the agent usually rings me by 9:01am the following day to say
'yes, Mr and Mrs blah thought your house was shit nice but the bedrooms/bathroom/garden/lounge/upstairs/downstairs/garage* was too small

*delete as appropriate

TheCosmicClock · 14/03/2009 11:35

or...'mr and mrs Blah were looking for a 4-bed/want to be in Timperley/want to be closer to a tram stop/aren't even selling their house and just thought they'd have a nice trip out on a cold Saturday**as before

TheCosmicClock · 14/03/2009 11:37

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

we were planning on going to Chester zoo tomorrow but cant afford entry, and think dd a bit too young yet to fully appreciate.

Macdog · 15/03/2009 12:27

am slowly disappearing under mountains of washing/drying trying to get organised for hols tomorrow.

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!

Family dinner tonight too - his side.
Was supposed to be booked 5 for 5.30, but because of football it's now 6 for 6.30.
dd will probably fall asleep with her face in her dinner, and have to have a very late night before we go big drive tomorrow

Jenn, I'll probably still be ranting when I arrive in Englandshire - be warned

Coloured my hair, might make me feel less frumpy around the glamorous cousins

OP posts:
TheCosmicClock · 15/03/2009 16:43

what colour??

Have a luvverly time holiday-hi-hi-ing

I am v smug, have dried 2 loads washing on line, been to B&Q for supplies, put some bedding plants in, sowed sunflower seeds with dd, and re-painted most of kitchen ivory. looks v nice.
I shudder to think what I found underneath the fridge when I cleaned under it though...
now have very achey right shoulder and neck as painted non-stop for 3 hours!

TheCosmicClock · 15/03/2009 16:43

I feel like Jenn!!

TheCosmicClock · 15/03/2009 16:46

had rush of blood to the head in B&Q spent a fortune. got some of those foam jigsaw baby mats for kids to play on in conservatory, ds loves them
and got an enormous play mat with a road network printed on it for £10. now they can play with their little cars on it and it will protect the carpet from ds-vomit. it is quite large...

TheCosmicClock · 15/03/2009 16:47

its lovely outside, just been drinking my tea and watching a bumble bee with dd. 'where's his mummy?' she kept asking

TheCosmicClock · 15/03/2009 16:47

how do you tell diff betwixt bumbles and honey bees?

worley · 15/03/2009 20:47

im not allowed to call ds2 his realname anymore, he is now marshfire or something like that, i need ds1 to tell me it again, nut he is in bed so cant remember now. hopefully ds2 will revert back to his proper name in the morning. (marshfire is a ben 10 character, thought i better add that as you wont know what im going on about, unless youve been watching ben 10 cartoons in your spare time too??)

when to a party for one of ds2's nursery friends this afternoon, to a play area weve never been to before, it was in great yarmouth and i dont normally go that far into norfolk!!!! it was fun though, we all played hide and seek and ds2 is quite happy to run around by himself and climb and jump. except im not happy for him to go it alone yet! im a nervous wreck and follow him around.

worley · 15/03/2009 20:49

bumbles are big furry bottomed and honeys are waspish looking.
my grandad used to talk to bumbles and stroked them, dp thinks this was weird but when i was 7 and he told me he knew all theirs names and they talked to him and let him stroke them, i thought it was magical,

as my nanny also insisted that she had fairys living at the bottom of her garden, but i never saw any of those though.

worley · 15/03/2009 20:50

and if that bloody collen women gets through in dancing on ice tonight im going to be how she keeps going through i dont know??

Macdog · 15/03/2009 21:26

Just back from family dinner. didn't go into dining room till nearly 7pm. dd very tired, so probably be a nightmare journey tomorrow.

This will be my last MN for a while - no 'puter on hols

OP posts:
Macdog · 15/03/2009 21:32

worley · 15/03/2009 21:35

whoo hoo, they have to get rid of her now, they cant keep her in, donals not too bad but i think jessica should win as ray has just been good all the way through and jessica has got better and better.

Jennster · 16/03/2009 13:01

Voodoo. Love the houses. Couldn't imagine living on one level, but wow great garden. Think the bungalow garden rules out oaps. Limits the sellers options, but also your's in X number of years when you want to sell.

Worley, I'd say to your mum she can have the house, but only if she puts real wood down in the lounge and proper tiles in the kitchen.

I will TRY and remember to take photos.

TheCosmicClock · 16/03/2009 13:16

have fun y'all!

just got back from playgroup and ds so tired he was crying all through lunch (unlike him, usually eating is the priority) so just slung him in cot for an early nap.

He is really winding down his bf, my boobs are v. full as he slept through last night (hooray) which is good as Im back at work soon.

At playgroup they had this massive dolls house, dd adored it so that'll be a good birthday present, (from the grandparents) I think.
The skin on my hands is so dry and sore even e45 not working. Any recommendations? oilatum makes them worse too. Think Im allergic to wash up liquid but too lazy to wear gloves...

TheCosmicClock · 16/03/2009 13:17

good point Jenn re bungalow.

Jennster · 16/03/2009 17:27

But potty training in a bungalow is so much easier than a house.....

TheCosmicClock · 16/03/2009 20:46

we have a downstairs loo here so never a big issue for me! except it ain't heated and on those few days it was snowing I still made dd perch on toilet in there rather than climb upstairs!

TheCosmicClock · 16/03/2009 20:47

I got them 'done' by the photographer at playgroup. so cute with their little arms around each other! He was great, even managed to get a smile out of my little madam.

TheCosmicClock · 16/03/2009 20:48

got MIL and GGMIL coming tomoz. Hoovered et al but place still a tip. And here I am frittering time on here!

worley · 16/03/2009 21:07

jenn, my mum decided not to look at house as it has a north facing garden, ans she wants a south facing garden! total gardening addict!
