Ive been ok today, better than the weekend. Poor Dh had a horrid day at work.
It'll be fine.

oggsfrog · 19/08/2008 07:17

Morning
Dd's back at school today hurrah!
It means I get the chance to catch up with all the cleaning/washing/tidying/paperwork etc that have been neglected for the last 6 weeks.
Also means I have to crack on with festi work as the next one is four weeks away.

No more lie ins

Berrie · 19/08/2008 09:38

Is she glad to be back?

I'm off to a friends in a bit for lunch which will be nice.

My breast is discoloured. I am peeing my pants.

oggsfrog · 19/08/2008 09:51

Oh, Berrie .

Berrie · 19/08/2008 09:53

Should I go to A&E in case I get gangrene of the tit?

oggsfrog · 19/08/2008 09:58

She's not that happy to be going back.
She spent the 3/4hr journey insisting to dh that she was sure that mum and dad wouldn't really go to prison if she didn't go to school, and that anyway she'd forgotten how to spell and do maths

oggsfrog · 20/08/2008 13:27

I'm back after 24 hrs enforced absence due to crappy BT line .

Hope everything went ok this morning Berrie.

Berrie · 20/08/2008 13:49

SWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSH!

No cancer. Don't know what has happened to my breast but it's nothing untoward.
Thanks to you all for your support. It's been ridiculously worrying!

oggsfrog · 20/08/2008 14:44

That's brilliant news . You and dh must be so relieved.

Berrie · 20/08/2008 19:18

Tee hee hee!

oggsfrog · 20/08/2008 19:40

So it's nothing to worry about ? Just a manky boob?

Berrie · 20/08/2008 22:41

Consultant said that the mammogram was fine, he couldn't feel anything and he couldn't see any puckering. He was abrupt and dismissive.
Got undressed tonight and there is another one on the same breast round the corner. There is a long puckering along the site of a hard vein. I wouldn't have felt it unless I had seen it.
To be fair there no longer is any puckering along the first one. The discolouration is still there...either I am a complete nutter looking for things that are not there or there is something else wrong which was not what the cancer Doctor was looking for or interested in.
Shall I igore it and go to brother's in London as planned or go back to GP as I'm concerened my tit is about to go black and drop off?
It's been so nice this afternoon not being dying. It's still nice not to have cancer but once again I can't sleep...

oggsfrog · 21/08/2008 07:20

Go back to the Dr.
There is obviously something going on or he wouldn't have referred you.
Say you need peace of mind. Say you realise it can't be anything serious or the consultant would have taken it further, but can he explain exactly what it is that you are seeing?

Consultants can be very dismissive and don't always seem to understand that even though they haven't found anything life threatening it is still important for the patient to understand exactly what it is that they sought help with in the first place, and to leave with a decent explanation.

Berrie · 21/08/2008 09:01

2nd one not there today.
Right I think we've all heard quite enough about my 'manky boob'

Berrie · 21/08/2008 13:24

Have a lovely weekend everyone!

oggsfrog · 21/08/2008 14:01

Why? Where are you off to?

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 22/08/2008 13:33

Hi everyone.
I'm so sorry to have missed the drama of the Manky Boob, but I am so pleased you're ok, Berrie.

Anything else happening? I was off poorly, slumped on the sofa watching dvds.

oggsfrog · 22/08/2008 18:29

Hi Zeb Sorry that you've been poorly. Has ds been ill too? Watch any good films?

The black hole that was masquerading as a safe place has finally given up its booty, and I am once again in possession of Cold Comfort Farm .
Dh has said he wants to watch it again too, so until then it's been put somewhere safe .

TheQueenIsDead · 24/08/2008 19:32

Hello! We're back! I'll catch up with the thread and post later.
ps, it's blimmin' cold here innit?

BadWolf · 25/08/2008 11:13

Have a good time?

oggsfrog · 25/08/2008 18:29

Did you have a nice time?

TheQueenIsDead · 26/08/2008 00:50

We had a lovely time but already it feels like ages ago.
We stayed in a lovely villa with a huge outside area (including not one but three terraces) and our own pool ( a first for us).
It was 30 degrees plus every day (38 degrees on the hottest day - phew!), we went to the beach a lot, lazed by the pool, had barbecues, lots of meals out and explored Spanish towns and villages. Perfect.
The only fly in the ointment was house buying troubles. The house sale was all off for the first few days of the holiday, which put a bit of a dampener on it, and just as I was coming to terms with losing our forever house, it's all back on again. The sellers are a complete nightmare but we have to keep kissing ass if we're to get the house we really want. Fingers crossed for us, please

TheQueenIsDead · 26/08/2008 00:51

Oh, and DS1 lost his first tooth on the second day, the day before his sixth birthday. The Spanish tooth fairy gave him 2 euros He's a proper little boy now.

oggsfrog · 26/08/2008 07:49

That sounds amazing . Did you attempt much conversation in spanish? I did Spanish Literature at A level

TheQueenIsDead · 26/08/2008 11:13

Can't you convince BT to lay a broadband cable to save all this messing about?
