My elder ds has also been booked for sat, for a pilot tv series, thats all we know for now get details later, this is with bk, he has had quite a bit from them and he is 16yrs old, he used to be with es and got a few jobs with them also, things then died down there and we moved agencies, taking along little ds, al the best to everyone for castings and jobs!

totallyfloaty35 · 06/09/2007 14:16

gdlucktink,my dd going there to.
lolly, how is your dd doing with b&b?

queenofthenorth · 06/09/2007 14:17

Hey there

First post for me here (have been lurking around for ages though...)

Anyway. DD (nearly 1) has just been accepted onto the books of Euro Kids & Adults, and I wondered whether anyone has had any experience with them... Any specific advice? Warnings? Tips?

I have no clue how any of this works at all, so any general advice would be good too.

Thanks in advance everyone!

Lolly68 · 06/09/2007 14:31

Hi Totally, have not posted on MSN for ages. Few probs at home! Have had nothing from B&B for DD. They are very good in keeping in touch though and phone and email regularly. They say she is at that "awkward" age at the moment (19 months) so not much around. Kipsey says it should pick up next year. Fingers crossed!

Tinkerbel5 · 06/09/2007 17:57

hiya lolly, hope dd gets something soon.

queenofthenorth maybe try the agencies with small fees first, I have never seen anyone from eurokids, and what I have read on the net people are toughing them with a barge pole, it worth looking around and doing your homework first

Tinkerbel5 · 06/09/2007 17:59

*arent

tinkerbellchelle · 06/09/2007 19:54

Hiya Think it went ok - little man gave a cheeky smile But there we go we will just have to see how it goes.

totallyfloaty35 · 06/09/2007 22:41

i didnt take dd,dh did.He got there at 3ish,they were doing well until another guy tried to get her to smile and dd burst into tears, she doesnt like loud men,so dh was asked to take her out an calm her then bring her back as they really liked her.But they may want a lo who doesnt hate the photographers assistant instead

tinkerbellchelle · 07/09/2007 07:17

HAHA oh bless At least they liked her and wanted her back thats a good thing.
Good luck let us know if you hear anything and vica verca

nittynora · 08/09/2007 15:45

Rubystar77 · 10/09/2007 23:25

hi dancerdeb, mummy eme and mums...

still nothing for us.... does get dis heartening not ever getting a phone call...
will sort through pics and update them and her height and measurements..... shes coming up to 2 so maybe its very quiet at that age..
have you found any where else mummyeme?
not had nothing for my other one with sw which has surpised me, would like to change her pics but that means another photo shoot and money!

julie4travel · 11/09/2007 09:05

rubystar hope you hear something soon
she is at a tricky age
my ds had one job after being with sw for 9 months, i so wish now i had contacted them to check how it was going
the last couple of castings we had in aug had an sw child at both of these yet the age group was higher so they do seem to get the work.

dancerdeb · 11/09/2007 10:27

Hiya Rubystar77
long time since we last chatted
dont give up hope, you'll get that call when youre least expecting it, its BK youre with isnt it, I think you should give them a call just asking has youre dd been put up for anything yet, just remind them that youre there, I do that with updates for my ds. Bk are very approachable, just the other day my older ds got called for a job and it came as a complete surprise. wishin you the best x
Mummyeme where are you!!

michaelad · 11/09/2007 10:44

Hi all, have just tried to apply to B&B and had an instant "our books are closed, we'll be looking at applicants again from the second week of september". Today being the 11/09 I am somewhat surprised. Did anybody else experience this?

julie4travel · 11/09/2007 11:06

michaelad- someone else had the same thing, drop a quick email to the info email and ask if they are now taking applications or what date you need to reapply. they normally are quick replying to that email, good luck

michaelad · 11/09/2007 13:56

Yes, did that and had a reply saying to apply at the end of September for all age groups apart from 2 yr olds...that'll be my ds2 out of the race for a year then!

Still considering whether to go for BK..and am running out of time to confirm..

julie4travel · 11/09/2007 15:17

michaelad- how about asking if you could have another couple of weeks extension as you are indecided, possibly worth asking, worst case scenario is they say no
i have seen bk kids at my last couple of castings - (both lists had 2 listed on the call sheet), different age group though.
good luck in your decisions

firemum · 11/09/2007 18:35

Hi Mums
I have a teenager 16 who has been accepted by ES, has anybody any advice on any agencys geared towards teenagers or advice about taking up ES as a lot of you have mantioned about the cost, thanks for your help
Regards

julie4travel · 11/09/2007 22:28

firemum - i cant comment on that agegroup. i have seen es kids at castings and on a couple of jobs we have done, they do get the work yet there fees are higher, personally if i got accepted by a no fee agency for money side of things i would snap their hands up. you could try kids london, bruce and brown , urban angels, mot they have little or no fees and also get the work. elisabeth smith have been going for years so you are secure for that side of things. i presume any agent going for a long time will have a good rapport with clients. good luck

michaelad · 12/09/2007 14:17

julie, have extended time to think about switching to BK...and bizarrely had another mail from B&B yesterday saying that clients don't like working with 2 yr olds but if we're still interested to please send photos of ds2 again once he's 3!

Rubystar77 · 12/09/2007 21:46

hi all,
how old is your other ds michaelad?
i really hate the way they judge all children the same, mine is coming up for 2 and she would do as she is told now and be fine in front of the camera but at 18months she weren't so good! horrible they don't give them a chance... especailly for acting as she copies and does everything instructed.. probably another year with nothing! at least she is with bk and no more fees!
dancer deb yes we are with bk and lil one with sw... hopefully she will get something so that it covers another years of fees... can't fork that out again!!

michaelad · 12/09/2007 21:49

ds2 is 27 months and he is right in the middle of tantrum land atm..so I really might say no to BK, wait for a year and then contact B&B again
