today dd2 had crackers, some strawberries and a couple of dd1's penne al pesto with hands - does it count? also she managed to poo on the sofa ... I was left speechless...

francagoestohollywood · 06/02/2009 13:47

Elimination communication I think.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 06/02/2009 13:48

what color is the sofa?

Brangelina · 06/02/2009 13:48

EC is elimination communication, where you avoid nappies altogether and get babies to pee/poo in pots. Some people do it on MN (as well as in many parts of the world) but it just sounds totally exhausting.

Pippi, I think I'm growing funghi in my brain with all this rain. also, work is very boring atm and I find that mind-numbing. I think I'll go and put my orange jumper on, it always makes me feel sunnier.

PippiCalzelunghe · 06/02/2009 13:49

what is it?

PippiCalzelunghe · 06/02/2009 13:49

what is it?

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 06/02/2009 13:49

coudn't try EC, DD lawys seem to do it while she's attached feeding , and I love my fluffy nappies too much

PippiCalzelunghe · 06/02/2009 13:49

x post - what's wrong with my pc?

Brangelina · 06/02/2009 13:49

at pooe sofa! Is it cream?

Brangelina · 06/02/2009 13:51

Yes, I'm a nappy lover too. I might have found somewhere to sell them in Italy, there's a sito from Trentino/Alto adige about cloth nappies.

PippiCalzelunghe · 06/02/2009 13:53

I used to have a orange junper with flowers on.. you are right even thinking about it makes me smile!

Oh go I thought I heard about it but did not think it was totally without nappies. Oh but what do you do? I really cannot see how it can be done practically.

Sputnik · 06/02/2009 13:54

Yes 8 euros sounds quite generous to me too. I used to give the cleaner 7.

So BS, have you read The Calcutta Chromosone then? I've read it twice and one day I will figure out what's going on in that book!

PippiCalzelunghe · 06/02/2009 13:54

luckily no, it's dark grey so not too bad. we learnt our lesson - last one was cream. still pretty yuky even though she's my lovely.

Brangelina · 06/02/2009 13:54

There's a thread somewhere explaining it. I think they must use nappies when going out, I can't see anyone holding their baby over a bin in an emergency.

SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 06/02/2009 13:54

I found quite a few regions/province offering incentives, that's why my friend started using them

PippiCalzelunghe · 06/02/2009 13:54

ohh hello sputnik, how many books I've never heard of...

Brangelina · 06/02/2009 13:55

Yes, but of course in foggy sunny Lombardia there aren't any. You'r more advanced in the east.

francagoestohollywood · 06/02/2009 13:56

I might be barking but I think that even milano offers incentives to use cloth nappies?

OP posts:
SunflowerNeedsSunshine · 06/02/2009 13:56

yes, can really imagine myself boob out feeding DD sat on a bucket on my lap ...

oh, bum, forgot to put nighbours on...

Brangelina · 06/02/2009 13:58

There are loads I haven't heard of either. There are also others that I can't remember having read and buy them again. This happens a lot if I've read it in Italian and the title isn't directly translated. It also happens because my memory is going and I can no longer remember what I read 20 odd years ago.

francagoestohollywood · 06/02/2009 13:58

Haven't watched neighbours in yrs! I was gutted when Drew died and later toadie's blond wife. So I gave up.

Brangelina · 06/02/2009 13:59

Maybe now they do but didn't when I was looking. Still, I got my bargain set off ebay so I shouldn't complain.

PippiCalzelunghe · 06/02/2009 13:59

btw I meant to say I did read kunder back then and loved it. surely will not be able to read it now. a bit like siddharta I guess.

Sputnik · 06/02/2009 14:00

I wanted to try BLW, but DS just threw everything on the floor.

I have a friend that did EC, apparently you learn to read their face kind of thing, which you do by putting them in a clothie with no wrap then watching very attentively. It worked for her!

Brangelina · 06/02/2009 14:00

Should we start a provocative thread? I'm feeliing mischevious, although tbh I'm not sure I'll have the energy to keep it up.
