Which way do you draw an X?

The coloured line is the first stroke. Also... where are you from, are you left or right-handed and how old are you?

I’m 8, grew up in UK, mid 30s.

I’m now doubting myself... I definitely do 8 when writing X’s in a card (but with the loop connecting them, as PP) but I can’t now unselfconsciously write a word with X in. Will try again later. And YY to algebraic X’s. So far the pattern seems to be that there is no pattern!

I'm mid 40s, South Yorkshire, right handed.

I also teach handwriting at a SY infant school. We teach it, following the programme (we use PenPals) as 7. The programme teaches children to not join an x.

When writing words with x in the middle I loop the bottom bit of the downward stroke to the start of the upward stroke.
