Jennster · 10/02/2009 20:44

Oh gosh Worley. Hope you get the result you want.

worley · 10/02/2009 21:07

thankyou, i have calmed down now, typically dp isn't home till tomorrow at 4pm then i have to go right out of the door as i start at 5pm. im kind of hoping its a false positive , if you do get them, i think its more of a false negative which is more likely though. do you do tests at your work jenn?

oh well, whats meant to be is meant to be! im really tired as well! and my tonsils are the size of golf balls, so will have some squash and go to bed.

worley · 10/02/2009 21:16

i had fallen asleep on the setee watching that drs and nurses at war thing whihc was interesting, then the phone rang at 8.50pm and was a weird number i didnt recognise, i have a feeling it may have been dp's brother as their baby is due sat on valentines day, but by the time i got the courage up to answer it they had gone. we dont normally get cold callers at that time of night, and i treid to ring it back but number not recognised!
Emmas diary rang me this eve to talk about their website and some offers they had, (an omen??) i didnt know i had registered my phone number with them! will go look and see if i can remove it now.

thankyou for listening to my rant earlier

Jennster · 10/02/2009 21:33

Worley I don't want to worry you, but it's unusual to get a false positive. Far more likely to get a false negative. That said I've had a line in the result box when I wasn't pregnant, when I accidentally 'spilled' on the result box when I was peeing.

We don't do testing in this branch. When we did they were Clearblue. Some are more sensitive than others and so are more likely to give you a positive result (if you are actually pregnant) earlier than others. I think First Response is a good early one.

Macdog · 11/02/2009 09:10

Fingers crossed Worley.

OP posts:
worley · 11/02/2009 12:32

yay macdog!

so i did 2 tests this morning and both were negative, i used the dip stick method instead of peeing on the stick, maybe thats what gave me a positive result yesterday like jenn had said. thanks for listening to me gabber on yesterday

i do feel rubbish today though, tonsils all swollen and i ache all over, so have sat ds2 down to watch some tv, he wanted toy story 2 again, (he watched toystory every day this week) and maybe he can be persuaded to have a nap later on. i have to be at work for 5pm till 10pm though. and have to cook dinner for the troops before i go or they will just have crap for tea!

So excited!!handled a Golden Eagle today for the first time ever!!!

Pic on Twit

OP posts:
worley · 11/02/2009 23:05

i was amazed how big that eagle was, youyre braver than me, when i worked at the vets years ago we used to treat a big falconry bird (i cant remember what she was ) and she was called maggie, but she was evil and wpould go for us every time we went near her, she knew we would do nasty things to her i think. she was fine with her handler though.

so, jenn, explain what a golden eagle is then, 'cause i must be naive and only know the bird version!

Jennster · 12/02/2009 08:15

So glad you only got one line Worley.

I only found out on here the other day. It's when you are so drunk, the effects of Norovirus plus a weak pelvic floor, all at the same time. Disgusting, and something young men are proud of apparently.

IceCreamy · 12/02/2009 11:50

jenn i dont understand that post??
what are young men proud of?

IceCreamy · 12/02/2009 11:52

Jennster · 13/02/2009 21:15

Icecream have you tried Ashton and Parson's teething powders? They're very good.

worley · 13/02/2009 23:03

just finished making a malteser cake for dp for valnetines (im a cheap skate!) and lots of biscuits that i cut made using a heart cookire cutter and iced them with red edging. he did had a box of roses but he ate them already.

did you ever have "jack valentine" visit you were you were little? we were talking about this at work and we think it must be a local thing as the people not from our area as children had never heard of him
on valantines day evening there would be a knock at the door and when the children would open the front door there would be no one there but a little present from jack valentine. he brought me my first proper pait of roller skate boots when i was little, blue ones with a rainbow on the side! so, tomorrow jack valentine will leave ds1 and ds2 some ben10 sweets and things. nothing major!

Macdog · 14/02/2009 09:20

Jack Valentine??? Never 'eard of 'im!

we don't do Valentines in this house
