JackJacksmummy · 17/06/2008 21:31

I have applied for Bizzykidz for my DS Jack who is almost 2, using this picture.

I tried reading the website to find out costs etc but was a bit confused with it all, could anyone explain for me?

Cheers x

julie4travel · 18/06/2008 07:16

jackjacksmummy- i think we paid about £130 pounds or something and its a one off fee till they are 16. they are a non sole rep agent so you can be with other agents too.

brooke77 · 18/06/2008 07:45

Jacksmummy..the £120 fee is a one off set up cost. Also.. you can supply bizzykids your own photos although i thnk they offer a photoshoot too. if u are accepted, they will send you all the info to read through before you decide to pay the fee and join up. i heard from one client that they were only sent 1 photo of each child to chose from, so if you do supply your own photos it probably helps if they are of a good standard !

Hi everyone,

Just got back from a phillips baby monitor casting . I took DP and we went into the rainforest cafe afterwards. It was a lovely but tiring day.

Good luck to all for any castings etc

Luce2006 · 18/06/2008 15:43

How longs does it usually take to get the password from UA?

marymay · 18/06/2008 16:46

You get your password when your childs pictures have been put onto thier web page
Well thats how it worked for us ,it was a couple of years ago so it might have changed..
Yo can only see your own childs. So no eyeing up the competition

Hersetta · 19/06/2008 11:53

Hello all,

new to this thread and wanted a bit of advice. loads of people have said we should get DD (9 months) into baby modelling as she is a cutie with huge eyes with a great temprement. Which agencies do people think she is most suitable for? Pics on my profile - honest opinions please. Is it worth pursuing?

brooke77 · 19/06/2008 12:29

hi Hersetta.. absolutely, shes adorable ! if you read through the posts on this thread there is plenty of info regarding which are reputable agencies.. you can read on their websites to find out how they each work regarding fees etc.. good luck !

mummyeme · 19/06/2008 18:48

Have to say, Kitschkids site looks great and plenty of good names on their too reckon they'll be one to watch out for!
Well done on your job and shoot brooke, busy day I bet

Luce2006 · 19/06/2008 21:49

Thanks marymay!
brooke77: is one of your dc with Kittsch Kids? I remember applying in the evening and getting a call the morning after. I was going to sign my ds with them before applying to UA but I couldn't find the gp letter anymore( and couldn't be bother to get a new one considering it was march and I got the new one in February) and was a non no for me to get to the studio for the photoshoot.( don't drive)

dizzydori · 20/06/2008 10:27

Hello all,
I've never posted here but have lurked for a while picking up some valuable tips!!

I would really love some advice please. My dd has been accepted by ES and Kitsch Kids for modelling. (Still waiting to hear from MOT, KL & B&B). Kitsch Kids are fairly new but sound lovely. Is anyone's lo registered with them? Or with ES but their fees are fairly high. My dp likes the sound of ES as they're well established, selective and replied the day after I sent the email. Kitsch kids sounded really great though.

Anybody had experience with either of these. There are some photos of my dd linked.
Thanks in advance.

totallyfloaty35 · 20/06/2008 13:01

hi,ur dd has a very strong look so i would wait for the other agencies to reply, they will probably accept her and they have no charges. She has a good look for U/a but their books have just closed.Hang on for all your replies,or you may miss out on a better agent for her

julie4travel · 20/06/2008 14:43

dizzidori - i would say same as totally i can see agents such as bb kl etc snapping her up, hold fire and take your time chosing the right agent. i have seen elisabth smith at jobs and castings so they def get the work.

dizzydori · 20/06/2008 17:02

Thanks Julie and Floaty for the advice, I'll wait a couple of weeks and see what happens. It's hard though, just willing the phone to ring.
What agencies are you with Julie and Floaty? Are you happy with them and do you lo's enjoy the modelling?

tinkerbellchelle · 20/06/2008 17:17

Well decision made........ have been ummming and eering about what to do, and have decided that Rascals costs seemed a little high and we couldnt afford it. So after speaking to Kitsch Kids we are able to go to there next shoot in July. We were meant to go to the June one just gone but didnt cos we werent sure what we were doing.

I feel happy with my decision on meeting them and look forward to it. I was gonna put it all behind and not worry about trying anymore but little man had a nursery photo session yesterday ( venture style ) and loved every minute and was having a whale of a time, so thought we would give it one last go

So finally no more chopping and changing ideas, Im sorted.

Luce - when is your little one at the shoot for the EU video? Bet you cant wait - good luck for it

dizzydori · 20/06/2008 17:30

Great news Tinkerbell , I am so indecisive at the moment are Kitsch Kids good? Sharon seems so lovely on the phone and wants my dd to go for a photo shoot in July? I liked her the minute I spoke to her. Still can't make up my mind though........ will wait for BB & KL too.

tinkerbellchelle · 20/06/2008 17:38

DD - Im going for the July photo shoot so have no " actual " knowledge on them with regards to them as an agency. But I have a really nice feeling about them, they seem so friendly on the phone. We weren't accepted by the " big" agencies as such and are with BG at the moment, but havent had much ( well hardly anything at all ) so just feel maybe a change would be the right thing. And from who we were offered to see I feel that they seem for us our best option.

Good luck for hearing from BB & KL

Brooke - did you go to the June kitsch shoot? How was it?

tinkerbellchelle · 20/06/2008 17:41
  • with regards to them as an agent
dizzydori · 20/06/2008 17:46

Well I may see you there Tinkerbell. I've been invited to the July shoot as well on the 16th. If KL & BB don't contact me in the meantime. I'll let you know. I have a good feeling about them as well. Thanks for the reply.

Luce2006 · 20/06/2008 17:49

Hi tinkerbellechelle!glad to hear you decided to go for KK. i too had a good feeling when Sam called me to talk about my ds and offer him a place. We were supposed to go the photoshoot but then I cancelled it.I had a look at the website last night and they have added few things from when I applied for ds. It looks even nicer now.
