Just had my 20 week appt-all was fine, low blood pressure, which is why I've been feeling a bit dizzy. They scanned again and also couldn't find any markers for downs either. Have got to have a GTT, as Dad has diabetes, also a growth scan at 28 weeks, to check that it is growing enough (checking that blood flow is ok through the placenta)

Josie-good news about the markers! That must have helped. I had to have a GTT but came back normal so was relieved.

We seem to be flying through our pregnancies!!

Very envious about you being off work!!
Mind you it's the holidays coming up, so apart from running about like a looney after my boys, my time is my own (spare time, what spare time???)

No...im still here...thought i was having it the other night though, had period type pain lower back and stamache but it lasted for 14 hours constantly then just disappeared. Today had alot more tightings and twinges, however still nothing. Just been bouncing anout on my birthing ball
Due date not until the 27th, dh stops 17th, im a bit worried the lo not here by the end of his 3 weeks holiday Just need to wait and see.

How are you both keeping????
Hope you are both well...edie, hope you are enjoying the mat leave. Need to go...still bouncing on this birthing ball as i sit here at the pc...back is starting to get a bit sore now.

How exciting! I thought that was going to be a birth announcement!

Im fine thanks, loving being on mat leave, get to eat and sleep when I want. Baby extremely active, she doesn't stop wriggling and kicking, especially at night. Having loads of BH too, in the evenings I get them every 10-15 minutes, hoping this is fairly normal, MW didn't seem too bothered when I told her about it.

Think I may have to buy a birthing ball too...

I'm fine, glad you both are too.
Tired because I stayed up half the night last night reading, then there was a spider by my side of the bed, didn't want to wake up DH as he'd done a charity bike ride yesterday, so went to share a cabin bed with DS1

Good to hear you are both well.
I thought baby was coming today, had severe contractions which lasted about 20 minutes, then disappeared, came back on and off but still nothing....so'i'll keep you both informed...although keep thinking i'll still be here in a weeks time, this lo is just too comfy to come out.

Hi Josie...

No show, and no sign of waters breaking...nothing much today, apart from a bit of cramp here and there..been jumping up and down on the birthing ball, but nothing, so just have to wait and see.

I'm recovering as it was DS2's birthday yesterday and I stupidly decided to hold his friends and his family party on the same day and have thought about nothing else for ages, collapsed in heap today then did some retail therapy!!

Jossie, hope the party went well. Its ds b/day today...no parties though as hes 13, so took him shopping then out for a meal...still nothing today...glad right enough, didnt want anything happening on ds b/day.

Still nothing....although very sore contraction type pain about an hour ago, once i got on all fours to hoover the stairs the pain went away so still not sure if its bh or contractions?????I'll keep u both informed, i have the hosp tomorrow morning at 9, so we'll see what they have to say.

Girls, im back from hosp, they are happy to leave me 10days, babies head is almost fully engaged, that must have been what the pain was lastnight.

Glad to hear that you are ok Lynne-I know I was surprised at how much it was uncomfortable when DS2s head fully engaged. Feel sorry for you looking like you are going over, get the fresh pineapple out to eat!!!

Jossie, been eating pineapple the last couple days, apparently that only works if you eat loads and loads...so given up on them.
Had alot of contraction type pain today, but only when i'm mobile. Im still bouncing up and down on the b/ball. (well exercise ball) Thats what i meant to say to you both...if you have a bodycare chemist in your area they are selling them for £3.99 and they are brilliant.

Still here girls...convinced this baby is as laid back as me and dh and theres no way its coming out without being induced...everythings came to a stop, even think its little head is no longer engaged...must have thought about coming out, then thought no turn back!! All pains, tightings and bh contractions have all stopped????

Was wondering how you were doing Lynne!
I was at a friend's wedding yesterday, so am shattered today. It was a lovely day, very relaxed and informal-DH took advantage of my not drinking , but he had to be up at 6.30 this morning for a 12 hour day at work
My parents had the boys yesterday and overnight, so picked them up this morning.

Im still relaxing on mat leave, it's my birthday tomorrow so DP is paying for me to get hair done and then posh meal in the evening.

Just ordered my TENS machine, only 6 weeks to go

Still no sign of this lo, had a few tightings but thats it. Think i'll have to wait to be induced again. I have day care tomorrow at 10.30 so see how i get on then.

Edie, I'm 24 weeks on Friday, been doing well, but have a stomach bug at the moment (thought it was my IBS, but don't think so now). I thought the other day that if this LO was born at the same gestation as DS1 then I'd only got 15 weeks to go (14 now)

Been to see gp today, she wants me to ask to be induced tomorrow or as soon as...she explained the hospital are very happy to leave me 12-14 days over but they dont take me into consideration...size of baby, as its now putting on half a pound each week and as its already a big baby, she doesnt want it to get any bigger and give me complications at birth...also my fingers and feet have swollen up the last couple of days and doesnt want to risk me getting pre-clampsia,although my blood pressure has been the same throughout, i think im ok there.They left me 2 weeks with ds but dr xplained second babies are usually bigger and since ds was 8 lb10, they expecting a 10 pond baby this time
I'll let you both know tomorrow. x
