...... do you realise we've been chatting now for almost 18months .

Berrie, thankyou for the very kind offer to mug your children. It's much appreciated .
Tbh the car only cost £150 last year so it's reached the end of it's days I'm afraid - we need to get another one.

I know the feeling though - I think I've done really well at the shops sometimes, but try as I might I can't get it below £100 a week. Must Try Harder.

Morning all.
What's on this week?
Dd is off pre school again as she has had a relapse. She spent the weekend sitting on me feeling very sorry for herself but she seems a bit brighter today.
Next week I start work in earnest so I need to get myself a bit sorted this week but also try and enjoy my last bit of time to myself (dd permitting)

Oggsdog · 26/01/2009 09:59

Morning

Have spent the weekend attempting to knit a sock. Have failed miserably and have somehow ended up knitting it inside-out and upside-down . Back to the drawing board...

Have just made a pot of leek, potato and watercress soup and am now going to take the remains of yesterdays roast chicken off the bones in preparartion for chicken wraps for tea tonight.

Lovely sunny day with blue skies.

Will you be working during the days?

Berrie · 26/01/2009 12:15

Why would you want a hand knitted sock?

Soup sounds good though. DH and I did our BMI last night, we are both obese. We are going to try to get into the unhealthily overweight band.

I will be working a morning and an afternoon at the moment as well as the two evenings I'd planned to cut down to. I expect that I might get another afternoon and morning too but I'm a bit wary of landing myself with too much planning time. I don't want the other days to be spent fending off dd while I do some work. She'll be at school next year and then I'll be sorry. I've the rest of my life to work, it just seems counterintuitive to refuse work when money is so tight though...

Oggsdog · 26/01/2009 12:52

Why on earth would you not want a hand-knitted sock .

Dh and I weighed exactly the same at our weigh in 3 weeks ago .
Since then he's lost 10.75lbs and I've lost 6lbs. He weighs in on a mon and me on a thu, and I'm dreading it 'cos I's been baaaaad.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 26/01/2009 13:06

I didn't lose any in the last week either. And I wasn't particularly baadd. Well, except for DH driving me to drink again.

This week shall be spent finishing up our Official Reporting stuff for the Powers That Be, to prove we didn't waste all that EU cash and tea and cake. Then I'll have a second go at my cv, then start begging people to give me a job!

Saturday should be spent going to get my new car, which has yet to be named. DS says it needs a name cos all Bob the Builder's machinery and vehicles have names. Bless.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 26/01/2009 13:07

Nearly forgot. Oggs, you have to come and visit Truro library. There's the most gorgeous DW poster on the wall. I was going to nick it for you, but I thought everyone there would think I was mad.

Berrie · 26/01/2009 13:43

Tee hee, yes Oggs does like to travel a long way to her libraries doesn't she!
Where abouts are Ma and Pa and the Car? Is it a long trip for you?

I of course, already have my own DT poster.

Oggsdog · 26/01/2009 15:14

Ooh Zeb. Ask them if it needs a home when they've finished with it.

Hey! When did this little fella arrive?

Berrie · 26/01/2009 15:49

Have just been reading that a bmi of 27 is the healthiest even though it's well into the overweight bracket (30 being obese) so that's ok then.

He's not available for me, whered'ya get him?

Oggsdog · 26/01/2009 16:28

Ooh. He's gone again. He was at the bottom of the list of emoticons [conf]

Berrie · 26/01/2009 17:22

What was he called?

Oggsdog · 26/01/2009 17:28

Funnily enough the confused emoticon was called [conf]

I started another thread here. They're working on him.

Berrie · 26/01/2009 20:23

Alright alright! sarky cow!

Oooo Oggs is talking to the Mumsnet powers that be!

Berrie · 27/01/2009 07:43

Moooorning!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 27/01/2009 08:33

Does that mean that Oggs is, [say it in hushed, reverent tones] important?

Oh, morning!!!

Oggsdog · 27/01/2009 08:39
Berrie · 27/01/2009 09:09

Berrie dips a curtsey.

Berrie · 27/01/2009 09:15

Yesterday I completed my credit cruch curtain. I was fed up of people walking down the hill looking in my window thinking.
a) what a messy house
b) look at her lying on the sofa, she should get off her arse and tidy up

Anyway I cut out about 200 paper flowers and glued them together in a lacey fashion. It looks ok in here but a bit naff from the outside but at least people can be looking at the odd curtain rather than me!

Oggsdog · 27/01/2009 09:21

Ooh, how inventive. Where did you get the idea from? White or coloured flowers? How big?
Photo please

Zeb did you get your cv sorted? Did you get any further with the toy-boy job?

Berrie · 27/01/2009 09:56

I got the idea from an article in the Times about the Charlie and Lola author. It mentioned that she had laser cut plastic curtains and you could see them behind her in the picture. I have snowflakes in my windows at Christmas which I love. (nice ones not kiddie ones!)I kind of put the two ideas together. I think they might have to go eventually. They look pretty odd from the outside.

Berrie · 27/01/2009 09:56

Ooops, meant to say, have e-mailed you a pic.

Berrie · 27/01/2009 09:57

They are white, dd thinks I should colour them in. She got quite upset when I shrieked as she advanced towards them with a felt tip...

Oggsdog · 27/01/2009 10:04

Oh, I saw that article. I wondered at the time how much she would have paid for them.
She comes across as a fun/quirky person doesn't she?
Will await email.

Oggsdog · 27/01/2009 10:06

Oh Berrie, they look beautiful . Clever you.

Have to dash off, dh wants pooter.

Have a good day all.

Oggsdog · 27/01/2009 10:07

Must have taken you ages to cut them all out. What glue did you use?

Really must go.
