Hallowean
It was funny to me, and may not be funny to you lot. But here goes, yesterday it was time for my parents to re start their indoor winter bowling.
My Dad is from a large family and one of his brothers also played in the club, so the conversation went like this.
LGJ > Oh you are going to have to tell his brother John.
LGJs Mum > John is dead about five years.
LGJ > Course he is, I meant Peter.
LGJs Mum > Peter died four years ago....
LGJ > FFS which one is in the bowling club..
LGJs Mum > David
LGJ > Ah yes David, you are going to have to tell him....
LGJ's Mum > He doesn't bowl anymore, he has very bad alzheimers...
LGJs Dad > Take it from me, I would rather have all my marbles and know I was dying, than be confused as buggery and think I was OK.
Two points to note,
One: We are not close to my Dads family at all, they are odd to say the least.....
Two: My DDad has a very black sense of humour.
It probably won't make anyone else laugh, but it showed me that my DDad is alive and well and his sense of humour is intact.
