Welcome, ciao, hello

Rosa, I think the "usual suspects" are always good fun: pass the parcel, the one with the donkey's tale, or things like "le belle statuine"...

Penthe, we should organize a meet up in venice! Last time I went (and met rosa!) I got particularly fond of the san Barnaba area. What a splendid place... (though not buggy friendly )

I wish I had more time to really put my money where my mouth is. I so don't agree and get incensed with many choices of this government. I often think there is no hope for Italy (and this regardless of who's at the government): organized crime, corruption, stupidity, lack of collective sense of responsibility. Shame, as I'm so fond of it.

and musical chairs..

francagoestohollywood · 08/02/2009 19:04

I loved music chairs, even if it made me all anxious....

Rosa · 08/02/2009 19:58

They are too little to get on the chairs there they are all climbing size chairs. Ithought of pass the parcel but again pasing it round 20 kids would take forever - i suppose I could do 2 but then you run the risk of not getting the unwrapping right so everybody gets a turn . Musical bumps - no and musical statues they are too small to even understand what stand still is . Pin the tale on the donkey is a good one as they could do that as and when they wanted.
We have realised that we have forgotten to get dd carnival costume for ' outside' we had meant to get it last week - ooppps ( very bad Venetian parents here ) So Dh and I are tossing a coin who races to the mainland to get one as here they are like Eu50 ( I don't think so)

PippiCalzelunghe · 08/02/2009 20:33

Hi all, just a quickie as about to watch 'the wrestler' with dh.
Just wanted to say that I got obsessed and addicted with this and are seriously thinking to do it this year. A bit of houseporn worldwide !

francagoestohollywood · 08/02/2009 20:41

Maybe too young for belle statuine, but might be ready for sacco pieno sacco vuoto?

Pippi, last year I red a brilliant article by Curzio Maltese (one of my favourite journos) who did this, he and his family spent a month in NYC!

hot you must look at this.

Rosa · 08/02/2009 20:47

WHat is sacco pieno sacco vuoto ?
Blimey I would swap my hose for that in Rome crikey must be worth a fortune do you think they would like a weekend in venice chicco and fisher price toys included ???

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 20:49

Blimey, do you think they'd want to exchange with my trilocale in Monza?

Rosa, you are a masochist, the idea of 20 3yos in my house gives me the shakes. I suppose we're quite lucky in that DD's birthday is in July (so no school friends around in theory), although now she's been to a few parties she's started asking me about when she can have hers. I've no suggestions for party games, other that what has already been mentioned.

Sputnik · 08/02/2009 20:50

I keep thinking about house swapping as ours would make a great destination for someone (once we've fixed all the niggly things). When I was 10 my Dad had a sabbatical and we swapped with some people in Vancouver, we lived there several months and went to school there, we definitly had the better part of the deal on the house too!

There's a home exchange part of the Guardian too.

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 20:51

Snap Rosa!

Our toys aren't chicco but we do have rather a lot of wooden toys lurking in various corners [superior sniff]

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 20:52

I was thinking of asking for wads of hard cash for my place during Gran Premio weekend. Trouble is, they'd also have to cat sit, which might pose a bit of a problem.

Sputnik · 08/02/2009 20:53

You'd have to look after their big hairy dog though!

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 20:55

I had a surreal moment this afternoon when I met the new American neighbour of a friend of mine for the very first time. She spent the first 20 minutes filling me in on her carbs consumption over the last week, then started asking me questions about my sex life, after which she told me she wanted to meet my DP. I didn't reply to her questions at all, maybe she thought she'd ask him?

Rosa · 08/02/2009 20:57

Oh no 20 kids in my house ...nooooo we have hired a room .
I would happily look after Rufus the dog and if they wanted I would get them a goldfish to look after with pleasure......

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 20:57

Ooh, I don't mind about their big hairy dog if they don't mind about my pussies. Shame they don't want to come to Monza.

Sputnik · 08/02/2009 20:57

Blimey, this lot have a choice of 4 houses and 2 boats. Why aren't I a Greek plastic surgeon?

Rosa · 08/02/2009 20:58

Oh she can ask me about my sex life it would take all of 2 seconds for me to answer

Sputnik · 08/02/2009 20:59

Sorry forgot to link in my excitement

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 20:59

That sounds more like it Rosa! I feel relieved for you. The best thing about DD's summer birthday is I can commandeer a picnic taqble at the local park and have her party there. That's what the monzesi seem to do anyway.

Rosa · 08/02/2009 21:00

Sorry Brange I have to say this as they might want to come to Monza to see your pussy - And if you have 2 then I guess they might REALLY be impressed !

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 21:00

Mine wouldn't take much longer, but only because I'd stutter, which is why I didn't answer her.

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 21:01

Ah but Claudio and Danilo don't seem the type to be very iinterested in pussies, non?

Brangelina · 08/02/2009 21:02

Sputnik, they have a boy traveller?

Rosa · 08/02/2009 21:03

Oh dear me I have read the greek one and he has a big donkey or was it a big dog and a donkey - Well we could apply for that one as we have a boat ok so its not 45 feet but I could put a goat on it so he would feel at home ....
