DEB - 2 months is not a long time and as Altin says, it is best to wait for them to call you as they are probably submitting your DS for stuff everyday but he may not be the right height, colouring, etc etc but his time will come and you will probably find that he gets loads of stuff at once. My dc have done junior, elc, mothercare, bhs to name a few. Trust me they are a good agency and I am sure they will call you at some point!!!(normally for us its when loads of other stuff is going on!!!)

nally · 02/06/2007 10:51

are my kids cute or what??? shall i see if i can get them in somewhere?

crazylazydaisy · 02/06/2007 11:26

They are gorgeous children nally! I put my 2 into it as I fancied doing something different while they were toddlers - they are with Scallywags. I havent had such a good time tho - not even a phone call since about October and no work just a few castings before that. So am out of pocket around £700. I hope if you do do it you have a great time - just have a little pot you can afford to lose or go with somewhere where they dont ask a lot of start up costs

marymay · 02/06/2007 11:29

very cute..try motmodels, bruce and brown ,kidslondon and urban angels.good luck

3littlepigs · 02/06/2007 12:03

Marymay, don't know what the M&S is for but reckon they must be seeing a few if its between 10-6!!!!

marymay · 02/06/2007 13:07

yes i think loads must be going my two are 11 and 8.but i know some little ones are going as well. my ds did a job for m&s two weeks ago and they only cast for his age group then.

hi guys,
we've not had any phone calls or anything. good luck with m&s casting, i love the advert out at the mo, what beautiful children on there, its a great ad, bet theres some really proud parents out there.
i want my little one to get something soon before she gets big, nearly 6 months...

Ragamuffin · 04/06/2007 11:55

Fairly sure that the latest M&S Advert was filmed in South Africa. I recognise the beaches!! They would have used S.A. kids.

Tinkerbel5 · 04/06/2007 14:32

I love that advert, and the last one with the children dancing in the playground.

mummyeme · 04/06/2007 15:05

Hello,
I'm new and would really love any advise please. My LO has been offered Rascals, Bizzykidz, Scallywags want to see her and UA was a no. Seriously considering Bizzykidz but not sure. Used to be with NCA where she got a lot of castings and 1 job so shes definitely got potential.
Please, please all advice gratefully received.
Thankyou all!

Lolly68 · 04/06/2007 15:38

Mummyeme - also try KidsLondon, MOT and Bruce and Brown. They have little or no start up fees.

mummyeme · 04/06/2007 15:45

Thanks MOT have just got back and they say they have too many girls in her age group already. Tried Kidslondon and B&B before and it was a no but I will try again, thanks. Any experience of Bizzykids?
Thanks again for your reply

Lolly68 · 04/06/2007 16:10

Have had no experience of BK although a few people have but can't comment on work etc. MY DD with B&B. Have you tried Elisabeth Smith or Truly Scrumptious. High start up fees but they are reputable.

Tinkerbel5 · 04/06/2007 16:42

I have seen a TS and a BK child at a casting and a job, havnt seen a Scallywag although its not to say that that dont get jobs as I am sure they do.

Rubystar77 · 04/06/2007 16:58

hi, one of mine with scallywags and one with bk..
i know from cousins scallywags is good and friendly and they got quite a bit of work with them, bk so far seem very friendly, no jobs yet, but joined both in april.
had bad expreience with rascals were very rude to me on a number of occasions.
i feel that they are representing your children and you pay them so they should have the courtesy to be friendly on the phone and reply to emails, which scallywags and bk do. good luck with the interviews, how old is your child mine are 6 months and 18 months .

mummyeme · 04/06/2007 17:22

Hi,
She's nearly 3. I expect yours will soon get work, as we were with NCA 4 months before we heard anything.
Thanks for your messages

goingfor3 · 04/06/2007 17:47

Ragga I'm fairly sure that this girl in the yellow tie is in the M&S advert and she's with a London agency as I have seen her at a job. May just be a look alike though!

goingfor3 · 04/06/2007 17:50

Just had a proper look and I think it's someone similar looking to her.

TalliesMum2007 · 04/06/2007 18:14

Im after some advice girls can a babie go into modelling if they dont live in london? are there any agencies in wales?

thanks talliesmum

3littlepigs · 04/06/2007 18:23

from the m&s website ......."Shot on a dazzling white beach in South Africa, the new kidswear TV ad saw our boys and girls having fun in the sun in M&S's finest summer ranges. Set to the tune of "Hey, hey, we're the Monkees", the group frolicked with a retro camper van, surfboards, a kite and a trampoline, all in this season's bright and beautiful kids' clothes"
I know alot of summer shoots are done in SA because the chances of the sun shining are a bit better than here!!!!!!!!

julie4travel · 04/06/2007 18:45

mummyeye- scallywags were very professional agency, photos were fab, downpoint for us was one job in a year which didnt compensate for the fees we paid out. bk are on albas website as a a listed agency, i know some mums with them who get work with bk , i believe their fees are a lot cheaper than some other agents. we got nos from bb originlly yet they took my ds on after the third time applying as they were concerned re distance for us. good luck in your decisions. we got lots of nos and went with what we thought was the best options in the end.

Ragamuffin · 04/06/2007 20:24

Yes S.A. is a very popular location for TV Advert crews and many of the UK ads are filmed there......the vast majority in Cape Town. Actually it never ceases to amaze us how many!!

They almost always use models from there as S.A. has such a multi-cultural diverse society that it is easy to find a good mix. They would only take models there if they needed them to talk with a British accent..... Like the Jaffa Cakes advert which my kids cast for Dec a year ago which was filmed on a Cape Town beach. Unfortunatley we didn't get that one!

blondiepops · 04/06/2007 21:26

Hi ya I have been thinking about putting my 2 daughters in for modelling but would really like some advice on agencys to apply for

dancerdeb · 04/06/2007 21:36

Blondiepops, try for Bruce & Brown, KIdslondon, Mot, and Urbanangels, if not successful go for Bizzykidz, Alphabetkidz, Elisabeth Smith, Scallywags, and TrulyScrumptious the latter whom I have seen at various castings with my ds, we have just joined KL, and my elder ds is with BK whom I find to be very good also!! wish you all the best asap
