was just checking my lottery results and looking at all the unclaimed prizes, people have won thousands and just dont claim it!! i still re check an old tickets i find laying about, but havnt won for ages and ages.

actually we won £24 something in the syndicate at work and thats with 30 of in it! we were all planning what to do with the £105 million last week. but will have to keep planning for now....

worley · 16/05/2009 16:21

ds2 has took to hiding behind the armchair and keeping quite when we call him, the first time he did it i thought we had lost him, but the little devil was laughing quietly behind the chair!! he also pinched dp's wallet and was sitting behind the chair emptying all his cards and reciepts out!

and if we tell him off he wants us to take his toys away or he wants to sit down on the floor for his time out. dont have many threats left now, he also thinks the police man is going to get him as he keeps taking his arms out while in the car seat and as we drove past a police man a while ago i said they police man will get you and tell you off. so now every time he does something he shouldnt he wants the police man to come get him! and he keeps saying "for gods sake" thats me that says that, as dp took pleasure in telling me! and after he has hit ds1 or done something else he shouldnt, and we tell him off he says " what? it was an accident"!!!

TheScarletMacdog · 16/05/2009 19:14

Big helloooo from the frozen north!

Am bloomin' knackered. Been on the go all day.

dh working tomorrow, so having a trot round the shops. His uncle is having a 60th birthday dinner, so family meal in Glasgow. Let you all know how it goes

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 17/05/2009 19:38

helloo
am cream krackered after incredibly busy day in the retail world. An angry Polish guy threatened to smash up his watch with a hammer and claim on the insurance...I told him it was only covered for accidental damage. Psycho.

worley · 17/05/2009 22:46

lol,i know all abour the "it was an accident"!! we seem to get a lot of strange polish people around here too. normally in the middle of the night they turn up at a & e.

back to work tomrrowhad 5 days off and dont want to go. i had a strange dream about going for the ultrasound post last night. i dreamt they wouldnt let me do a post grad certificate as my gcse maths wasnt high enough grade so i had to go back to school and i was in ds1's class, very strange. i kept telling them it was a mistake and i already had a degree i didnt need to go back to school but i had to sit there still. it woke me up i was getting so stressed out!!lol

TheScarletMacdog · 18/05/2009 09:37

Wow! last night turned out to be BRILLIANT (all that worrying wasted on nothing!!)

Met dh when he finished at lunchtime and we took dd to the Fairground at Glasgow Green. She loved it, especially as she's big enough to go on things without us! WE had a couple of hours there, then walked up to the hospital to get changed for dinner at 4

Family meal was in an Italian restaurant in the Merchant City. About 60 people there, family and friends of dh's uncle.

Staff were all all really great with the kids and joined in with the general mayhem of balloon antics. So relaxing that we weren't continually having to make sure dd was safe/not causing damage.

We were first to leave (as usual!) at 8.45pm , getting home at half past nine!!
dd got tipped out of car, into PJ's and straight to bed.
She's away to nursery this morning still asleep!

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 18/05/2009 12:52

in my experience
if you look forwards to an event/do/meal, it turns out to be rubbish
if you dread/worry about one it often turns out great.
best to have low expectations

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 18/05/2009 12:55

ds keeps bashing himself when standing up and letting go with his hands he thinks he can fly, because we help him get down off things ie the sofa, by holding onto his tshirt and 'flying' him down when he dives off...this has made him literally believe he can fly, so he dives off everything
he keeps bashing his nose/mouth on the coffee table poor little man I cant get to him fast enough every time
is this normal for boys? he is a total daredevil and dd was so cautious and careful; don't think she ever fell over.

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 18/05/2009 12:58

oooh have such awful sinus pain
dreadful crushing head pain whenever I move it, was horrid bending down at tesco today. have taken sudafed (£4!) but it isnt working

I doubled up my clubcard points today, had £19 vouchers which doubled to £30 with £4 back on my points for next month (it is humungously compex) and used the £20 on nappies and baby food and saved £10 for next weeks wipes and cotton wool and maybe some toys for dd birthday in June

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 18/05/2009 12:59

and why oh why are we getting april showers in mid may!

ds 10mths old now cant believe it!

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 18/05/2009 13:03

they only double multiples of £5

so £19 becomes £15 with £4 left over
£15 is doubled to £30
the £4 goes back on clubcard for next lot of points
the £30 doubled comes out in £10 vouchers
which have to be used on £10 or more spends
as you cant get change from them

complex but good!

TheScarletMacdog · 18/05/2009 19:23

Bookstart day today in country park.

dd still knackered after last night and fell asleep in her buggy on way home on bus!

She's got her first trip tomorrow, going to the Farm Park in Ayr.
9 till 2

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 18/05/2009 20:33

ha ha mini macdog is having an exciting week!

just been to Runners World website

I am determined to start running
[at some point]

think I have to get proper running trainers first

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 19/05/2009 11:49

see my thread about my stupid stupid sister I actually hate her at the moment

TheHumanTorchIsDeniedaBankLoan · 19/05/2009 11:58

ok maybe I should leave well alone...

worley · 19/05/2009 14:59

look at my thread about my blooming cooker!!
i would keep out of it too for a while torchy. just see how long she keeps smoking for then i would start to make comments about it after i while! but i am a bit sarcastic apparently.

ds2 got in a fight yesterday as he wouldnt let one of the bullies copy his work so he stuck up for him self but got a kicking for it, so i went straight up the school and complained. he was quite upset about it and was crying last night. the teahcer was meant to ring me back at work today as she was in a meeting yesterday when i got there. and as she hasnt rung im not best pleased. another visit will be in order if she doesnt ring today, and dp will be back tomorrow to complain too.

worley · 19/05/2009 15:01

and ds2 wont call me mummy he keeps calling me mum hes growing up quicker than ds1!

md, i have an urge to run... i get as far as the corner shop though!!!

TheScarletMacdog · 19/05/2009 16:22

Don't bring me into this running thing...that was the other nutter, wosserface

Mind you my new sports bra arrived today, so I really have no more excuses not to go to the gym

dd survived her trip to the farm park

I'd steer clear of it, Torchy. She probably hates herself enough already.

worley · 19/05/2009 16:26

why did i think you put that md? sorry!! lol

TheScarletMacdog · 19/05/2009 16:49
Grin
Jennster · 19/05/2009 17:07

Oh my. When am I going to manage to go running now? Never. I love running. Or rather love the feeling when I've done a run.

Won't be running in my HotMilk bra for a while.

TheScarletMacdog · 19/05/2009 18:00

My nose is running, does that count???

TheScarletMacdog · 19/05/2009 18:00
