...... do you realise we've been chatting now for almost 18months .

Berrie, thankyou for the very kind offer to mug your children. It's much appreciated .
Tbh the car only cost £150 last year so it's reached the end of it's days I'm afraid - we need to get another one.

I know the feeling though - I think I've done really well at the shops sometimes, but try as I might I can't get it below £100 a week. Must Try Harder.

Oh... morning

Berrie · 16/02/2009 10:31

F**K
My back has gone. Thought I'd got away with it this year.

It's the chivvying that wears me out!

I put tv on so that I can go and have a bath with a cup of tea.

oggsdog · 16/02/2009 11:35

Oh bugger!

I agree that the chivvying is the most frustrating, head banging against wall, clenched teethy part of the morning. That's why I have my relaxing time once they're both out of the house.
Then dh comes home at about 9:30 and the day should really starts.

I had a really bad back the week before last. I got dh to massage tiger balm in to the affected part regularly - mine is muscular pain and it really helps.

Hope it doesn't get too bad.

Berrie · 16/02/2009 11:41

Looks like it's not going to be too bad this time.

Would be half term though!

Am lying on sofa with laptop and dc are also lying on top of me whining to have a turn on the computer. Sigh.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 16/02/2009 11:54

Any better yet, Berrie? Poor you, there's nothing worse than a bad back.

ok. 7am, alarm goes off and I make huge mug of coffee and toast or whatever and turn on the radio. I then have breakfast in bed, reading the paper until around 8am when I decide it's time to get out of bed and have a shower.

I then leave for work around 8.50ish for work.

Still, DS more than makes up for this at weekends!

Berrie · 16/02/2009 13:45

That sounds like heaven Zeb!

I don't think it's going to be too serious though have been lying down all morning so who knows...

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 16/02/2009 13:50

A warm bath sometimes works for me Berrie.

Berrie · 16/02/2009 13:54

Ds and I are playing a drawing (reading) game. I write things like...can you put a leg on the hen, drawing a one legged hen for him to complete. He is drawing a tent and writing, 'can you put dd in the tent doin a we an a po po in the pote.'

I have drawn more turds than I'd like to today.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 16/02/2009 14:29

Why are young children so potty and botty obsessed? DS spent the weekend with his hand down his trousers, or, after his bath, just running around playing with it.

Berrie · 16/02/2009 14:54

DS was like that, he's not so bad now...Im sure he's stretched it!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 16/02/2009 15:17

I bet he won't say THAT to all the girls when he's older.

Berrie · 16/02/2009 16:31

Do you know the South of france at all?
Am searching for a camping holiday. It's so hard to know what a resort is like...I want something beautiful on the coast, a bit of a pretty town and not too many people.

oggsdog · 16/02/2009 19:02

The last only time I went to France was 26 years ago on a school trip to the Loire Valley so I won't be much use.

We don't do holidays - too many logistical problems.

How's the back this evening?

ProfessorCalculus · 16/02/2009 19:04

We went a couple of summers ago Berrie. Anything in/around Antibes where we stayed. Don't know much about the rest of it but we know people who stay in St Tropez and a bit further along the coast. I think it's pretty much all lovely. Start a thread under the camping topic.

oggsdog · 16/02/2009 19:15

There's a thread here that might be of some use. Should be more in the camping section of travel.

ProfessorCalculus · 16/02/2009 19:23

How are you Oggs?
I'm enjoying having the boys home this week. I miss them when they're at school all day.
We're trying to decide where to go for our holiday too Berrie. We're thinking Italy again. We could do two weeks in a villa in southern Italy for about £1,500. Cheapy cheap.
I costed a week in Butlins at the boys' insistence and it was about the same price. Now, that's a tough choice, Italy or Butlins Bognor Regis...

ProfessorCalculus · 16/02/2009 19:24

That £1,500 includes flights but no car and no pool.

Berrie · 16/02/2009 19:35

No one is answering my travel threads.

The back is not good but could be worse.

oggsdog · 16/02/2009 19:52

Still snuffly Lyra. It has moved onto my chest and is making my asthma bad.

Poor dd has really copped for it again - she's coughing and sneezing and her eyes are red-rimmed and bloodshot. I've just tucked her up in bed with calpol, horlicks, warm wheat pads and Just William audiotapes.

ProfessorCalculus · 16/02/2009 19:54

It's miserable being ill isn't it.
Speaking of Just William, yesterday I was helping my mum find clips of Just William from the 50s. She used to run home from school to watch it. She was amazed at what you can find on Youtube.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 16/02/2009 19:56

Poor little mite.

Berrie · 16/02/2009 20:02

I kept thinking of your dh making you cancel the first villa today!

Berrie · 16/02/2009 20:03

Poor DD, poor you!

Berrie · 16/02/2009 20:05

Any thoughts on the house Zeb?

ProfessorCalculus · 16/02/2009 20:05

Hmph. Last night he said 'shall we go to Greece this year?'. I said I wasn't going down that road again after last year's fiasco.
