Me too Tinker, but I'm even thinking about waiting a while because I really wanted UA and their books are closed . I really don't want too be hasty, It's hard to choose and there are so many good ones and need to make sure I choose the right one for dd.

tinkerbellchelle · 25/06/2008 17:50

I know what you mean, its one of those things that you want to make sure that you are certain about.

Whats your feeling on KK now? Who else have you to choose from for your DD?

dizzydori · 25/06/2008 18:54

Tinker my options so far are Babyshak, BK, ES, Rascals and KK. Still waiting to hear from KL and BB and now alphabet. I do think KK sound good. I have a good feeling about them. My only concern was that I was told they take on most kids who applied which worried me. But they say clients look for all different sorts of children. But they seem to be getting the work and are really friendly and approachable. How about you for KK? Tinker if you had to choose between ES and KK?

3kids1cat · 25/06/2008 19:09

Dizzy are you in London because if not UA books are open again until the end of August.

dizzydori · 25/06/2008 19:17

Sadly I am 3kids but thanks. So I'll have to wait until later on in the year to apply.

tinkerbellchelle · 25/06/2008 19:43

Dizzy - I still kinda think that KK have potential, I do think it seemed odd when M & S said they hadn't heard of them, but now that has been rectified and its confirmed they have worked with them. I find them very friendly and helpful. So, Im still considering their offer.

ES - the start up costs just seem too high for me. We've not got loads of money at the minute as we've just booked a holiday and it just seems a little bit too much for us at the moment.

DP is on nights for 4 days, but said when he is finished we will have a proper natter as there is still babyshak and rascals to think of, and then just waiting for alphabet and MOT to come back

dizzydori · 25/06/2008 20:19

ES costs are really high, and there's no guarantee of work. KK's contract is for 3 years, not sure if I can commit that long to any agency. What happens if you're not happy after year 1? Having said that they are so lovely.

dizzydori · 25/06/2008 20:25

Tinker let me know what you decide . I don't know if you'd want to email me personally as we've got lots in common with regards our LO's and where we're at with this modelling. My email is [email protected]. It'll save us taking up space on the board lol

tinkerbellchelle · 25/06/2008 21:21

DD got confirmed for Debenhams job today, bit of a surprise as didnt go to the casting bit of a pain to get to as well, but very pleased as its her first job for a year

JAZZ4494 · 30/06/2008 18:09

What a nice suprise, well done totally, you must be really pleased, especially as you did'nt have to travel to the casting.
DD must be happy too, a year is a long time without a job, hope the journey to kent will be ok for you. Lets us know how you got on.

JAZZ4494 · 30/06/2008 18:11

Tinkerbel6, thanks for good luck vibes, but we did'nt get a phone this time. (bo, ho)
Not to worry, lets just hope that now she's had one casting from KL, others will follow.

ichef · 30/06/2008 23:18

Jazz glad to hear about your dd's first casting, dd still with KL and we're still waiting for the phone to ring, ds was offered a contract with UA I was v happy for him. Hoping they'll all be getting a lot of castins soon but tbh I'm not sure if KL is the right agency for dd, it's a shame UA won't take her, maybe next intake I'll try again if nothing happens by then.

Tinkerbel6 · 01/07/2008 11:37

Jazz now you got the first casting out of the way it will set your daughter up for the next one so she will know what to expect, fingers crossed some more castings/jobs follow.

totallyfloaty35 · 01/07/2008 18:58

christabel · 01/07/2008 20:33
