Is anybody oiut there everybody seems to have dissapeared?

I have heard of Model Child, a couple of our students are with them. Their parnets say that on the whole they are OK, a few jobsm a few castings.

Obviously this is second hand information, I have had no dealings personally.

i rang them yesterday to see if they had the details for tha casting, they didn;t have but she said it was still going ahead but not heard anything since then, so i take it she never got put forward.
i suppose it was only availability check, annoying tho as i swapped day at work in case.. oh well...
don't think they will ring today unless its a late afternoon one?!
don't know anyone in person so can't chat on the msm group, i just remember alot of mums from chatting last year...

Just got a call from UA regarding a casting for a walk on part in a commercial for Defra tomorrow so am very excited as haven't had a casting for a couple of months! Is anyone else going?

Thanks Rubystar77. Has anyone ever heard of Defra? Apparently they are a greetings card company, but when I google them, all that comes up is the Department of Farming and Rural Affairs. I am just begining to feel a tad dubious. I would be grateful if anyone could shed some light? Don't want to question the agency, in case I'm wrong, but feel I may have to before we go.

Bigmumma I found ' Trade Association for Greeting Card Publishers ' on google, might be a case of reading websites to get a jest of them, I think UA would have thoroughly investigated the client before they submitted them model details, I know everyone is warey cause of what happened with bog jobs last year.

Thanks Tinkerbel5. Just phoned UA actually and they said they didn't give a website, but said it was Defra, Carbon footprint. I googled that and a website came up relating to the Department of Farming and Rural Affairs. I think, although am not 100% it is actually something to do with reducing CO2 admissions. clj118 - have a look at www.carbonfootprint.com (Don't quote me on this though as don't want to give anyone any misleading info, but was just concerned when I couldn't find them on the net).

Hi, My partner works with Defra on a regular basis and they are a totally legit company dealing with enviromental issues. Hope this helps.

Does anyone know how kl promote their kids, do they have a webpage etc and your given a password like bk? and you can see your childs profile, just wondering, and prefer to ask you mums!

KL do promote all their kids and they do have a web model book which only clients can access - don't give parents a logon I am afraid! The next model book shoot is in sept/oct time.

Just got back and it seemed to go reasonably well, but hard to tell. I didn't go in, but my Partner did and they filmed my DS another adult model male actor and another female actor together. My Partner said that DS appeared to be enjoying himself and my Partner did too, so if nothing comes of it, it was a good experience. x

clj118 - How did your casting go?

bigmumma, the casting seemed to go well. Didn't go in, she went in with a lady there were casting as the mother and they both came out about 10 mins later. The guy who was casting said she didn't stop talking and they heard all about me and dd2!!! He said she was good, so we'll see, it was hard not being in there though and tried asking her what she had to do but she seems to like keeping it a seret to herself!!!LOL Glad your ds casting went well.

nothing our end,dd1 photo shoot next sunday with bk. hope shes in a good mood and performing, just turned 18mths and you know what they are like at that age!

oh and forgot to say , hope you and ds feels better soon, poor you, seems alot going around again! i blame the weather, feel like we've had summer and winter back again!

no castings or anything for us this week, knowing my luck i will get a call when the kids are back at school!

hi quad - yes all well, are your kiddies still busy bees? are they still with ua.for some reason i thought we would have had a call this week ( is that wishful thinking) mine have just had 1 job each this year and dd had another casting which she didnt get

we have been quiet could have had a few bits but through personal circumstances haven't been able. I think during half tersm etc we expect to be busy but the guys in the industry don't see it the same way parents do! Am thinking about jacking it all in tbh, am starting a job soon and am not sure how its all going to pan out, would hope to be able to continue but its a case of waiting and seeing.
