Over here! (Berrie waves)

Zebedeedoodah · 06/02/2008 14:56

Not even if you were in a nice hot bubbly bath with them? There's just no pleasing some people.

Listing to Lee's album again. Make it with you still makes my toes curl and my stomach clench, it's soooo cheesy and awful. The rest is all right though.

binkleandflip · 06/02/2008 15:04

She has to have an operation

If that wasnt bad enough I might have let the pet insurance lapse.... I cant remember if I renewed it and have no idea where the certificate would be if I had

There is no question of her not having the op but I am dreading to think of the cost - not because we wont pay it but because I can imagine what other people would think about us paying x amount of money for a dog.

I am going to get on to Direct Line now...fingers crossed for me!

Berrie · 06/02/2008 15:07

Od dear Binkle

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 06/02/2008 15:08

Everything crossed. And no, I don't think you're mad paying for the dog. They're part of the family, not a piece of the furniture.

Berrie · 06/02/2008 15:09

Don't get me wrong...I wouldn't turn down a bubbbly bath..in fact that's almost working for me ....but then, if it was Lee, his hair might get wet and the shower cap might spoil things...

LyraSilvertongue · 06/02/2008 16:25

You ladies, nothing to do all day but sit and perve over men who are much too young for you.
I've just been to the butchers for tonight's dinner; two sirloin steaks, two chicken and mushroom pies and a small pack of salami came to over £19!!!
That's why I buy my meat in Sainsbury's.
Organic chickens were over £20!!!

LyraSilvertongue · 06/02/2008 16:28

Individual chicken pies, I might add. Not family sized.

Zebedeedoodah · 06/02/2008 16:38

Yup, but we're perving cos we can't afford to pay 19 quid on dinner and have to do something else to cheer ourselves up.
Bet you wish you'd been here to join in all the fun.

The bad news is DS seems to have recovered so I think I'm back at work tomorrow, and have stackloads to do, so my perving may be seriously curtailed.

Right. Dinner. Hmm.

oggsfrog · 06/02/2008 16:43

Oh, poor Binkle dog
Tousled hair... check. Drips of water... check.

Berrie · 06/02/2008 18:19

Lyra! Don't lump me in with that lot!

I think you'll find I did no perving and maintained my maidenly prudishness at all times....well most times...only slightly considered a bubble bath.

OP posts:
Zebedeedoodah · 06/02/2008 18:21

Now you're talking Oggs! But nowhere near dirty enough.

Berrie · 06/02/2008 19:38

Ok I can join in with the dirty thing...hold on

OP posts:
Berrie · 06/02/2008 19:39

Oh er...no, too difficult...perhaps I should give ou my blog address....

OP posts:
oggsfrog · 06/02/2008 19:45

Ooh, I forgot you had a blog. Email or MSN me please with details .

LyraSilvertongue · 06/02/2008 19:54

Binkle, how did you get on with the insurance? Hope it's not going to be too expensive for you.

binkleandflip · 06/02/2008 22:27

Oh oggs, thanks for that - what a lovely picture - I hope my dd (darling doggy) will soon be bounding about like that again - I feel really worried about her

We are insured thankfully, it is just a matter of getting her booked in now. I definately want her to have the op before we go away (18th feb) otherwise it will be another month and I cant bare to leave her in discomfort that long. This will be the second op that she has had (had a cancerous lump removed from her nose - she's a bloody liability!!) so I suspect our premiums might go up ever so slightly next time...

I have been sat on the floor with her and she put her big head in my lap and let me fuss her for ages - she is not herself at all.

oggsfrog · 07/02/2008 07:24

Aw Binkle. Poor mutt. Is it a big operation? What do they have to do? What do you do with her when you go away?

C'mon Berrie I want to see your blog. How the prep coming for your new tutee's? (is that actually a word or did you make it up )

Lyra, anymore viewers lined up? (and for your information I have my own pedant's hat and mine has bells on it, so there )

Zeb, I'm glad ds is on the mend. When I got chicken pox when I was about 10 I was off school for weeks, had a fever and had spots in places you wouldn't believe - I was very poorly. At least he's got it under his belt early without too much distress.

Berrie · 07/02/2008 08:24

Morning Oggs. I sent the blog address on MSN last night but it bounced back My first lesson went ok, the first is always tricky as the kids are shy. I have another tonight but there's not much to do so I'll be able to give dc some attention today poor things.

Binkle, poor doggy, hope you get things sorted soon.

Zeb, dd did not catch CP when ds had it last year. I'm hoping to get away with it this spring though I suppose it's good to get it over with.

Lyra quit cleaning and come and chat a bit more!

OP posts:
LyraSilvertongue · 07/02/2008 09:10

I have to clean, Berrie. Besides, I'm enjoying living in this new-look clean and tidy house. I've not experienced it for a long time.

Zebedeedoodah · 07/02/2008 09:22

I'm here again. I decided, on balance, that DS should have one more day at home as he said he was itching last night. But tomorrow he's definitely going to the CMs. I'll pay her at the same time, which should sweeten her up a bit! And it hasn't been too bad at all, although he did get spots in a very unmentionable place, poor little mite. (no, not his willy)

Binkle, give the pooch a big cuddle from me and DS. it's awful when they're poorly and you can't do much to help.

Berrie, are you allowed to beat information into your tutees these days as they learn the three rs, or is that a bit of a no-no?

Lyra, when you've finished tidying, can you come and do my place?

Oggs. Any more perving today, or have the hormones died down a bit?!

binkleandflip · 07/02/2008 09:44

Morning..we're struggling to get her in before we go away but they are going to phone me back..she has to have a plate put in her leg - apparently it is a 'cruciate ligament' - something footballers are prone to Anyway, at least, as I say we are insured - it expires in April - so that is a relief.

My poor girl

Anyway, I have to say my hormones are in check today - think I overdid it a bit yesterday!!

Berrie · 07/02/2008 09:46

Do you have another viewing lined up Lyra?

OP posts:
binkleandflip · 07/02/2008 09:47

Lyra's not playing much since we met up...

LyraSilvertongue · 07/02/2008 09:54

No more viewings today. I'm trying to maintain standards so that when we do have noyther viewing it will m,ean just a quick tidy round instead of two hours of intensive cleaning.
Binkle, I've just been really busy the last few days. Yesterday I helped at DS2's nursery all morning, had a meeting at lunchtime about a school journalism project then took DS2 swimmijng in the afternoon. We were hardly in at all.
Tuesday was the same, what with gymnastics and karate classes for DSs. Some days I don't get a minute to myself.
I'm at work today (my day or rest ) but I'm out tonight with some mums from DS2's class. I will really try not to drink too much but I know what I'm like once the white wine starts flowing. The pub's a two-minute walk from my house so at least I'll have no trouble getting home this time.

LyraSilvertongue · 07/02/2008 09:55

Noyther?
