IceCreamy · 14/02/2009 14:24

woke up this morning and swore today would be a healthy eating day.....then dh gave me not 1 but 2 boxes of chocs!! I will start the diet next week, as I cant fit into my work troos and will be screwed if they dont fit by end March.

Need to lose 2lb a week starting next week

that's 6 weeks exactly till I start work

just planned it out on a piece of paper.

worley · 14/02/2009 20:46

what did you eat??? was it that bad you had to take it off!!

we had sloppy joes for tea from the nigella feast book. ds1 loves it.
and had tomorrows stew slowly cooking so it can be reheated tomorrow for dinner as we are going to the district cubs/scouts camp site to help clear it/maintain it. it would otherwise just be left to grow wild but the land is owned by lord somerleyton and he allows the scouts to use it for free so long as they look after it, its been let to them for over 100 years. its really nice there. and the have a 2 day eventing comp there in sept which is really nice to walk the course.

Macdog · 15/02/2009 19:10

dh back at work today, so we are all knackered!
Potty training begins in earnest tomorrow, so please send positive vibes my way please

OP posts:
Jennster · 15/02/2009 21:39

Macdog, we've had 5 nights on the trot dry. Bless her though she wakes in terror of wetting the bed and won't use the potty in the night and just go to bed. She gets really upset first.

You'll do fine! You won't want any more advice, I'm sure you've read up loads on it. Can you give me some advice on getting dd to walk more? I swear my back is going to give way if I have to carry those children any more. Mind dd is a whole stone lighter than yours! Do you feed her girders?

Jennster · 15/02/2009 22:20

Worley. Remember you posted a link to a children's outdoor play area company. Swings, slides bridges etc? Don't suppose you can post the link again please. Dh has nagged me to ask you after I mentioned you told me about one. We have an area at the bottom of the garden which would be perfect for it.

Macdog · 16/02/2009 08:55

We are built tough up here - it's to keep out the cold!
The thing is, she's not fat - just solid muscle!

I don't drive, remember, so I walk everywhere. We are also only a few minutes from the town centre, so she has always pottered up and down to the shops.

Macdog · 16/02/2009 13:38

Potty training progressing well. No pees in potty yet, but she's sitting on it for AAAAGAES at a time

Oh, yes! I shall be updating you more than you ever wanted to now....I'm BOOOOORED!!!

my god I am listening to the news about that poor little girl who had a terrible fear of dentists and she starved herself this country is bloody hopeless at looking after children.

that story with Alfie, the baby face father, too. dreadful for the baby, and those baby-parents, (13 and 15yrs)but with a family far more cynical than the media anticipated, they now have Max Clifford representing them....

and the couple who had the 2yr old they beat up and never took to the doctor. Where are social services? what is going on with people?

IceCreamy · 16/02/2009 14:31

well done Macdog, she sounds like she is well on the way. one of the biggest hurdles I had with dd was getting her on the potty in the 1st place!!!

now she does everything on the toilet just fine. very occasionally has bit wet pants, but no big deal. she is so busy playing she cant be bothered to go to loo till she is really desperate!!
she is tending to be dry at night too, I still use a nappy for nap time and night time and for long car journeys, but they are always dry. I will give it another few months then go without at naps, then without thru the night..

IceCreamy · 16/02/2009 15:04

ok I will do this a bit more carefully

go to foodfocus.co.uk it is fabulous. and it counts 'childcare' as exercise wey-hey!!!

just ruined mine though by eating 12 (yes...a whole box) of Thorntons bloody addictive choc. shortbread pieces. 76g of fat!!!!!! outrageous!!

Macdog · 16/02/2009 19:05

at fat content of that!!

day 1 went well. Apart from my Cabin Fever being stuck in ruddy house all day
Nipped out for a quick sprint to the shop when dh came home, so feeling a bit better

Look see what perezHilton put on his website re facebook

We're so glad we've never uploaded any of our stuff onto Facebook!

You Facebook users are SCREWED.

Did you know that everything you've loaded up into your profile (personal pictures, etc.) belongs to Facebook, even after you've closed your account?

That's what it says in the Terms of Service you agreed to when you opened your account, apparently.

The Consumerist recently uncovered this disturbing info and it's causing quite a stir.

So, what does this mean?

Basically, Facebook can do whatever the hell they want with YOUR STUFF.

And, they can do so WITHOUT your permission.

For example, they can license your personal pictures out to companies, make a shizzle of money and don't have to give you a dime.

Sounds really, really shitty and sooo shady!!!!!

link to my fearing FB thread!

Jennster · 16/02/2009 22:32

Oh I didn't mean to imply your dd was fat Macdog Dd is very petite, and ds isn't. There is less than a kg difference between the two.

worley · 17/02/2009 09:53

lol!
it's quite funny not being on here for a few days then trying to catch up with what everyone has put. i dont think macdog thought you were impying about her dd jenn, i thought she was shocked about the biscuits icecreamy had eaten??
i cant remember the name of the play eq. but im sure the boys wont mind if i wonder down to the park later with them to look it up. the label is still on the equipment.
still no aunt flo! if not arrived by friday then im going to the doctors. im convinving myself there is something seriously wrong with me. i looked up absent periods on the nhs site and it came back as suggesting polycystic overy syndrome.im such a hyperchondriac.

worley · 17/02/2009 09:59

im going mad with 2 ds's here. tomorrow im taking ds2 to nursery for the morning as he is "doin' me 'ead in" as fast as i tidy up he tips his lego out again and laughs!!!i have my friends ds tomorrow morning as she has no childcare for the morning while she is at work. dont know how that will go as her ds is very annoying to ds1, he is a year younger than ds1 and doesnt seem as mature maybe as ds1 was last year at the same age. last time i had him last year he came in and said to me "ds1 hit me" so when i said well why did he hit you? (as unusal for ds1 to hit anyone)he replied "because i hit him first"!!!

i dont see why children should have school holidays really

Macdog · 17/02/2009 10:11

I didn't think you sad she was fat - stop worrying!
She is just tall and heavy

I keep telling her to be a supermodel when she grows up - as long as she takes me everywhere she goes!

OP posts:
worley · 17/02/2009 13:37

the ones ate our park are playdale but im not sure if they were the ones i posted? they may be a bit commercial, but i would want these! they look like fun
will search through my faves see if i saved it there...

worley · 17/02/2009 13:41

how sad am i i have a link for sheds they do little playhouses. i think i got the page from the little adverts from the back of mgazines like house beautifull or something like that. i cans earch my old diary out as i sit and read magazines like that in the theatre staff room while im waiting to get called in for an operation to get going. they have bundles of "posh" magazines i sit and look through see why i prefer being at work!!

IceCreamy · 17/02/2009 13:48

am loving foodfocus, so addictive to see my little calorie and exercise graphs!!!! and all kinds of housework counts as exercise, but really gardening burns the most. more gardening this afternoon then!

we just met my friends at the park and looked at the pigs...all I could smell thru lunch was pig poo so just stripped dd and I and changed outfits. pigpoo smell finally gone!
