Welcome everyone to our new May thread, and May lots happen, excuse the pun!!

well surely that means m&s do not have a clue who kk are either, surley if they had dealings with them recently they would remember they booked children from kk for a casting???? very strange!

i personally would not go with an agency that is not well established in the industry and that is so un heard of, have to be so carelful in this industry and i know this from personal experience. i went with an agency when dd was 18 months, paid out £210 and never heard from them again!

Thank you all. Think I am going to contact Rascals first. I have sent photos off to UA for up north but don't know how long they will take to respond or whether they even will at all. It says the closing date for applications is sometime in August so is it possible that they won't contact anyone til after the closing date??

we have had castings with bk one of them purely was a BK casting- they are a friendly bunch of people, their fee is a one off fee (until 16)where as other agents are normally yearly fees. all documents have to remain up to date to stay on their website though and get put forward for work. they have more children on their books compared to the likes of bb etc yet only the ones with up to date doc for licencing will get put forward for jobs.they are non sole rep aswell.
plus they dont take everyone on, regardless if people think so, both of my children were refused with them a few years ago when i initially applied to them.

hi CJMommy.. UA are usually very good at replying quite quickly. My dd is with Rascals.. they are very well establised and we've had some good things so far. Their website/admin fees are more than some, however you dont have to use their photographer and can submit your own photos although these do need to be professionally done. Good luck with it !

DD has been accepted by ES, KK and BK (rejected by BB and UA is not adding at the moment). Was thinking of choosing BK - does anyone know if ES or BK is better for babies?

Dear All.. not that I want to go on about this, BUT i have just been 100% reliably informed by M&S that YES they DO use kk...

"Our Marketing team have informed us that Kitsch Kids is an agency we use
for M&S Photography in our campaigns"

If you cant take my word and require further clarification on this, speak with retail customer services at M&S on 0845 302 1234

Do remember that M&S is a HUGE company and there are LOADS of different departments that use various modelling agencies for their shoots.

I have just recieved an email from M & S stating that :-

We have since been informed by our Marketing team that Kitsch Kids is an agency we use for M&S Photography in our campaigns. I'm sorry for the previously incorrect information.

So take back what I posted yesterday, which was in my previous email I was only posting what I had received

im so pleased kk got a reference from m&s.All us oldies on here are very suspicious people these days as we had a rubbish experience with some dodgy posters.But a new agency that gets work and is getting established is always a good thing,we just like proof that they are an actual bona fide agent

Our option's at the moment as it stands are Rascals, ES, Babyshak and KK. MOT I have applied to but not heard yet.

My friend heard back and it was a no sadly.

Tink have you tried alphabet kids? i saw them on britains next top model shoot,mammas an papas and M&s, charges are higher than the big 4 though,but they work a lot

I just wanted to say a BIG well done to all the children at the EU shoot. They were fantastic and the crew were great too . Roll on Friday for the next one. Proud of dd as it was her first ever shoot and she did well apart from the last 5 minutes when she had a tantrum!!! Oh well!

tinkbellechelle - i have seen alphabet at least 4 of the commercial castings i have been to this year, they do seem to get the work. think they are possibly sole rep now

Hi Tinker,just spoke to Alphabet as I didn't apply to them either and will do now. They require a photo against a white background and just the one I was told. Good luck x

Are you applying by email or via the website. I tried via the website but it wouldnt let me as I couldnt put an age in and then wouldnt let me finish so I have sent an email.

With their web site you just have to enter their DOB further down and it automatically fills in the age - did that today for my DD anyway.

Hi anyone on here heard of Model Cast/Model Child, they are asking for new kids and are in Cheshire - they are recruiting through Star Now - website looks good. Anyone on here from North (Manchester, Leeds etc)

brooke77:after your message I decided to have a look on a dictionary and found out that the translation for the word 'grumpy' in my language is not what I always believed it to be.
thanks for the well wishes for my holiday...I think I really need them considering I got robbed on the shuttle( and I didn't realized at all!!!They took a white and pink gold bracelet with gold charms worth more than 600 quid.I know I can always get a new one but it really pisses me off because of the sentimental value.. ) and this morning I closed my finger in the car.Luckily it's not broken but it's three times its original size. I am now waiting for the third thing to happen...

I am very happy that M&S confirmed that they do use KK. I had a very good feeling about them and I think we should give them a bit of credit. I am sure they'll make a name for themselves very soon.

Anyway,(not sure if I can post it on here but..)in February we got in contact with a really lovely girl who loves to take pictures.
We met with her at Friary Park (North London)where she took loads of picture of me,my partner and ds playing. It was supposed to be a tfp but we were so pleased with the pics that we decided to offer her some money.
She's now decided to start a small business to earn some money during the summer time so if you are interested in having some family portraits taken you can contact her (and see some of her work)on
