...... do you realise we've been chatting now for almost 18months .

Berrie, thankyou for the very kind offer to mug your children. It's much appreciated .
Tbh the car only cost £150 last year so it's reached the end of it's days I'm afraid - we need to get another one.

I know the feeling though - I think I've done really well at the shops sometimes, but try as I might I can't get it below £100 a week. Must Try Harder.

Could be.

We're meeting later at a bar in town that closely resembles a classy tart's boudoir

Berrie · 28/10/2008 10:43

On a school night too!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 28/10/2008 12:04

[shame] What can I say? If I didn't see him tonight, I wouldn't be able to see him until at least next Wednesday! Goodness me, from being a SAHM with nothing to look forward to except the next cow bulling, I appear to now have something resembling a life.

Berrie · 28/10/2008 12:13

Have a lovely time and remember to come back and tell us allllll the details...well, maybe not all!

oggsfrog · 28/10/2008 12:34

Hope you have a great time Zeb .

I know the feeling all too well Berrie. Have just had a clear out and have got rid of a bin bag full of clothes. A lot of them were my safety net clothes for when I'm too big to fit into anything else but which make me look like waynetta slob ten years older and like a sack of spuds.

I have also been drinking waaaayyyy too much and need to do something about it.

Only have a single pair of jeans that fit (the stretchy ones). All other trousers/skirts in wardrobe too tight . Face all puffy .

I'm just not in the right head space at moment to tackle both drinking and eating, so have started with drinking.
Aim is not to drink. If I must, then restrict to weekends and stop after one bottle max.

Berrie · 28/10/2008 14:33

I didn't drink Friday or Saturday...but went crap after that.

Have just seen huge rat in chicken coop. It wasn't bothered about me at all. I suppose I knew we'd get them but was hoping to get away with it.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 28/10/2008 15:52

How are you going to dispose of the rat? Disgusting things.
And I know what you mean about the wardrobe. It's only now that I'm beginning to finally build up a new one with clothes that fit me, and I've been working for 2 years. And I still only have one pair of jeans. I am though, finally accepting my post post baby bod.

And thanks about tonight. I shall, of course, update you tomorrow.

Have to say I thought of what you might be doing as I got into bed last night...an odd feeling!

Berrie · 29/10/2008 09:21

ZEB!

oggsfrog · 29/10/2008 09:24

Berrie, I'm sure she's right this minute composing a blow by blow in depth tasteful account of last nights proceedings

Berrie · 29/10/2008 09:27

...

Berrie · 29/10/2008 09:28

She'd better be!
Do you have rats?
Will they infect my chickens?

oggsfrog · 29/10/2008 09:33

We've had plenty in the past but don't at the moment.
I used to sit and watch them from the window. There was an old grandad with a bent tail and loads of littlies playing together . I like rats.
We poisoned them in the end as there were so many.

Where is she???

OP posts:
Berrie · 29/10/2008 09:36

Maybe she is working? Unlikely

oggsfrog · 29/10/2008 09:46

Damn. I'm going to have to go and do things.

Zeb, wherever you are I hope you had a thoroughly enjoyable evening .

Just popped back for update.... Where are you woman??????

OP posts:
Berrie · 29/10/2008 14:29

Mmm... am getting worried now...do you think she tripped over a cable and broke her collar bone? Was she called into the bosses office and given a telling off about Mumsnet while at work? Did her toyboy arrive behind a huge bouquet and announce he was in fact the Crown Prince of...somewhere and would she quit her job and be his Princess?

Seriously...Zeb...am worried you have injured yourself!

Where have you gone?

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 29/10/2008 21:00

Sorry I really honestly truly was snowed under at work today. 2 long meetings screws the rest of the day! And then I, errrm, decided to catch up on last night's Spooks.

I suppose I owe you guys a full and complete report after leaving you all day in suspense?

Wellll, we met up in the classy tart's boudoir bar, which was actually v nice, and had a couple of beers, chatted loads and had an all round very nice time. To be taking the piss out of me on a forth date is also pretty good going - so full marks to him. Yes, I know, but I'm odd like that. People who take me seriously just don't deserve the time of day in my book So all very funny, and loads of laughter.

Then... we walked back to mine through the mean streets of Truro, and it being a cold night and all, obviously lots of snuggly cuddling was absolutely necessary.

So obviously I invited him in..... to mend my window. I opened it 2 months ago and haven't been able to close it since. Brrrrr. But he did sort it, admirably - a stuck sash, which needed brawns not brains to close - marvellous - the real reason a girl needs a guy.

Obviously then lots of teenage-style cozying on the sofa

Then shall we go to an old-style Hollywood fade........?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 29/10/2008 21:06

Lights up, part 2!!!!
Actually, joking apart, shall we just say, we stayed on the sofa, lots happened, but all very well behaved, I'll thank you, ladies, with your smutty minds. (Berrie - I have to say you may be a perve, I'm still deciding ). So all I'll say is he's a little on the chubby side, but we weren't 100% naughty.

He also left by around 11.30 as he had to be in Falmouth for 8am for a meeting, and after all, he is still an accountant! But it was all absolutely lovely, and he's very lovely. I'm not sure I'm at the loved up stage, but I do have a very happy smile on my face, and I'm in an inordinately good mood.

Sooo, was that worth the wait? Obviously, Friday night is this ball, and i'm not quite sure when I'm seeing him again as the only night I'm in next week is Wednesday, and I'm out Thursday and Friday night this week. Saturday is DS night. Me playing hard to get? Darlings, I AM hard to get.

But I have offered to cook him dinner on Sunday night after DS has gone back to his pa.

Right, time to watch the rest of Spooks! Then maybe a reasonably early night.
