OP posts:
oggsfrog · 25/05/2009 21:26

Hellloooo I'm back.

Great weekend. Lots to drink and eat, good music and a sun-burned face.

Twilight spoof

oggsfrog · 26/05/2009 07:04

Obviously too much to drink and eat

oggsfrog · 26/05/2009 07:06

Obviously I can't remember how to do bold rather than crossed out

oggsfrog · 26/05/2009 07:07

Obviously I need new glasses as I'm doubling up on the 's required to successfully do bold...

Berrie · 26/05/2009 08:09

Helloooo!
Glad you had a good do Oggs.
Didn't see you Lyra, I did look even though I hadn't seen your message about being in the park.

The baby was lovely but I tell you what, she did my broodiness good. Babies are so much hard work!

Berrie · 26/05/2009 18:52

No-one here today?

LyraSilvertongue · 26/05/2009 18:59

I'm here.
Boys have been difficult all day. I just took them into town for a Happy Meal so they're Happy now
Before that I finally cleaned out the pigsty car. I found mouldering apple cores, odd socks, bits of toys and all kinds of randomness lurking in there.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/05/2009 19:00

Now I'l having a chilled glass of pink bubbly. Stuff the diet.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/05/2009 20:32

Peace at last. The bratlings are in bed and I can sit down with more bubbly and read my book (The Cleft by Doris Lessing).
Every night they ask me to sing Everything's Alright (from Jesus Christ Superstar) to them before they go to sleep. I need a new song.

Berrie · 26/05/2009 20:34

Do you spit out the Judas part?

Berrie · 26/05/2009 20:39

My car is like that!

LyraSilvertongue · 26/05/2009 20:40

I skip the Judas and Jesus bits, just do the lovely Mary Magdelene bits.

LyraSilvertongue · 26/05/2009 20:42

It's actually quite a good bedtime song because it has the lines:
I want you to sleep well tonight,
Let the world turn without you tonight,
Close your eyes, close your eyes and relax think of nothing tonight.
DS2 goes all soppy when I sing to him

Berrie · 26/05/2009 21:03

Ahhhh....I sing Sandman,s coming from an Elvis sings for children cd I had as a child but DD has objected now...she,d rather have Finley the Fire engine which I don;
,t know the words to but dh once downloaded to sing to her. Yours is much better!

Sorry...too drunk to find apostrophe! Where the *is it?

LyraSilvertongue · 26/05/2009 21:06

Berrie · 26/05/2009 21:10

Berrie · 26/05/2009 21:10

Berrie · 26/05/2009 21:11

Ahhhhhh begins to dawn...ds pulled off a key which is on the mantlepiece...bet it/s that one!

LyraSilvertongue · 26/05/2009 21:30

Was it?

Berrie · 27/05/2009 08:24

I certainly didn;t get off my bottom last night to find out!

Still can;t be bothered now!

Rain rain rain today!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 27/05/2009 10:12

My car was the same Lyra. I had to clean it out on Monday (yeuch) as I've loaned it to DH now I have my shiny new company car.

Berrie, all DS wants me to sing at bedtime is "special delivery service...Pat's on his way" over and over and over. Followed by baa baa pink sheep, or whichever is his colour of choice that evening. To go off piste with musical theatre just wouldn't work.

How are all your heads?

Berrie · 27/05/2009 10:35

Fine Many pints of water and early to bed!

LyraSilvertongue · 27/05/2009 20:11

we've been talked about (again) on another thread
But not in a nasty Cod-style way.

Berrie · 27/05/2009 20:53

Yikes! I forget that other people might read this. You lot are always more circumspect than me, I just blab it all out!

LyraSilvertongue · 27/05/2009 20:56

It's easy to forget it's not a closed thread, anyone could be reading.
What are you up to tonight? I feel bloody awful - I've got swine flu a cold. I might head to bed with my book (which is getting duller as it goes on but I'm 3/4 through it now so may as well persevere).
