I have just finished POA and started GOF and have a few questions if anyone knows the answers!

1. Why did Sirius go into the dormitories with a knife? He was enevr after Harry or anyone else, so why go in there with a knife?

1. This is a question re. the time turner!

Now I know it allows you to go back in time, bbut something has been confusing me abd maybe I am simply over thinking it but if anyone has an answer, would be fab

Okay, so my question is, before Harry had gone back in time with Hermione to save Sirius and Buckbeak, how did he see himself conjour the patronus from across the lake if he hadn't gone back in time yet?

Also, I have a question have general use of the time turner. E.g. Hermione would go to a class with Harry and Ron, and also, at some point, she would use the time turner to sit an acient runes class or something at the same time. So was there two Hermione's around the castle? How did they become one Hermione again? As if she finished a lesson at 11am, surely she was finishing both at 11am? Help please!!

Hi Lovingtherain! Sirius goes into the dorms with a knife as he is after Scabbers the rat, who sleeps with Ron, hence the reason he was standing over Ron's bed!

Can't help with the time turner questions, sorry! Too scientific for me!

I love all the time turner stuff in POA. Whenever I start trying to work out the logic of it all, it all starts going round in circles in my head though, so I can't explain it at all. That's what I love about it though

You'll find out towards the end of the book. I can tell you if you like - but it might spoil the story if you've forgotten who it was.

Also regarding the knife in the Dorm, wasnt sirius' knife a "special" one that could unlock doors or something similar, maybe he used it to get through locked doors (sorry brain is still on hols). Sirius gave it to Harry later on.

oo yes please do tell me greensnail! I was confusing myself by thinking it was Barty Crouch jr, but then i couldn't remember whether he had already taken on the guise of Mad eye moody!

yes, it is Barty Crouch jr. He is being looked after by Winky. Doesn't "become" Mad eye moody until night before they go back to school.

Sirius' knife doesn't get him into the dorm - the Fat Lady lets him in as he has the password. Neville had written them all down on a piece of paper.
