Hello all ,
Oh dear and I thought it was my hormones all over the place. I will try and post pics of little one but am not good at all this uploading stuff. I lost all e mail addresses when dh crashed the computer and only have Francas.
Tantik I cried regularly when I heard heartbeat and when at gynae alone - I think it was also due to the underlying stress of MIL, Dh working hard and him being stressed as he was trying to take care of me and not doing well !!!
I would like to be in the Uk - I think but then I get this impression that the grass is always greener on the otherside. So if we were in the Uk I would have to work 24/7 - mind you the way this credit crunch is going I might just have to anyway. But I miss space, parks, supermarkets, green spaces and people who can queue
DD2 had a better night I have to confess we have given her milicom as after 2 nights of screaming I was in tears as I couln't help her and she was so upset depsite massage .Walking round - over dh arm , etc (Paed gave it to her BTW). Last night it was only 2 1/2 hrs between 2 - 5 am so better.
I do enjoy 'our' moments and she does have some lovely facial expressions she is being spoilt by dh now as she has been in his arms for the last 2 hrs - every time i go there is an excuse whey she is still there hiccups, little colic etc!!!
Finally my stitches seem to be healing but last night of all things emorroidi turned up- I had them after birth but thought they had vanished so via con una cosa e arriva un altra !
Brang does your dd wake and want pipi ?
Oh and BTW dd1 caca problem vanished - it co incided with me being in hosp and Emily arriving so I guess it was all stress related ( guilt emotion)
Aloe Vera thankfully I have lots after holiday in Gran Can and have been spashing it on - dd2 hates the taste so have to wash boobs before feeding !!!!

PippiCalzelunghe · 16/11/2008 23:29

Oh rosa... you make me broody already (except for the all night crying and piles (had them too after dd2 - not not not nice at all) that is ). how's dd1? is she okay with her little sister? I'm going to my dad from the 26th to the 1st. hopefully I'll make it to venice - I so want to!
franca forward my email address to rosa if you still have it.

hot we should def meet up. btw I saw 'our' duncan bannatyne on the telly today and I thought he looked really dishevelled (sp) and I wondered how ever we found him attractive - must be the accent, don't you think?

hothell · 17/11/2008 09:46

Did i fancy d bannantyne? Must have been the raging hormones of the pregnancy, that's my excuse anyway.
Ohh, Rosa i want a fresh newborn tooooo, but no way we are having more babies.....
Will try and find your email pippi....
Lots of chores today, and i all i want to do is og back to bed with a book...

francagoestohollywood · 17/11/2008 11:11

Ok, shall I forward email addresses? I have Brangelina, Rosa. Hot (I think) and Pippi.

Rosa, don't worry about Milicon, ds has ingested so much Milicon in his first 3 months... Your dd is just adorable!
For piles I do recommend proctosedyl (not sure about spelling).

Yes I miss people willing to cue as well. Another thing I hate here is when they don't let people get off first from metropolitana. It does my head in.

I'm listening to the verve (the old cd from the late 90s) and feel all nostalgic for the UK (just like when I was in the UK and listened to Battiato... )

TantiK · 17/11/2008 13:49

Thanks for the soothing words. We have our 2nd scan on friday, but I don't want to find out the sex, dh does. We'll see if I am strong enough this time around (I caved the first time!). Lovely to hear about the newborn - I get moments of nervousness about the whole newborn thing again - but tend to forget about the general cuddliness of them! You've made me excited again! thanks!

We went up to the snow this weekend to do a bit of sledging with the children (my BIL is here atm) - it was lovely, and we even popped over to Madonna di Campiglio for a hot chocolate. yum. That's something they do well here in Italy - lovely hot chocolate.

For those interested parties - my move to Trentino was all part of a money saving excercise so dh has moved into a small monolocale in Roma and is intending on moving up here asap. It is just down to finding a job now...it would be so great to have him here every day (I think ).

Sputnik · 17/11/2008 15:19

You know TantiK, when I was pg with no.2 I was dreading it and wishing I could just be handed a 2 year old. Instead I have really enjoyed the babyness this time round, he's 17 months now so not much left! In fact he has fallen asleep on me right now and I don't want to go and put him down.

Rosa go for it with the milicon. Fennel tea is also good, theres also some stuff called colimil which is basically concentrated fennel and cammomile. Leg cycling is good too. Hope the nights are going better.

My email is sputnikinspace at gmail.com, can someone forward me a pic

PippiCalzelunghe · 17/11/2008 15:22

hmmm italian hot chocholate... yes that's one thing I miss. even dh is a convert.

franca forward my email address freely please.

hot don't remember if you were pregnant then... I certainly was though so maybe you are right is the hormones .

francagoestohollywood · 17/11/2008 15:25

Hi Tantik, sounds like you had a lovely time this weekend sledging and drinking hot chocolate! Fingers crossed for your dh to find a job nearer you all. I really like Trentino, I think I told you before, but I used to go quite often skiing in Folgarida etc and I have very fond memories of the area (especially of the krapfen in a particular rifugio on the slopes).

Like you I used to dread the baby stage when pg with my second, mostly because my first had been a very colicky, demanding baby, but dd turned out to be very laid back and she was so tiny (broody emoticon). All the best for your scan

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 17/11/2008 15:26

will do sputnik...

and stop making me broody, all of you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (thinking of sputnik with lovely ds asleep on her lap)

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 17/11/2008 15:28

OK, shall I forward the email I got from rosa to sput, hot pippi etc? then you can write to her sho she has your address?
Is that ok rosa?

OP posts:
PippiCalzelunghe · 17/11/2008 15:53

I used to dread the baby stage as well when pg with dd2, because dd1 was so good I thought I was in for real trouble. it wasn't to be. now I think I should not even consider no 3 as the odds says it will be hell.

looking forward to pics.

at trentino... which I adore. used to dream of marrying a sky instructor and move there for ever (age 12).

francagoestohollywood · 17/11/2008 18:36

Pippi, are you planning a n.3?

OP posts:
Rosa · 17/11/2008 18:40

Franca please send on - I have sent pics to SPutnik am happy to use my e mail address as well as we all know each other now.
Tantik good luck for Friday and close your eyes when they get to its nether regions!!! Take hankies just incase the hormones rise up again !!!Good luck with your dh finding a job so he can be near you.
taken DD2 for ecosonder thing for her ears and we only got to 95% in her right ear again - So we know she can hear but they have to give is 100% for an all clear so now we will have to go to mestre where they have more sophisticated equipment. It could just be that she has a narrow ear canal for now. But we got 100% in her left.
Last night was a good night so long may it last .
Saw a pg friend and half of me thought well that won't be me again and half thought oh how sad -But thinking back this pg was a bit uppity at times-so I better just enjoy this baby stage !!

PippiCalzelunghe · 17/11/2008 19:33

franca dunno... sometimes I am sometimes I am not... depends on how the kids behave and whether I can lend my body to this thing for another year and a half (not a fan of being pg tbh). dh is def NOT planning no 3 but that could be easily resolved . (by power of persuasion I mean obviously).

rosa it's so nic to hear from you, can't wait to see pics. I'll forward some of my dds then.

Sputnik · 17/11/2008 20:47

Got the photos Rosa, she's lovely. I'd love another newborn to snuggle but a) I couldn't stand being pg again and maybe my cervix couldn't either, b) I am past it c) DH would faint

So anyway, I'll have to content myself with cooing over other poeple's babies, I am going to end up like one of those old ladies in the supermarket.

PippiCalzelunghe · 17/11/2008 21:19

rosa, sputnik send away at villavillacolle at bt internet dot com.

thanks. looking forward

PippiCalzelunghe · 17/11/2008 21:46

PS: bought loads of playmobil off ebay for dd1 for xmas (modern house, pirate ship, various people and things, knights' castle to play wiith my dad). Please tell me I am not mean to get my little girl second hand toys for xmas...

Sputnik · 17/11/2008 21:49

I have been thinking about doing that myself. We went in a toyshop the other day and DD was eyeing the playmobil, but it's bloody ££.

So, anyway, I think you're being sensible. You're saving money and the environment

PippiCalzelunghe · 17/11/2008 22:06

you've said it sputnik! I like the idea of things being reused and be loved again and also not ending up on a landfill. and don;t let me started with all this packaging... [holy green emoticon]!
she's only three, she won't know the difference. or will she? I reckon soon enough this will be impossible to do. (my italian friends will be horrified!) while dh, who was really against it when dd1 was born is now a semi-convert (maybe because with the money we save he can buy himself a mega tv ?)

still guilty a bit though...

francagoestohollywood · 18/11/2008 12:54

No, Pippi, don't feel guilty! You are doing the right thing and I'd do the same, if I wasn't a complete technophobe and scared by ebay! (and facebook). She won't be able to tell the difference. Make a nice pacchetto, in her fav colour, choose a nice fiocco and it'll be amazing.
I don't buy big presents for the dc, and despite this, they seem to own lots of staff (I blame our relatives).
OK will forward rosa's pics. I don't have gio's and tantik's address though and my CAT facility has expired.

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 18/11/2008 12:59

have forwarded rosa's email.

rosa, what's this udito thing? I didn't get it for mine

OP posts:
PippiCalzelunghe · 18/11/2008 13:41

don;t feel guilty anymore as I've received the first set and they are absolutely perfect. no one could tell the difference. and I;m spared all that packaging. Oh... I cannot wait for xmas to play with it myself !
I always say I won;t buy them much and then I get a bit carried away, so this is my bit to help with the credit crunch.

going to check email now.

ps: got shouthed at and almos hit by a pensioner for parking a bit on the pavement (wrong I admit but late for nursery). I was shocked and speechless.

francagoestohollywood · 18/11/2008 13:50

Oh Pippi, that is awful!

OP posts:
PippiCalzelunghe · 18/11/2008 14:03

yes especially because it made me want to go and buy a packet of fag and smoked them all in one go!! (went to swimming pool instead).

Isn't emily absolutely she gorgeous. def make me broody now...
