Oh gosh rosa, poor dh! And how is your mil? Has she recovered completely?

OP posts:
Rosa · 09/02/2009 17:10

Thx Franca she is fine physically but I think she is still a bit scared of it happening again so she is not racing round . We will wait and see .
I do feel sorry for dh he does look a bit pale - he is one of those red rosy cheeked people as well !!Mind you how long I will feel sorry for him I don't know. ( depends on how hard he pushes things ..Amore me prende .... etc etc

francagoestohollywood · 09/02/2009 17:20

lol yes!

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 09/02/2009 17:22

poor DH, hope he's not in too much pain

hothell · 09/02/2009 19:08

Poor rosa with your dh and the kids and your mil, and the complications of being in Venice!

Golino is 40, Scammy about 26! They have been going out for 4 years, according to my online sources, I wonder if she will have Scammy babies. I like her, he is not my thing, 10 a penny down south.

hothell · 09/02/2009 19:08

wow, big meet up then!

francagoestohollywood · 09/02/2009 19:25

No, no, no scamy was born in 1979. I read it on Vanity Fair.
Oh no, I think you are wrong hot, he is particularly handsome imo. Plus quite charming in the interviews I saw on tv.
I'm 20 mins late getting the dc ready for bed, we had late dinner as dh is away and they had their english lessons. I'm quite impressed by how well they remember it (despite having acquired a dodgy italian accent)

hothell · 09/02/2009 19:42

You are well informed indeed! he is 30 then, still a hell of a lot younger than her. he just does not look very bright to me, boh.
Here for all you micky rourke fans, he is repellent but also sweet (as long as he does not touch me).

hothell · 09/02/2009 20:10

and he is not drunk or on drugs, good on him.

PippiCalzelunghe · 09/02/2009 20:21

I'm watching them all...

hothell · 09/02/2009 20:27

i did too.....
i liked daniel day lewis' speech, he is a bit batty but well meaning
i also liked peneope cruz' - kate winslet seems so happy for her, i bet she is livid with jealousy!

gio71 · 09/02/2009 20:58

how lovely Paris Franca ,have a wonderful time.
watched Romanzo Criminale again on DVD last night and decided yes scammy is lovely but Kim Rossi Stuart is better. Very lovely.
Been to Primark today, allegedly for ds summer clothes. He came out with a T shirt and I spent £80 and got sooooooo much stuff for me, T shirts, jumpers, pyjamas, coat-loads! Have to go back for a 2nd trip for ds now.
Just been reading papers online-see Eluana has died this evening. Agree with every anti Berlusca sentiment you were all saying a few pages back. Disgusting creature, no shame/conscience.

francagoestohollywood · 09/02/2009 21:30

Hello Gio, you can see you are making the most of your time in the uk .

I haven't had the time to catch up with the news tonight, as ds had another falling asleep crisis. I can now safely blame the "land before time dvds" and its heartbreaking stories of tiny dinosaurs loosing their parents . Actually not the story is not bad as bambi (which I've never showed to the dc), I thought it quite inoffensive, but it evidently triggered ds . I'm now thinking about staying in Milan.

Oh I like Kim rossi stuart too. But prefer scamy. I like young men !

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 09/02/2009 21:31

out!

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 09/02/2009 21:37

Oh god - I remember that film! It is upsetting. Though, indeed, not as tragic as Bambi, from which I was removed, aged 5, crying hysterically. "We made it mother! Mother?! Mooooottttthhhhhher!!!!"

I'm sure he will be fine, you poor thing. Don't let it ruin your plans, though I understand that you must feel anxious about the poor little chap.

When were you supposed to leave?

Penthesileia · 09/02/2009 21:39

Poor DS.

I am a bit softie too: I was in tears today watching "The World At War".

Penthesileia · 09/02/2009 21:40

All those brave Eastenders... And brave fighter pilots, etc.

Sniff.

Arrrghh. I'm now visualising the little dinosaurs, particularly the baby brontosaurus (or diplodocus - not sure which he was). [sob]

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 09/02/2009 21:45

Franca, that could explain it. My niece had a thing about mamme not being in pictures (since she was really small), I mean, she'd see a baby soap bottle with loads of babies and she'd cry her eyes out, had to struggle to explain that she couldn't see the mummy as she was taking the picture. telling her stories became a nightmare as you had to think hard of all the questions she could come up with....

actually, DS watched those when we were in italy a couple of years ago (they always seem to show them around xmas) but at 2 it was easy just to say mum's gone to tesco's

Awww sunflower, che tenera la tua nipotina! Bless.
Ds's always seemed fine with "death", perhaps he is really starting to understand what it means.

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 09/02/2009 21:50

now

OP posts:
Penthesileia · 09/02/2009 21:52

Yes, yes - Littlefoot.

"The Yearling" - oh lord - about the boy and the deer? Were your teachers sadists?

Penthesileia · 09/02/2009 21:53

Do you think so, franca?
