I think I have to have some

Do you like the cherry red or the dark red?

I really ought to spend my money on a new pair of loppers and a pruning saw...

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 29/08/2008 11:32

Go for it Berrie. They ARE practical!
And I can't see photos.

Berrie · 29/08/2008 12:08

On my profile or the Docs?

Berrie · 29/08/2008 12:09

Iknow, I need to add you as a Mumsnet mate 'cause of your new name...hold on!

Berrie · 29/08/2008 12:41

Try now!

LyraSilvertongue · 29/08/2008 13:52

Go for the Docs Berrie. I've considered it lately too. Midlife crisis looming, perhaps...
I just bought the boys Dr Marten school shoes from Cloggs. So much nicer than anything Clarks has to offer. I had their feet measured at Russell and Bromley yesterday, then ordered online.

Berrie · 29/08/2008 15:47

these or
these though?

Berrie · 29/08/2008 15:51

then there are these?

oggsfrog · 29/08/2008 16:54

Go for it Berrie
The Limited Issue Dark Red Zone ones get my vote, however dd thinks the shiny red ones are the ones to go for.

oggsfrog · 29/08/2008 16:55

Would you be teaming them up with your skirt?

oggsfrog · 29/08/2008 16:56

When was your birthday? You kept that quiet.

LyraSilvertongue · 29/08/2008 17:56

I like the patent ones but you're less likely to wear those, surely.
I vote for the ones Oggs said.

LyraSilvertongue · 29/08/2008 18:23

I got these for the boys.

Berrie · 29/08/2008 19:37

Those look great Lyra, cheaper than the Clarks too. I nearly fell over when she said £36!

Mmm have just shown DH and he says they are Lesbian boots. I don't know what he means and so what if they are. However he really dislikes them which is a bit of a downer. I feel personally affronted maybe even a bit mardy

Oggs, I think you know very well that my skirt is only for special occasions and I was even pushing it on Christmas day. However since I shall be probably cooking Christmas day this year it is entirely inpractical even for then...

Maybe DH's 40th...

Me...kepp quiet about something! You know me better than that! My birthday is on Sunday. I booked myself a babysitter and a table on Saturday night and all dh said was, 'how much will that cost?' I replied it didn't matter since it was my Birthday!!!He has bought me some perfume that I ordered from Amazon for him and an enormous grass plant from the children which I had to pretend I didn't see in the car with us and have not noticed at the top of the drive. My children are going to grow up thinking their Mother is very stupid.

LyraSilvertongue · 29/08/2008 20:59

My birthdays on Thursday. 37. I've got to go to work that day.

Berrie · 30/08/2008 07:28

Oh Bum Lyra.

Feel bad about moaning about dh now!

Oggs, how is the weightloss going?

oggsfrog · 30/08/2008 15:02

I wouldn't worry Berrie, dh describes my shoes and boots exactly that way too . Men eh?

Going somewhere nice tonight? How old will you be? You'll have to give me a blow by blow account tomorrow of what you both eat.
I'm back on the Cambridge after having far too long off it and re-gaining 10lbs . Back on track now though. Apart from the wine and whisky .

Will you have cakes in the office/newsroom on your birthday Lyra?
Haven't been able to see the shoes due to crap connection.

We've had a very nice young BT engineer out this morning to tinker with the connectors etc. Turns out the latest problem is due to the cheapo connector I bought at the £ shop .
He very kindly said he'd log it as an outside fault rather than charge us the £160 for a call out due to our faulty equipment

Berrie · 30/08/2008 15:46

Yes we are Oggs and I will tell you all. What is your total weightloss now then?

oggsfrog · 30/08/2008 17:19

About a stone and a half.
Enjoy your meal .

I don't believe you answered the question though ... how ancient old will you be?

Berrie · 30/08/2008 18:50

Oh...how could I forget!
Today I am still only 36!

oggsfrog · 30/08/2008 18:58

Pah! A mere stripling.

LyraSilvertongue · 31/08/2008 16:39

Happy birthday Berrie.
i'm only a few days behind you.
How did we all get so old?

oggsfrog · 31/08/2008 19:49

Happy Birthday old crone Berrie

Hope you had a nice meal and a lovely Birthday today.

Having probs again - wondering if it's the ISP or server

Berrie · 01/09/2008 08:14

Thanks...I came on here yesterday and told you about my meal but it has not posted
Will do it again once I've got rid of kids.

Was it Thursday Lyra? MFL'sF is on Thursday too!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 01/09/2008 16:24

Harrumph. 37?! You ankle biters!

Now... watch this space, but I've just acquired an imac for the very bargain price of £50 and tonight I'm going to attempt to set up a wireless broadband internet connection. You guys'll be the first to hear if I achieve success. I am VERY excited!

Ooh, and for all you David Tennant fans - Blackpool. Episode 3. Phwoar. Ahem.
