The coloured line is the first stroke. Also... where are you from, are you left or right-handed and how old are you?

My approach would be very similar to @whiskeysourpuss‘s image. Even if I lift the pen off a bit it’s still that movement.

Me 8, right handed, 40’s, both dd’s 7 they are 14 & 20’s also right handed, we’re all from Scotland. They now think I’m weird because I made them write x’s 😁
