Oh only ex because since he's not seen him for yonks or spoken to him since January (as far as I know haven't really asked lately)

Wouldn't say no to a nice Lee dream, lucky you!

oggsfrog · 13/08/2008 19:47

Oh Bugger, Bollocks, Hellfire and Damnation!

I've been sooooo good all day.

I've just sat down with my first cup of coffee of the day and somehow............ ........... somehow..................somehow..............somehow........ managed to eat a full packet of choc chip cookies .

Berrie · 14/08/2008 08:58

Oh Oggs...tis always the way. It's very hard when you are out of your routine to stay on track.
Chin up

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 14/08/2008 09:26

At least it was quality biccies Oggs. Imagine how much worse you'd feel if they were something yucky like those pink wafer things they always shove in selection boxes.

I have to 'fess up to buying the final dvd of the last series with Rose in it yesterday. I'd never actually seen the penultimate episode. Or that's my excuse anyway. The end of that final episode had me in tears though. All I wanted to do was hug the poor chap I'm not sure when this last final one comes out on dvd.

And sorry, I've no recent Hugh-ness to report, although I'm looking forward to the new movie, even if it has got wotserface in it. (You know, skinny Aussie bird, used to be married to Tom Cruise).

Are you feeling better today Berrie?

Berrie · 14/08/2008 10:06

Yes I'm fine thanks. I'm now on my progestrogen holiday. Should have a week or so of being ok until the next time.

What would you do in this situation?
Last time I went to the Dr's she prescribed me the mini pill. She was going to do the normal pill but my blood pressure was too high but I was sobbing hard...anyway, I didn't take it because of my holiday and then I had an ok month so I didn't start it the next time.

Would you go back to another Doctor and somehow ask if he thinks it is the best thing to take or just try it and see. From what I read, I'd need to give it 3 months to settle down and I just cant possibly bear 3 months feeling like this, I really can't.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 14/08/2008 10:26

3 months? I agree, there must be some other solution, surely? Sorry, I'm not at all clued up on this stuff - I haven't been on the pill in 5 years, so I don't know about the issues surrounding ADs and so on - you are on ADs aren't you?

But if you're seriously worried, you should most definitely see a doctor, and if you didn't like the one you saw, go to another one. It's only taken me 6 years down here to find a decent one!

Now I'm looking up second hand bikes in the paper. I've decided if I don't have DS for weekends, I should just take my life in my hands and cycle to the local pool for swimming. Bliss.

Berrie · 14/08/2008 10:34

I loved cycling in France on holiday. I had a proper old fashioned sit up and beg ladies bike. Sooo much more comfortable than a mountain bike! It's very hilly here so no chance of even developing the legs of steel required to get up the hill to the village centre.

Berrie · 15/08/2008 11:16

Long hard lump in breast probably along milk duct. Dr has referred me to breast clinic for ultrasound and biopsy

oggsfrog · 15/08/2008 11:34

Oh Berrie ((hug)).
Is it a blocked duct do you think? Painful?
I'm so sorry. You seem to be having a shit time of things at the moment.

Again, if you need to vent/chat etc I'm hare.

Berrie · 15/08/2008 12:33

No idea.

Don't fancy doing the google thing at the mo. Will just scare myself. He's going to fax the referral over this afternoon so the appointment should come within the next week or so.
I'm sure it'll be nothing.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 15/08/2008 12:43

Oh Berrie, you poor, poor girl. Here's a big hug. You really are going through it at the moment, aren't you?

Like Oggs says, we're here for you and if you want to call for a chat, please do.

Berrie · 15/08/2008 13:13

I'm wondering whether there is a link. I am depressed during the first half of my cycle which is the Oestrogen part. oestrogen causes changes in breast tissue and cancer, I think. Maybe I've got waaay too much oestrogen and they'll find this out and be able to cure my depression.

Did a bit of googling and had to stop. Dh is up a ladder painting the fascia. Have to be here in case he falls off otherwise I would go and see a friend or my mother I think. Hey ho.

Berrie · 15/08/2008 13:13

just feeling a bit agitated....

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 15/08/2008 14:44

If it's any help as an indicator, I'm at my worst a couple of days before my period. Apart from that I'm normally fine throughout the month.
Bless you. We are thinking of you.

Berrie · 15/08/2008 15:03

Thanks Zeb.
DH down from ladder so off to do something as a distraction. Thanks for being so nice.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 15/08/2008 15:47

No worries - having been there, although not to the same extent as you, I don't think, I know how awful it can be, and how lonely. But there is life the other side of it. I promise - although I'm not suggesting you do anything quite so drastic as I have!

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 15/08/2008 15:48

And of course I'm angling for those Hamlet tickets.

Berrie · 15/08/2008 17:30

They're MINE all Mine I tell you!(evil cackle)

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 18/08/2008 09:03

Ha! I know where you live.... Err, no I don't. Bugger.

How are you feeling Berrie, how was your weekend?

Berrie · 18/08/2008 09:40

Well it wasn't nice. I'm not really toying with the idea of what will happen if I die (much) but it's rather an effort to keep occupied. I think it's harder for dh.

On the bright side...in the depths of the night when I've crept out of bed for a furtive google, I reckon I've got Mondor's disease which is nothing to worry about.

oggsfrog · 18/08/2008 14:11

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday, we had a fun-filled family day out .
We took dd for her riding lesson, then mooched around a market/car boot, had lunch out and then went ice-skating (well dd and dh did, I sat and watched).

Today is day before dd goes back to school so I've been digging out lunch menus' ferreting around for dinner money, sorting bags and uniforms etc.

Berrie, I've got my fingers and everything else possible crossed for Wednesday. I looked up Mondor's and does sound a lot like what you've described. Is your appt in the morning?

Berrie · 18/08/2008 16:00

Yes it is.
It's kind of in the wrong place for Mondor's as it's sort of on the breast rather than pulling away at the perimeter. From what I've read today, if it's not Mondor's then it's something more sinister.

ZebsRoomofHerOwn · 18/08/2008 16:29

Big big hugs and love for Wednesday Berrie.

Weekend sounds good Oggs!

Berrie · 18/08/2008 16:55

Panic oevr, you can get Mondor's in the lateral thoracic vein!

oggsfrog · 18/08/2008 19:16

Bloody hell Berrie - talk about a rollercoaster of emotions. You must be totally wrung out poor love.
In the articles I've been reading Mondor's can be found in lots of different areas.
It's good that the appt is in the morning and you don't have to stew all day.
