Thanks you. Lovely cake Zeb.
I was out at a book launch till after midnight last night and up at 5.30 for work so as you can imagine I'm feeling a little tired...
I've brought a box of Mr Kipling mini Victoria sponges in with me.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 04/09/2008 13:07

Mr Kipling sounds like a great way to celebrate.
So spill. What was the book, who was the author, and more importantly, who did you schmooze with?
I stayed in and watch the new Jane Austen thing. It was hysterical and definitely worth watching.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2008 13:10

The book's called Gym and Tonic by Emma Burstall, the wife of DP's colleague, a Mirror columnist. Didn't schmooze with anyone famous (well, not very).

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2008 13:13

Or rather, Gym and Slimline. I keep getting that wrong.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 04/09/2008 16:36

I think Gym and tonic sounds much better.

Right, gonna go home soon as my new boss is doing my head in. However, I'm going to attempt to access the internet from home again, so fingers crossed.

oggsfrog · 04/09/2008 18:41

How's today gone Lyra? Are you finished for the day now? Hope you have a lovely evening.
Get any good pressies?

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2008 18:49

No pressies yet, waiting for DP to come home. He's bringing a take-out from Yo! Sushi and a bottle of wine hopefully. I'm blimmin' knackered.

oggsfrog · 04/09/2008 18:53

I bet you are. Are you putting your feet up? Presumably not if DP is out. Will the boys be eating with you?

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2008 19:04

No, I'm currently killing time looking forward to a hellish joyful bathtime. Sigh. DP will be back in time to help put them to bed.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2008 19:05

Stoopid strike-out didn't work. Bah.

oggsfrog · 04/09/2008 19:12

Do they get a bath every night? We can only bath if we've had the burner on all day to heat the water, so we usually only get 1 a week.

LyraSilvertongue · 04/09/2008 19:15

Roughly every other night. I'd skip it but they're both a bit grubby, especially DS2's feet. And he needs his hair washed. Sigh again. Right, I need to get going.

oggsfrog · 04/09/2008 19:42

Have a nice evening

Berrie · 05/09/2008 07:31

Morning all!
Happy Birthday for yesterday Lyra (Berrie passes over belated bunch of flowers and a small gift of posh smellies)
I was out early to London for a tutor meeting and then flopped on the sofa until dh sent me to bed.

Speak to you later..dd needs a cuddle.

oggsfrog · 05/09/2008 07:38

Morning - I wondered where you were .

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 05/09/2008 09:33

Morning ladies! Being a kind, thoughtful Zeb, I'm sending you all the terrible rain we had overnight and first thing this morning. . Don't say I never give you anything.
One of my colleagues has just brought in this week's Now magazine, which has some pictures of Lee and DvO all loved up. It seems current gossip is she's in the club - come on Berrie, we need you to speak to MFL'sF!
And hurrah! I got internet access at home last night. I just couldn't for the life of me remember my login, so I couldn't share the joy. I'll try again later.

Enjoy the weather.

Berrie · 05/09/2008 10:49

Ringing him now...

Berrie · 05/09/2008 10:53

No answer, though I got a missed call from him last night...

Thanks for the rain you cow! I had visions of our invigorating walks up to school in the crisp autumn sunshine, kicking up the leaves. We keep having to do in the car.

HELP! I am going to be filmed next month doing the tutoring for a DVD that will go to all schools in 2009. How many stones does the camera add?

Berrie · 05/09/2008 10:54

p.s. just finished the box of chocolate biscuits I bought for ds's Friday lunch box treat(felt a bit sorry for him when he tells me what the other kids have)
Knew it wouldn't last

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 05/09/2008 13:39

Cow?! How very dare you!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 07/09/2008 11:07

Look at me. Sunday morning and I'm online. Hurrah! And now I've discovered Facebook which is proving very addictive.

Berrie · 07/09/2008 12:49

Hurrah!
I never did get into facebook actually!
Uh oh...dd needs napppy changing....

LyraSilvertongue · 07/09/2008 13:56

Zeb, is your facebook pic a pic of DS? Can I add you as a friend?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 07/09/2008 14:16

Of course you can - did you find me then? Can I be your friend too?!
The reason his hands are blue is he was painting - and that's an old work shirt he's wearing.

Berrie · 07/09/2008 16:36

Ooooo Lyra and Zeb are special friends...
