...... do you realise we've been chatting now for almost 18months .

Berrie, thankyou for the very kind offer to mug your children. It's much appreciated .
Tbh the car only cost £150 last year so it's reached the end of it's days I'm afraid - we need to get another one.

I know the feeling though - I think I've done really well at the shops sometimes, but try as I might I can't get it below £100 a week. Must Try Harder.

Aaaaaww! So glad you had a lovely evening .

By God, you have a busy social life Zeb! I can understand now how you struggled in the middle of nowhere.

Berrie · 30/10/2008 07:41

I'm just glad that you are not in traction having tripped over that cable! Glad that you had a lovely time Zeb!

Berrie · 30/10/2008 07:44

God I hate mornings now we have school...gotta get dressed, get them dressed and washed, teeth etc...find ds's drink thing, find shoes...feed toast brush dd's looong tangled hair with screaming, find keys...better get on!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/10/2008 09:29

You should get staff Berrie, then you could be a lady of leisure.

Berrie · 30/10/2008 09:50

Now there is an idea...

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 30/10/2008 14:52

I'm picturing you now. Laid out on your chaise longue, peeled grapes and a glass of champagne in your elegant conservatory, Wearing something gloriously diaphenous, whilst Nanny sees to the children's tea in the nursery, cook is creating a magnificent dinner in the kitchens and Oggs and Zebs are slaving away as the lowly paid kitchenmaids, blacking grates and suchlike.

Berrie · 31/10/2008 07:22

Better than the way I was picturing you the other night!!

oggsfrog · 31/10/2008 07:31

tsk. Smut first thing in the morning!

I have yet another bloody stinking cold and have to go shoppping this morning.

OP posts:
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 31/10/2008 07:44

Get Berrie to send her staff for you - and I thought a bit of smut on a cold morning would cheer you up and make you forget about your cold.

Berrie - I don't own anything diaphenous and it was a manky old sofa, not a chaise longue
Cinderella's off to the ball tonight, tra la la la laaaa

Berrie · 31/10/2008 09:27

What kind of dancing does one do in yer ball gown?

Oggs poor you Jeeves is on his way with a feather bed, bottle of whiskey a dvd and some chocolate biscuits.

I have just one more thing to say...

NITS!

I had them a couple of times as a teacher. Once I did the chemical thing. Second I did the combing thing but each time I couldn't actually see them on me. Poor Ds's hair is full of them I noticed last night. We were up until quarter to 9 combing and combing but they won't come out. I suppose it's the egg cases? I spent £12 last night on combs and lotions which tured out to be glorified conditioners and now I read on here that what I need is a nitty gritty comb. DD is going to have o have a haircut...it's hard enough to just comb her hair let alone nit comb it. I am not amused...

Berrie · 31/10/2008 09:28

Oh yeah! One more thing. I told the teacher this morning and she wrinkled her nose and said urrrgh! Not at all sure about that!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 31/10/2008 13:41

Fastidious old moo. Hasn't she seen a kid with nits before?!

So, are you giving him a chavvy buzz cut?

Berrie · 31/10/2008 15:47

Not if I can get them out with this Nitty Gritty comb.
DD is an entirely different matter though! I shouldn't joke though. I once had a girl in my class with waist length hair. One morning she turned up with it all shaved off because of nits. Poor thing.

oggsfrog · 31/10/2008 17:10

Don't talk to me about headlice. Sheesh. I'm just about getting on top of them, after months of the little bastards.

Zeb, have a spiffing time tonight at the ball what ho! .

Berrie · 31/10/2008 17:19

Yeah...remember to be back before midnight...oh yes...and in my (hugely limited) experience new men are like buses...they all come at once so have fun!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 31/10/2008 17:32

You mean a certain recently divorced partner in a law firm, to go with my toyboy partner in an accountancy practice? What else do I need for the full set?

Don't worry, there were pumpkins in the office today so I have one of those, and if I have a word with DH I'm certain I can obtain both mice and rats. I guess this makes my friend with the tickets the fairy godmother?

I shall, of course, report back. Right, I've done the face pack, nails and hair. Now time to attack the warpaint... this could take some time.

Re nits - what about detol? DH swears by it for anything and everything!

Berrie · 01/11/2008 08:49

Soooooo Cinders...how did it go?

The nitty Gritty comb worked wonders...worth every penny!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 01/11/2008 11:49

A pretty good evening. Terrible ball but a good table and a good bunch of people. So I'm feeling a little the worse for wear. But I looked fab (natch!) and I was very well behaved, thank you.

Berrie · 03/11/2008 12:58

Glad you had fun Zeb.

How is your cold Oggs?

oggsfrog · 03/11/2008 13:46

Still a bit sniffly, but much better thanks Berrie .

Combed dd's hair last night and found fully grown lice , so she's picked them up again off somebody. Will have to start from scratch. Am sick to death of the buggers.

How ds? Presumably you're having to comb ddand yourself as well as ds. Must be a pain with all that long hair.

Zeb, glad you had a god time. How full is your social calendar this week?

Lyra's not been around for ages.

Berrie · 03/11/2008 14:15

They came out od ds's hair a treat once I used the nitty gritty comb. As his hair is fair the eggs are really easy to see. Dd doesn't appear to have them which is a blessing but I'm sure I still have them. I tried to do my own hair, Dh sat and did it on Saturday night but I'm still itchy. I suppose that I need to get some chemicals but I don't think that they kill the eggs o they?

Am slightly gutted today. They have decided not to film me...I must have been really crap
I had bought some new makeup for a natural rather than out on the razz look.

oggsfrog · 03/11/2008 16:15

Surely the real reason they decided not to use you was that they were worried that you would be setting impossibly high standards, and that the trainees would see such perfection and realise there was no point in even trying to attain such heights, and would give up before they even started??

Berrie · 03/11/2008 22:02

Oggs, you are a star, I hadn't thought of it that way!

Guess what, I've just signed up for a musical theatre choir and been to my first session. We did a Les Mis one, a Witches of eastwick one and a Barry Manilow one. It was a bit scary to start with but lots of fun!

oggsfrog · 04/11/2008 07:22

Oh that sounds like fun Berrie .

Which Les Mis one did you do? I love Les Mis.

There's no way I could join a choir, although I did hear of a choir called The Feral Choir where it didn't mattter if you could hold a tune, it was just for the sheer enjoyment of belting them out.
That sounds more up my street .
