Not bad, thank you! I've got some friends coming over for a drink tonight, which is very exciting. I haven't done that in a squillion years. DS is a tad confused as one of the girls has the same name as a character in one of his favourite TV programmes, but for some reason doesn't look a bit like her.

Not bad. Tired as usual but it's a work day so what's new.
Been looking at more houses but none compare to the one we lost for size and location
Will prob wait for bargains to come on the market and try to have the mortgages agreed so we can move fast when the time comes.

Oh that is so miserable. I guess all you can do is hang in there, but thank God you don't actually HAVE to move urgently, IYSWIM, which would really put you in the poo.

David Davis has just resigned. Wayne and Coleen married in a heavy downpour. Haven't seen any pics yet but not sure if we've got a snapper there.

Not bad. I haven't had any carbs since Tuesday, and am eating lots of salad and stuff. But I will be having a drink or three later, which may not help... I also got the tape measure out last night , so that I'll be able to compare later when I'm a skinny mini

Yup. Lost another 1lb last week - tbh I had expected more as I've been walking, but I guess I'm eating too much in my evening 'meal', and I suppose the bottles of wine and brandy didn't help either .

I'm cutting the meal back to basics this week and upping the water.

Just tidied up while boys play in the garden. I'm going to join them in a minute.
We spent yesterday at Sandown Park watching the horse racing (and losing loads of money ). it was brilliant. The place is huge and they have all kinds of food and drink, they had face painting for the children, Irish dancing displays and so on. We'll go again when they have a family gala day in August with Mr Men characters and stuff.

I've asked dd for a wish list of places to go and things she wants to do during the Summer Hols. I'm sure it will make interesting reading .
I still can't get used to the early hols up here. She breaks up on the 7th July and goes back on 19th Aug.

Morning all. Did you all have great weekends? My highpoint was getting a fridge...at last. And yes, I had a richly deserved hangover on Friday. I'm now planning my trip to London next month. Sans baby. Sans hubby. Staying with a very old friend who we've always suspected to be a closet gay. (You know Lyra, typical Tory-boy type! ) Great fun.

My weight loss seems to have stalled despite me drinking 4lt of water yesterday and watching what I eat . I even went walking 2m uphill ...

Phew. Got woken up by DS at 5.30am. Then had him jabbering for the next 2 1/2 hours until I finally gave him and flung him up to nursery. I then had to go and sit in Starbucks with a latte and blueberry muffin to just 'be'. Oh, with this week's OK for Wayne'n'Colleen's wedding pics. So bang goes Atkins today.

And I'm in the big smoke the 2nd week of July, with DH hopefully in charge of DS. We may also be in posession of an au pair by then, we've offered one the job and are now just checking references. Everyone just cross everything. I'm a bit worried, as I've never left DS for any amount of time, but I'm going to start practising with leaving him with DH all day and overnight on Friday.

Walking 2 miles up hill is just daft, though!

Did another 2 miles this morning , and have already had 2lt of water (cue almost permanent occupation of the loo ). Two bloody pounds up this morning . Bum and bollocks!

We're not entirely sure of how the au pair's going to work. Maybe occassionally with me for babysitting, but mostly at the farm. And I've just seen her passport etc. She has the same surname as the dishy eastern european doc in ER, do you think they're related?

Still haven't been able to bring myself to watch Animal Attraction yet.

Have just been asked by the school if I'd be willing to drive the minibus for the school outing at end of this month and am frantically checking routes and parking accessibility...

Animal Attraction. . I think you need to have downed at least two bottles of strong alcohol before you broach that one.

Why on earth would you want to drive a school minibus?

'Cos I'm the only one at the school with a current minibus licence...

Unfortunately not drinking alcohol at moment so will sadly have to give Animal Attraction a miss
