Layering up is indeed the best way to stay warm as the weather turns chilly. Fortunately HBFs also come with cloaks and coats which makes them doubly effective Grin

Morning! Hurrah for Fridays. Inset day here so half term has started.

Quite cloudy here and not entirely sure what the weather is likely to do today. Do need to shopping though - cat's need their flea treatment (oh, the glamour!)

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/10/2018 11:57

Oh FFS at messages that I leave sitting unposted....

There's a more positive review of Don Carlos here

LetUsPrey · 19/10/2018 17:57

Evening wenches. At least we all have similar levels of glamour Helen Grin

Off out to a concert tonight. I’m wearing a band t shirt that’s older than DS2. It’s a bit snugger than I remember Blush

ApricotCrush · 19/10/2018 18:00

Evening wenches.

Have a lovely time Fancy and LetUs.

That is a better review, but it's from a local theatre reviewer so I suppose it would be. Hmm

Our cats would always rather be indoors when it's raining. They're not stupid. They also don't dissolve in the rain though Grin
If over the road have adopted him but you're worried about him being outside, maybe tell them/ask them that you're going to let him in your house during the day. If he's fed there and only hangs out at yours for the comfort factor then you can't be accused of trying to pinch him? That's just Angry about the owners moving and leaving/not looking for him though.

We have been to the beach today - was lovely but there was a chilly breeze Whilst we were out, Stupid cat vommed, and DH tried to move my embroidery-in-progress out of range, and dropped his laptop in the chaos... Confused the screen is proper bust Sad (Stupid Cat is currently sitting on my lap, purring. Butter wouldn't melt.) Hmm I also copletely forgot abotu the flea stuff. FFS.

LetUs - the HBFs are very appreciative of your snugly fitting T-short Grin

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/10/2018 19:22

Also, another [https://www.nstheatres.co.uk/whats-on/an-evening-with-tom-burke Evening with Tom Burke] is being advertised - this time in Southampton (the publicity trail grinds onwards)

WickedWenchOfTheNorth · 19/10/2018 19:38

How the hell can someone abandon a cat?? Angry

TFIF WineWineWine

Have fun Fancy Halloween Smile

ApricotCrush · 19/10/2018 20:06

Oh dear Helen, that sounds like a comedy sketch. Poor MrHelen.

Thanks for cat advice. Although he does like him, DH doesn't want him in the house because he won't wipe his feet and he could be wet/muddy although he was playing golf today (not the cat). Grin

I know WW, I'm so angry with them, he 's such a lovely cat, and he fills the Buffy-shaped hole in my life. Sad

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 19/10/2018 23:13

...then Inconvenient Cat came in with a tick, which we had to get off him, and reminded me that I forgot to buy the flea treatment today. Arghhhhhhhhhhh.

But the beach was fun.

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2018 00:21

I am back wenches.

A rather fabulous time has been had, rather sweaty too! Am now having a brew before I head to the chateau. Aramis can indeed appreciate the snug fit of my t shirt Helen. And I shall appreciate Aramis’s snug fit

Bastards for leaving/not looking for the cat Angry

Eeeeek at the duffed laptop! And at wench staging a jailbreak for Marchal only for him to end up in chains again.

Thanks for the Wine Wicked

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2018 10:02

Morning wenches

Marchal said he’s waiting at the chateau for anywench who wants to pop by. He’ll slip back into the chains before you get there

Stuff to do here like washing and shite.

SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/10/2018 10:05

Hurrah for having a fabulously sweaty time LetUs* Grin

Morning. Ah - the joys of autumn. Bright clear chilly mornings, clearing leaves out of the kitchen drain so that the washing machine can drain properly... Bliss Hmm Grin Still, it's bright and sunny out there , so the gauntlets are drying outside, and the washing might have a chance of getting mostly dry on the line. And Vomit Cat is sitting on my lap purring happily.

Also, I have suggested that DH simply swaps hard drives between two laptops as a quick fix, and apparently I may be a genius. (Or responsible for entirely wrecking his laptop, depending on how that goes.)

Now I shall go and stew up another stone of windfall apples - domestic mundanity rules ok.

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2018 14:04

A fabulously sweaty time was indeed had by all Helen, and the gig was great too Grin

You are of course a genius Helen

Am thinking about putting the washing on the line. If I can cope with the excitement that is.

I’ve found something more annoying that DH watching and commentating on the football. He’s been joined by both DC and they’re all talking. I’ve put my headphones on and am trying not to make whimpering noises as I watch what makes me happy Grin

OP posts:
LetUsPrey · 20/10/2018 17:22

Have started Lethal White. Have to make myself put it down every so often to get up and do stuff.

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 20/10/2018 18:42

Pfft to stopping yourself LetUs - just bury your head in the book and read until you're done. (And save the whimpering noises for the HBFs)

I have been cultural at the theatre this afternoon. I don't know - Fancy and me at theatres, LetUs at Musical events. We are clearly a hugely cultural lot.

Unfortunately I have come home with a banging headache, so I'm planning to do the bath/bed/HBF thing very shortly.

Also, Yay for 700,000 people marching in London!

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2018 19:04

I could combine the burying of my head and the whimpering HBFs WinkGrin Look, I’ve made a head start

The march looked fab

Ohno for headache but hurrah for theatre. Hope you feel better soon. Athos can do soothing things to you.

Evening wenches.

Hope the headache's better soon Helen.

I haven't been cultural. I've been at DD's giving opinions on furnishings, light fittings and decorating etc. Which is nice. We do the same because we value their opinion and we're still living in the eighties.

Off to fast forward through Strictly. Hmm

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2018 21:02

The word you’re looking for is “classic” Apricot.

Not sure screaming one’s head off, singing along, dancing and going a bit bonkers at a U2 gig counts as cultural but m happy to go along with it Grin

I’ve done Strictly Apricot. Some great, some good, lots of meh

OP posts:
FancyFancy · 20/10/2018 21:23

Hola!
Have eaten too much and am relaxing back at the hotel Smile
Bastards for leaving the cat behind, he looks gorgeous apricot. I hope you can persuade MrA to let him in as I reckon you'd be a match made in heaven.

LetUsPrey · 20/10/2018 21:53

Relaxing at a hotel sounds like an excellent plan Fancy

We’re watching some Father Ted. Will you have a sandwich? They’re diagonal Grin

OP posts:
SisterHelenoftheEternalCatchUp · 21/10/2018 08:58

Grin at diagonal sandwiches. I promised DS we'd start watching Father Ted, but I diverted him onto Musketeers instead.

Glad you're having a good time Fancy appreciation of food (and of interior decorating apricot ) are also cultural activities. Definitely.

Is all lovely and sunny here, and the headache seems to be gone - hurrah!!

LetUsPrey · 21/10/2018 09:09

Morning wenches.

Hurrah for headache being gone!

Sunny here too (ish)

Not sure what’s going on with the weather/temperature but my asthma is really playing up. And I think DS1 is starting with it so he’ll be off to the GP this week —if he can get an appointment—

We tried DS1 on Father Ted. Nothing. Strange person.
