mum2twoboyz, can I ask why youre leaving ak, as I used to be with them, and I wasnt happy there at all.
Totally, theres a message for you if you scroll back a little

totallyfloaty35 · 20/09/2007 13:42

dancerd, why were you not happy with ak?
Not heard about the book shoot from kl,so dont know if she doing it.

totallyfloaty35 · 20/09/2007 13:44

firemum, bubblegum used to be very gd, not sure what they like now but i do know there joining fee is fairly low

marymay · 20/09/2007 14:26

hi.totally.. ive posted on msn

mum2twoboyz · 20/09/2007 14:40

dancerdeb
well, they 'seem' ok, but im tired of all the emails doing the threatening to take kids off the books for not updating pics etc, and i keep sending in pics, but they never change his profile!!!!!!!!! also - we r down for jobs only, so they r very few like that (even tho ds got one with dk lol) and we r quite away from london, so am wondering if a better choice wud be round here...........
tbh im so demoralised bout it all, and wondering if its worth the agro of tryin to get pics to update agencies, when hes gettin nothing, and when anything decent is in london... y didnt u like them??

dancerdeb · 20/09/2007 16:40

totallyfloaty, I heard from a friend of mine with KL that they had sent out letters, and she said her sister in law, new too (like us) didnt get one until she asked for one, so I followed suit and asked,I then got a letter and made my booking, why dont you do the same?
As regards AK, much the same reason as mumu2two, constant emails in general, about removal of children and also very erratic behaviour,(sunny one day, thunder another) so I decided it didnt suit us anymore!

totallyfloaty35 · 20/09/2007 17:45

how much is it dancerdeb?

dancerdeb · 20/09/2007 17:52

170.00 if they dont like the photos (not up to their standards) you get a refund, and they dont go into the book

totallyfloaty35 · 20/09/2007 20:12

think i will give it a miss

dancerdeb · 20/09/2007 20:49

totallyfloaty, maybe on the other hand it could be an investment, as the best jobs go to the kids in the model book, am told by a good source!

3littlepigs · 20/09/2007 21:18

....but the model book is no longer an actual book it is 'online' so I would assume that all the kids are online and therefore have as much chance as the next at getting work!

dancerdeb · 20/09/2007 21:31

3littlepigs, why then, the online book so to spk, there has to be some advantage taking part in it? I was told by a mum who has had a lot of work, that since her ds went in it a year ago he has had a lot more work, whereas to the 6mths previous a lot less. It has to have some advantages for the kids in it, because if not, its just throwing a lot of money away when you can be represented by updating your own pics as Ive done to date. Dont get me wrong, Im only asking for my own piece of mind?

mummyeme · 24/09/2007 10:14

Hi,
Dancerdeb, go for it I'm sure it'll be great. You have nothing to loose and your ds has probably earnt more than enough to cover it from his jobs already and the model book could bring even more I expect!!! Either way you'll have some more great pictures of him, a great day out and most likely even more great opportunities!xx

julie4travel · 24/09/2007 10:55

totally - my ds jobs earlier in the year were picked via his photos, i presume from model book pictures as he didnt go for castings for those he was purely picked from photo. we are def doing the model book again this year
