That's fluid loss for you Berrie Step away from the scales now.

Righty. Dd off school sick so am on looking after porrly child detail today.

The book..

Ithought it a bit odd right from the word go. The writing style seems different and I am finding it hard to 'hear' and 'see' the characters. It seems a bit choppy like the film.
Was it written before the film was done?
I'm undecided about where it's going with Leah.. gets together with Jacob? Dies in what way?
It's odd having Jacob write in the first person.
There seems to be subtle changes to the personalities and characteristics of the main characters.
I wasn't sure to start with whether they'd actually had sex as it's written in such an ambigous way.
Edward's character in particular seems different. I'm having rouble visualisingRP and keep going back to Johnny Depp/Edward Scissorhands.

I'm currently up tio the bit where Jacob has left the pack, assumed alpha status, Leah and Seth have joined him, and Jared is trying to persuade them to come back. Jacob is bare.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 28/04/2009 09:15

Right. What are you guys up to today?

Oggs, has it started getting much stranger now? It was around this stage I just wanted to slap Bella and give her a good talking to whilst giving Edward huge hugs.

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 09:22

Yes, she's morphed very quickly from not even wanting to get married yet feeling as if she'd do absolutely anything for Edward, to abandoning him and disregarding his feelings.

I'm presuming it's down to the 'hormones' kicking in to preserve the baby, but still, it's a huge leap to have made in a matter of days. Poor Edward.

Jacob is so cool. He's jumped in and helped Edward out so many times at risk to himself.
I got very at the point where there was the suggestion that Bella could be shared between them .

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 28/04/2009 10:02

I think we know what Oggs is doing today.

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 10:06

Oggs should be looking after her sick dd and numerous other things.
I can't read during the day . Will be saving it for tonight.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 28/04/2009 10:15

I finished my heroic spy story last night. Now I'm stuck. I bought the latest Philipa Gregory, but it's really badly written and can't into it. Gah! What do I read now? I haven't seen my copy of Twilight since I moved.

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:24

Oh don't say that, I just bought that too

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:25

I'm hungry

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 10:31

Then eat.

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 10:33

I've not had any breakfast yet, only 2 cups of creay coffee.
Must go and make something.
Probably scrambled eggs - I'm up to my eyes in eggs.

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:35

I did eat...

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:35

So are you doinf this diet now for a quick satrt Oggs?

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 10:39

Yep, then I think I'll switch to GI long term.
I need to totally re-address my eating patterns and a quick fix diet isn't going to do that.

I want to drop a stone first then re-assess. The benefit of this diet is that I don't feel hungry but I do feel full of energy, less bloated and more motivated.

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:40

How long will it take you do you think?

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:40

The first stone I mean?
And how quickly can that stone go back on?

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:41

Can I lose a stone in 6 weeks doing low gi do you think?

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:43

I worry that something like this makes me too obsessive. I had a bulimic spell as a teenager and I still feel I need to be careful sometimes.

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 10:45

To lose the first stone? I'm hoping another couple of weeks will see me there.

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:46

And you've been doing it how long?

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 10:50

Poor you. Maybe GI would be the way to go. It's a very healthy way of eating. Just restrict portion sizes maybe?

I had a bad period when I dropped to below 8 stone. I just stopped eating. I had to have protein drinks prescribed by the DR.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm bulimic. I don't make myself sick, but I have binges and m eating patterns would seem to indicate something like that is going on.

oggsfrog · 28/04/2009 10:51

I started last Monday.

MatthewBellamysMuse · 28/04/2009 10:53

It takes me about a month to lose a stone. I've lost the belly already (well, the bloatedness) and definitely feel smaller around the hips an bum. I'm comfortably wearing a skirt that was too tight a week ago.
I'm having a late breakfast of scrambled eggs and salami (odd combination, I know).
Berrie, the whole point of this diet is that you don't have to feel hungry. Have as many snacks as you want, just make sure it's protein or salad.

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:54

Oh I didn't regret it at the time. I got really thin. But something never quite goes away and I'm much happier fat and eating too much than thinner and thinking about food all the time.

You certainly do have eating issues Oggs. Lots of people do...

Berrie · 28/04/2009 10:54

So you reckon 3 weeks Oggs?

MatthewBellamysMuse · 28/04/2009 10:54

I started last Tuesday, Oggs. I was out on the wine on the Monday night.
