Have a great time everyone! I'll expect I'll get all the gory info from Custdie, I'd better do anyway!!! I'll be with you all in spirit - if you see a pint of Guinness that will be me!

MABS · 03/10/2002 20:39

Sorry, been unbelievably busy. I'm still coming (if you'll have me). I'm keen to meet CAM, who I think lives very near me.

MABS · 04/10/2002 18:34

Dannie - of course we'll have you - really looking forward to meeting you all. You know the details - Al Duomo Restaurant 1pm tomorrow, table in the name of Brown.

CAM and I have given some rather sketchy directions previously on this thread - if you need directions

See you then ,

CAM - it's just that title, 'Road to Perdition' that puts me off. Sounds so dull and worthy. Plus hate the way Tom Hanks is hailed as 'World's Greatest Living Actor' kind of thing. I mean, he's not terrrible but he is always and forever, Tom Hanks.

Tinker · 04/10/2002 18:48

Oooops, wrong thread. Should be on films one!!!

CAM · 04/10/2002 20:01

Yes Tinker, I went to see it DESPITE doughboy having the starring role. Perdition is not what you think, but you can only find that out by seeing the film. Can't give anything away.

CAM · 04/10/2002 20:02

Dannie, looking forward to meeting you - didn't know I lived near you - I look forward to all being revealed tomorrow!

jodee · 04/10/2002 20:25

And I'll be keeping a close eye on the diners at the next table, they will probably be incognito Mumsnetters! (sorry Soupdragon!)

bossykate · 05/10/2002 09:35

have a great time today!

now you really will be looking around everyone in the place thinking "are they...?"

tigermoth · 05/10/2002 09:43

Oh dear. I think I'll be getting a reputation as the Mumsnetter least able to hold her drink... But it was such good fun getting drunk and disorderly in such congenial company... Lovely to meet everyone.
I hope your adorable daughter didn't think I was a scary nutter, CAM! Thanks ever so much to you and yours for the lift to the station. Don't remember a huge amount about my journey home so it's probably just as well I wasn't wandering drunkenly about Brighton!

ScummyMummy · 06/10/2002 10:18

Sorry Jodee, also wanted to say that I hope you're feeling better. Was disappointed that you had to leave early and hope we'll be able to catch up at the Xmas do.

jodee · 06/10/2002 12:05

Thanks for organising yesterday, MABS, it was great to meet you, Custardo and Dannie, and catch up with CAM and Scummy again!

Sorry I had to wimp out after the garlic bread, I haven't had a bad migraine in ages - and whaddya know, as soon as I get a chance for a day out - wham! Just made it home before ... well, I won't go into details!

Scummy, did I miss you getting drunk and disorderly AGAIN!

CAM · 06/10/2002 13:46

Hello to the girls I met yesterday, thank you Mabs for organising it and great to meet you, sorry you left early Jodee but nice to see you again however briefly(hope you're feeling better), custardo - lovely to meet you ,glad I can put a face to your name when I'm chuckling at your posts , Dannie how interesting that you live 5 mins walk away from me and that I saw you again this morning (I will ring you), Scummy fantastic to see you again (even if you are a bad influence) and my dd thought you were beautiful and lovely and funny (her words) but then you did give her a present!! Hope to catch up with all of you on 30 November

SoupDragon · 06/10/2002 15:06

Jodee, I can guarantee I wasn't there yesterday!

Dannie · 06/10/2002 22:07

Nice to see you all yesterday. MABS, thanks so much for organising, Jodee, hope you're feeling better. CAM, i should have taken your number (felt bit self conscious this morning) do you want to meet for coffee on Thursday?

CAM · 07/10/2002 14:49

Dear Dannie
Thanks for the invitation but can't do this Thursday - I will find your number and ring you to meet on another day.
