes very well adjusted re the split.

17 Years on we were a couple who rarley argued for 13 years then the kids arrived and there was alot of AngryConfusedAngry[WineWinklets have another then AngryConfusedAngryWineall forgiven and back to Grin.

I truly believe that kids will test any relationship and building a relationship first helps.

I can see alot of people had kids quickly and it works too but it is the ultimate test.

Met OH in December 1978, married 1981, DD born in 2000 - nearly 22 years in total!
We are still very much together and will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this year.

Knew each other 6mths prior to starting a relationship (through work)

Went out with each other 3mths before falling pregnant.

Split up 6wks later.

Haven't seen him again

Wouldn't change the fact I have ds for the world:)

Starting dating in '96, married in '98, DS1 in 2004 and DS2 2010, very much still together. We get on very well. Wouldn't change anything I have done over the years, it has all worked out brilliantly.

Expecting ds2 any day this year is our 8th together.

My mum and dad were married 6 weeks after meeting and had my sister the following year, still together 35 of years later.

Been together since December 2002, just after I turned 16. Had DD when I was 20 (together 3.something years when she was conceived) - would've been earlier but I wanted to finish A levels. Got married in 2008, DS born 10 months later :o

Still very much together, and considering DC3...
