I cannot believe it's that hot there. we still have duvet here and long sleeves etc.

anyway franca seriously if you want me to keep the sat guardian magazine and the family inserto (which I love) tell me and can send it to you. honestly no problem at all.

Sputnik · 22/06/2008 18:28

God I hate that where they show the partita before a concert grrr. Especially if they go into extra time.

Although I haven't been to a concert in ages.

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 18:41

Oh gosh pippi, would you??? I so miss the family inserto, I used to read it while having breakfast (it took me a whole week to finish it . The magazine I used to read it in the bath tub, when the dc were asleep. And i miss charlie brooker's screen burn in the guide... wouldn't it be too expensive posting it? how could I repay you?

I've always kept my spring duvet in Exeter. It was quite cool at night even when it was "hot" during the day. I suppose English heat waves are my ideal weather, hot but not so hot, cool nights when you can snuggle up in the duvet. Pity there was no heat wave in exeter last year...

uff che palle the partita... I haven't been to a concert for ages. I think my last was lou reed's, 8 yrs ago I think.

Rosa · 22/06/2008 18:58

I saw Brian Ferry in the pala Fenice about 10 yrs ago and before that I don't think I can remember. DH is a bit annoyed purely as he is not a huge footy fan. I would have gone to see the POlice tonight if I had not been pg but am glad I am as I would not have coped with a 11pm start of a concert and then getting up with dd at 6.30 am.
The best Uk summer was 2006 - wonderful as you said hot but not too bad- lots of bbqs dd was too small for the beach but dh took her for walks in the pack. A reapeat in 2008 of the weather would be great!
Called Hotel in San Candido and its not too exp at all.....Lets see how dh is domani !

Yes, summer 2006 was great, I remember, we even had dinners in the garden! It was lovely.
I don't think I'd cope with a concert starting at 11 either...

Rosa · 22/06/2008 19:42

Oh madonna the noise of the partita is amazing - its blowing over from the concert area plus everybody has the tvs on and windows open..DD won't go to sleep

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 19:52

Oh no! Are you very close to the concert area? It is quite quiet here, the dc are asleep, I think... dh's at friends' to watch the game.

Rosa · 22/06/2008 19:56

No I am over the lagoon - The wind is blowing over I think . Mind you a few windows have closed as people put the ac on the humididty is creeping up. Last night we heard the start up of Vasco and then the thump thump in sort of waves . I would hate to live near there. DD dropping off I hope..She is still talking to her teddies !

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 20:19

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 20:46

Pippi you are a sweetie. Of course I'll buy you a drink . Yes, children love post offices, don't they. (english post offices, I must add, as in Italy people working in po are usually grumpy)

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/06/2008 20:47

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/06/2008 20:51

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 20:53

Thank you so much... I must say I feel a bit ...

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 20:53

did you go see mio fratello e' figlio unico at the end?

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/06/2008 21:12

don't be silly, I'd hate not to have all the sunday papers...I buy three every weekend, that last me all week.

yes both addresses will work. better the one that hasn't got my name though as I look at it more often.

no haven't been. it's only shown in few movies which are quite far. will wait to get in on dvd - l've signed up to one of these services that send them home.

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 21:15

Sent to both addresses!
I so envy the dvd mail rental thingy, I really miss it here.

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 21:18

I can hear people watching the match. men and football. che sfigati.

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/06/2008 21:26

don't they do that in italy?

I've got a movie with jennifer aniston that I want to watch but as we only have one tv at the moment I never get round to it. next week l'll be able to go off on my own with a bowl of cereal and yogurt and have my girly night.

what's italy doing? I won't tell\ you what dh is watching as it's worse than the footy !

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 21:32

No. I think a company tried it, but being italy too many dvds got "lost" in the mail....................... che paese di merdaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.

which movie with jennifer aniston. I still like her a lot. poor jen.

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 21:32

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 21:32

PippiCalzelunghe · 22/06/2008 21:36

francagoestohollywood · 22/06/2008 21:48

Sputnik · 22/06/2008 22:33
