Zuba - I don't think you're allowed to advertise your bussiness on a public forum like this or other parenting forums unless you pay for it and I suspect this might be the reason why Alexandre didn't give more details about it.
BUT she did ask people ,who might have interested, to get in contact with her and she would have provided them with all the information they needed to make up their mind.
So ,as Zuki said, she has gone about it the right way.

and I can't see this being so much different from the Adrian Samson or the Rosie Collins tfp shoot. At the end of the day they still left adverts on gumtree asking for people interested to get in contact with them. They too didn't go through an agency to "recruit" children but noone complained about it...

MABS - your daughter has a great taste I LOVE Jack Willis clothes!!She's tall but again, she's only 14 so I would probably start with a kids agency first and maybe in 2/3 years time move her to an adult one. i would defo send an application to KL or UA ( I think they're opening their books again now)

catia212 · 04/05/2009 11:33

Hi Tinkerbel6, thanks for your response.
I already send a few emails and a few agencies got back to me saying that they would like to have my daughter in their books, the agencies are: Babyshak, Bizzykidz, Baby Models UK, Elisabeth Smith, Allsorts, scallywags. I haven't applied to kids london because they not accept applications by email only post.
In your opinion should I apply to kids london or should I just accept one of the agencies that said yes.
I have done lots of reading and most of people say that Elizabeth Smith is good for babies but that they have to many babies on their books. I have to say that I am so so confused...is not easy...but maybe depends on luck...

Tinkerbel6 · 04/05/2009 14:31

Luce I don't think it matters now anyway as alexandre has now got children to model for her without her paying agencies fee's, although their agents do need to be made aware of it, and they would probably do checks on the client on their behalf. I do hope that whoever does it does get licensed and expenses paid so they won't be out of pocket.

Catia I think that you should still apply to KL, BB, MOT, UA and AK as they are the agencies that have low start up fee's, don't make a decision just yet, I think AK were looking for babies a little while ago, good luck.

BillyBooCrazyMoo · 05/05/2009 13:09

UA south's books are now open.
Anyone going to apply to them?

alexandre · 05/05/2009 16:04

BilliBooCrazyMoo - Yes me.

So confused about which agency to go for that we keep applying to more and more and not taking up any of them!

Rejected by KL - not sure whether on distance from London or one of the other reasons eg. not photogenic. It would help if they ticked one of the reasons.

Accepted by all the others except MOT and BB which we are still waiting to hear from.

I think really we may only be interested in UA, MOT and BB.

BillyBooCrazyMoo · 05/05/2009 18:39

Good luck Alexandre hope you manage to get into one of the big London Agencies.
Have you tried AK ?

I totally agree it would be helpful if Agencies gave a reason when they say No, ie. distance, similar kids already on books OR child not photogenic.

BillyBooCrazyMoo · 06/05/2009 17:51

Anyone else going to the ITNG casting on Monday or Sleepmaster on Tuesday ?

grumpalumpa · 07/05/2009 10:15

ahh my little one would love the INTG casting but sadly not been invited!! How old is your little one BILLYBOO??

BillyBooCrazyMoo · 07/05/2009 12:04

He's 3 but unfortunately doesn't like ITNG, I just hope he doesn't say that on Monday. I think I'm going to have to gag him.
How old is your lo ?

grumpalumpa · 07/05/2009 12:30

billyboo - my dd is 2 going on 12!!! I am sure your DS will be fine and wish him luck for that and sleepmaster! Which agency are you with??

alexandre · 07/05/2009 13:27

Thanks BBCM

fattycatty · 09/05/2009 11:32

can some one help. ive got and audition monday for my 4 yr old and dont know whats best to put her in. My first one and dont want to call the agency incase i feel stupid

pureeandpearls · 10/05/2009 09:27

I can't help FattyCatty as DD is only 11 months, but if the Agency haven't given any specific guidelines then I'd put them in something that might stand out. I remember once reading that someone buys slogan t-shirts to put her child in so that the people auditioning remember her. HTH

MABS · 10/05/2009 12:08

Hi all - am doing applications for my 14 yr old this week, thanks for yr advice. Will let you know.

Anyone know of any reputable adult agencies as think i may do both.

Totallyfloaty35 · 11/05/2009 09:42

Mabs try Storm,Profile,Select and Models one, they are fab adult agents.
Kids agents are Bruce an Brown,KL and u/a books now open,my dd3 with them and they have very good client list that includes Vogue,Marie Claire and Burberry amongst others.Fee includes pics and is low, application process does take a while though, about a month but a good agent for high fashion as are the other 2.Goodluck with whoever you decide on.

MABS · 11/05/2009 18:29

approached storm, truly scrumptious, Childsplay,Elizabeth Smith and Norrie Carr ysty - all want to see her. I assume they just say yes to all first off? Not sure what to think, any advice? not heard back from UA South yet.

MABS · 11/05/2009 19:06

and Rascals said yes too.

Totallyfloaty35 · 11/05/2009 19:50

Lots of them say no,Storm is fantastic,go with them if you go down the adult route, for kids try KL and Bruce brown as they high end fashion like u/a but for kids market, the others u mentioned apart from u/a have higher fees.

mehdismummy · 11/05/2009 22:12

fattycatty · 11/05/2009 22:40

Thanks for the advice Pureeandpearls. I will try that one next time it was a bit late for that one. It wasnt as bad as i thought itd be, really quick actually. Does that normally mean we werent what they wanted do you think.
thanks

fattycatty · 11/05/2009 22:41

mehdismummy i found my agency on www.albamodel.info if thats any use

mehdismummy · 12/05/2009 19:45

has anyone heard of scallywags agency in ilford is it normal to pay for a years subscripion and money on top for photos and them to take a fee?

KatherineMS · 13/05/2009 09:20

Mehdismummy have you tried this?
hubpages.com/hub/Baby-modelling
It tells you lots of things you probably have already been thinking about, but sort of pulls it all together.
My ds has just been accepted by Babyshak, who seem ok. No horror stories yet, although as we are in Yorkshire I expect there will be much less work than if we were in or around London. Good luck!

MABS · 13/05/2009 14:56

anyone heard of Diesel for teens?
