Hoorah! buffy back to being funny. No thought provoking intro sub-plot thing, but still lots of references to the hell mouth and bad stuff about to happen, and Willow's not all better. What fun!

Loved it when Dawn fell off the sofa. She's much less whingy this series, thank goodness. Not enough Spike action though.

I simply can't believe in the Angel/Cordy lerve thang, especially after Buffy. Or Fred and Gunn. Think Wesley and Lilah are a good combination though.

Yup - Dawn crash v funny. Monster suitably yukky (although a bit like those learn to read advert gremlins) Gwen v good. Wish they'd hurry up and rescue Cordelia and get Spike sane again though. They're such good characters.

Anyone think they're setting up Xander and Buffy to be an item this season? There seem to be getting mistaken for a couple quite frequently of late.

Could we love Spike anymore? Spike self harming on the cross to dull the voices telling him to go to hell had such pathos. He is a beautifully written character. My dh doesn't get it, which is annoying and I have to watch friends instead of angel at 9.

milkbar - take control! Friends gets repeated about 11 the same night so either make him stay up late or set the video recorder - what he is doing is tantamount to psychic abuse.

Finding Buffy a bit boring at the moment, only watching for Spike to warm up. Angel I am sure is going to be as good as ever.

Fine Demented thanks. Been rather busy, decorating, new baby, toddler, christmas, 2 ponies, new pc so back on line now and again.

I too am glad that soooo many of you are Buffy fans. My sister used to watch it and so we'd have long chats afterwards but she gave up long ago and it's so hard not to spend the next couple of hours after it trying to make my dh understand the importance of every single scene.

I hope Spike does sort himself but I'd like to see him and Buffy together(even after everything that happened last series.

Who would you prefer Spike or Zander? Obvioulsy just round for coffee!!!!!

Will someone please tell me if Channel 4 will ever show series 3 of Angel? I have Series 1 and 2 on video (couldn't wait for DVD version!), but want to see Series 3 on tv, as I don't have the money to 'waste' on buying the videos now...

Spike for me every time... mind you if they're going to insist on crap hair cuts and insane Spike the whole season, and keep making Xander all studley like, I may well change my mind...

I agree that Angel does win hands down but for me only when he is just that little bit evil!!

Spike does have a manly quality that Zander lacks but he is, as you say GeorginaA, very studley just now.

I admit that I am NO LONGER in love with Angel - after years of secret lust. He's just too bloaty now. Old young Angel (IFYKWIM), now he's a different matter.....drool.

I have just been watching Angel series one and two, he is not that same in this series.
