Ooh, how exciting Zeb

Don't get what you mean about David Tennant...

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 01/09/2008 16:40

Watch the dvd of the tv series Blackpool from a couple of years back. Then you'll know what I mean.

oggsfrog · 01/09/2008 19:58

What's it about?

oggsfrog · 02/09/2008 12:30

Hellooooooooooooo.... where are you all? What are you up to?

I'm battling bloody headlice... again .

Zeb are you going to try and get tickets for Hamlet?

Lyra, anything planned for your birthday? Are you working during the day or the evening?

Berrie, Ds still enjoying school? What type of chickens have you got again? I need to decide what breed to go for when we cull this mangey lot.

Berrie · 02/09/2008 13:32

Hello. Here I am!
Ds is enjoying school but is very reluctant to go in of a morning. I cried afterwards yesterday as he would not let go of me again.

My chickens are pic a mix from the breeder who sold them. They are hybrids that she has given names to I think rather than known hybrids.

I went back to Dr with my 'Manky tit' yesterday. She wanted to send me back to the breast unit for an ultrasound but since I can't be doing wih all that, I'm about to die stuff again, we agreed to try antibiotics for a week. She's given me these enormous horse pills

Also while we are on a health theme (who else but me would rattle on about it) the mini pill I've started taking seems to be working. I should be a raving loon this week but the house is tidy and I am on top of things. Also I have cake biscuits and chocolates in the house that I am just not interested in eating and I've cut down on the alcohol just 'cause I don't fancy it...don't want to jinx myself but I'd say I'm becoming more normal!

Berrie · 02/09/2008 13:36

Oh yeah... birthday meal...I had rack of lamb with a mini shepherds pie because it sounded an unusual combination but it was just as stupid as it sounded! The lamb was beautiful but the shepherds pie was just silly. It was toooooo hot to eat much but we had a complementary cup of pumpkin and sweetcorn soup and I only had room for a delicious coffee and a large brandy.
It had been so hot and humid that I had an enoooorrrrrmous and frightening asthma attack when I got home which rather spoiled the mood but we still had a lovely evening.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 02/09/2008 15:39

Yum yum And I'm glad you're feeling better Berrie, you certainly sound a lot perkier! But what's going on with the manky tit now? Are the horse tablets working?

Oggs, yes I'm going to try to get tickets for Hamlet, but I'm not sure how as I'm not going to be anywhere near a pooter next Friday. And Blackpool is basically about an amusement arcade owner (David Morissey), his dodgy dealings, a murder and DT investigating it. It's funny and entertaining and they keep breaking into song (in a good way). DT also gets the hots for DM's wife.

Berrie · 02/09/2008 16:24

Nothing new Zeb, it's just still discoloured and I don't like it. There is still a hard vein thingy as well. I'll let you know if anything changes as a result of the horse pills.

oggsfrog · 02/09/2008 19:31

I didn't know you were asthmatic too Berrie. It's a pian isn't it?
Rack of lamb and shepherds pie does sound an odd combi... both lamb I suppose. Not that I'd turn my nose up at anything at the moment.
Had to battle a huge urge to eat custard creams earlier.
Hope the antibiotics sort out your manky boob.

We're still having probs with the sodding internet connection. Don't know who's fault it is, or whether it's just something we've got to expect living in the arse end of beyond .

What happened with your pooter access in the evenings Zeb. Did you not manage to get it working?

Berrie · 03/09/2008 07:20

Well done for resisting the custard creams!

I still have onopened chocolates in the fridge Kitkats and malted milks in the cupboard Very very odd for me!

oggsfrog · 03/09/2008 07:32

Sounds like the mini pill is having a positive effect. At last! Light at the end of the tunnel .
It was hell last night on the biscuit front, after the near-miss with the custard creams the bourbons started up a siren song .
I managed to abstain though and feel very proud that I did as the scales have registered another drop this morning after being stuck at 12st 8ish for ages .

Ooh, had a lovely dream last night that I was in a play with David Tennant - we were in a classroom rehearsing, then he took me out for lunch. While we were walking up the street we met his Mum and she gave me a hug, then we went back to the classroom where I set my high-heeled boots and gypsy skirt on fire and burnt my foot. He rubbed some cream onto the blister for me . Bizarre!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/09/2008 08:54

His mum?! I'm sure Freud would have a field day!

Well, internet access is still not happening. I have the 'dongle' but apparently the imac is too old to be compatible. Luckily, one of my new clients is an IT support company, so I'm giving them the full info today to find out if there's anything I can do in terms of upgrades, or if it's a waste of time and I need to get a newer pc or whatever - so if anyone has an old one....?

But last night was fab! Having been woken at 4.30am yesterday by DS I spent most of yesterday like a zombie. So I put DS to bed at the same time as me (7pm) in my bed. Oh bliss.

Berrie · 03/09/2008 09:29

Just had a kitkat!

Berrie · 03/09/2008 09:30

I can barely remember 12 stone 8

oggsfrog · 03/09/2008 10:20

Sorry Zeb. No old pcs here. Hope you sort something out.
I remember in the dream being very impressed that DT had introduced me to his parents so to speak and took it as a sign that our relationship had moved on a stage . Pah! You're just jealous

Berrie weight isn't everything though is it? That top you very kindly sent me was far too tight at the time - must try it on again .

Berrie · 03/09/2008 11:14

I don't have to DREAM of meeting DT though Oggs!

oggsfrog · 03/09/2008 11:19

Oh......oh.....oh........ BUM! to you .

oggsfrog · 03/09/2008 11:20
ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/09/2008 14:23

You ladies need taking in hand!

Did you see the articles about WI Lite in the paper at the weekend? We're so excited in the office we think we're going to set up our own one here in Cornwall. I've just emailed them for more info.

oggsfrog · 03/09/2008 15:07

Zeb, sounds like a great idea.
'For instance I discovered I have a real knack for drawing men?s buttocks.'

We have the Scottish Women's Rural Institute up here which I presume is similar.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/09/2008 15:17

She's just emailed me back. Apparently she's had 12 further enquiries. We're now plucking up the courage to approach the official Cornish WI Ladies.....

And don't be so naughty! I've got the dvd at home of the last Dr Who. Ah bless. And the next one is Hugh's latest. Sigh.....

oggsfrog · 03/09/2008 15:19

Sorry Mum.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 03/09/2008 16:00

oggsfrog · 04/09/2008 07:20

Good Morning all .

Happy Birthday Lyra!
Sorry you've got to work today - don't work too hard. Will there be cakes?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 04/09/2008 09:24

Happy Birthday. And here's your virtual AND virtuous cake.
