ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 19/12/2007 01:48

ds has been accepted by BK and BS but have just discovered BS is the babyzone of BK. BK charge £120, BS charge £90. which is best to go with? have also applied to other agencies but we haven't heard back yet.

also what is NL and CK. saw someone mention them on the july thread but didn't know who they were.

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 19/12/2007 10:22

heard back from rascals today and they have accepted him for an assessment. does that mean he we won't know for definite until after the interview?

JackJacksmummy · 19/12/2007 12:19

Hi

Not sure if this is the right thread but i was hoping on some opinions....

Do you think my 17 month old son Jack would be suitable to see if anyone is interested in having him on their books?

I have added some photos of him, please tell me what you think and what agencies would you recommend?

Try MOT, Kids london and Bruce and brown cos they have low start up fees.

They prefer recent snapshots than professional photos though. They look like they were taken a good few months ago.

JackJacksmummy · 19/12/2007 13:23

yeah they were taken 2 months ago - i've got to have a good root through the recent ones we've taken or try and get some good ones taken over xmas.

Thanks though, i will take a long at those places in the meantime

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 19/12/2007 16:11

it's a no from NCA

dancerprancer · 19/12/2007 21:13

Addictedto/Jackjacks mummies, just keep applying to the reputable agencies and then make your choices!!
My compliments for your little ones and the best of luck and best wishes for a lovely xmas

juliejinglebells · 20/12/2007 07:54

just popped on to say happy xmas and hope everyone has a good new year

we had a nice end to the year with two unexpected jobs which was good when i didnt anticipate anything till march.

addicted to saying happyxmas - you can look at www.albamodel.infos website for a list of reputable agencies. dont rush into anything take your time and choose the right agency for you.

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 20/12/2007 07:56

if he has been offered an assessment what does that mean? is he definitely in or does it depend on the assessment?

dancerprancer · 20/12/2007 08:25

It depends on the assessment

juliejinglebells · 20/12/2007 15:31

addicted to saying happy xmas - it definitely depends on the assesment. it gives them a good idea on how confident etc your child is and checking they have no birth marks etc which may have been edited on the photos which were sent in.

good luck with your decisions

JingleyJen · 20/12/2007 15:52

Hi ladies

quick question - did you start things when your kindlings were babies or when they were older I think DS1 is gorgeous (I KNOW I am wearing rose tinted specs) and he seems to get better as he gets older.

on holiday this summer

I can hack it - be brutal how tinted are my specs??

thevirginmarymay · 20/12/2007 16:58

jingleyjen...your ds is gorgeous..mine were older when they started ds was 7 he is now 9 and dd was 9 she is now 11.
im sure your son would do well

JingleyJen · 20/12/2007 17:16

Thanks VM it is really hard to know when they are your own if youknow what I mean - my friend has always told me how gorgeous her kids are and they really aren't (IMO) so it makes me question my judgement.

Where do I start?

thevirginmarymay · 20/12/2007 18:36

send a couple of good photos off to bruce and brown ,kids london and motmodels(they all have websites) mine are with urban angels but they have just closed the books until may.
the photo you posted (i think) would be good.
wait until you get answers from them all.
dont be to put out if any say no as agencies wont take a child on if they have another child with very similar looks.there are quite a few other agencies . some good but some are a bit dodgy.ask on on here if you need any help.
good luck

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 20/12/2007 23:10

ds does have a birth mark on his tummy. would that mean they won't want him

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 21/12/2007 12:51

bubblegum and ES said no cos we don't live in london. no from MOT too cos of too many of his age on there books. i think his age group is quite competitive.

ellesmum · 21/12/2007 15:47

jingleyjen - your ds is very georgeous!! would def apply to agencies for him and see what happens - try bruce and brown and kids london first as they have very low start up fees. good luck

goingfor3christmaspuddings · 21/12/2007 15:55

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas a birth mark on your childs belly won't be a problem, if it's on the face it might. DD has a large pink one between one arm pit and shoulder and it's never been mentioned.

JingleyJen your son is gorgeous. I agree with eelesmum on the agencies to try.

mum2twosantas · 21/12/2007 19:27

jingly jen - i too agree, u shud def start trying the agencies - i think that pic is fab!!

addicted to - yes, not living in london is a prob, in fact, i am now thinking of withdrawing my ds from his london agency, and try and get him into a north one instead (sick of the M1 too lol)

ADDICTEDtosayingHAAAAAAAPYxmas · 21/12/2007 22:34

mum2twosantas where abouts are you?

mum2twosantas · 23/12/2007 20:39

addicted - im in the midlands - derbyshire - whereabouts r u?
